One trick I mostly used until I saw this was I would start the terraforming mission, and then use the tools to terraform like a purple spice planet or something. I would then go back to the homeworld when I ran out, say that I lost the tools, and get them back for only 1k, and then terraform some other purple spice planet. Opposite of a useful Glitch: If you find one of the Save Systems without having a save in it yet (easiest way being to start the Space Stage and find the star's name and position, quit without saving) and upgrade the planets in the system with another save, you'll softlock the intro mission. In my case, it directed me to go to the moon instead of the planet with the crashed ship on it. On the other hand, assuming you don't upgrade the other planets, you _can_ sculpt the starting planet, and some of the changes will stick. While it respawned some water to break the Landmass back into two continents, all of the Spice Geysers I'd raised from the sea remained connected to one of the two landmasses. That said, I wasn't particularly thorough, it's possible if I made more land bridges that they would have remained connected and the one I made was just in a bad spot.
Yeah it's interesting we can't pre-terraform the other planets in our system. I've tried that for some interesting speedruns, but yeah it always breaks the tutorial mission. But we can use the sculpting tools on our home planet to make the speedrun even faster! By removing enough of the land, Tribal Stage can only spawn 1 other tribe and only requires interacting with that 1 tribe to pass the whole Stage!

There is a Spore Patch available online that enables you to double the amount of RAM you can allocate to the game. It helps to keep the game stable a lot.
I've found a pretty weird and strange glitch in space stage. Literally typing this comment after I found it. In order for this glitch to work, you would need to play civ stage completly until you can advance to space stage. This is not possebile when starting direclty from space, because the city needs to be either military, religious or economic. The "Colony" city style does not work. So, after completing civ stage, you should have several small cities. If you then advance to space stage, and leave your planet, then go back in, all small cities will suddenly be converted into big citys. This is noticable by looking at the building placement of each city. Every big city, has the exact same pattern as the small city, just wth more paths. So the buildings that were originally in a small city, will still be in the big city, because the same pattern also exists in a big city. This doesn't give too much of an advantage tho, all it does is generate more spice if you were to place more factories, but that's basically it. Still is sort of helps you if you just completed civ stage and need some more money at the start of space.
That is interesting! I just tried it and it totally works! That's also helpful for putting in more turrets for when our Homeworld gets attacked in Space :D
I did this again on another save thing and I had to pay the space empire two times JUST to do a trade route because the one that seemed happy with us I could not find and two others were made at me also the one that makes your ship a ghost ship basically does not work for me
@@KinglyValence I found this exploit a while ago and thought it was common knowledge. But now I'm not sure because I can't find any information on it. So I recorded it: ua-cam.com/video/7ZhG92cOVng/v-deo.html. It's beneficial as it allows to complete all GA missions quickly. Interestingly, the needed space empire would very often spawn near the Homeworld. I played on clean installation with no custom creations except the captain. Maybe the game uses player-created content near the Homeworld with a higher probability than Maxis creations?
@@KinglyValence Also, creating a Sporecast with the desired captain and setting it as a theme when starting a new game should boost chances of encountering needed empire near the Homeworld.
That is very interesting, I will definitely investigate this too! Maybe I can use this in a Galactic Adventures glitch compilation one day, I will 100% credit you for showing me this if I include it :) The game prioritizing player made custom creations over the Maxis ones appears to be true. This is usually the case as well for the extra creatures gained when using the Summon Flock ability in Creature Stage. Hey KinglyValence my friend and I started a new game in creature stage once, and the starting nest was underwater. Going onto land caused instant death to the seamonster, have you come across this before?
I have not seen this occur naturally, however I know how to force this to happen. Using Space Stage terrain tools on a planet that will be used as a different saved game in the future, remove the land to where the nest will be and the new game's nest will be underwater. And for some reason this appears to invert the water/land to survive in water but get sea monstered on land as you described. Very interesting!

Regarding the ghost ship to remove the invisibility I did another method and it was not necessary to use RefillMotives Method 1: Reach the center of the galaxy with the invisibility glitch, before entering the core use the Repair Pack or use the Mega Repair Pack, they should not restore the energy of the ship, only the health. When repairing your ship, flying over a grox system, you will see that they shoot at you but they do not lower your life, it lowers your life when you fly over the solar systems due to lack of energy, after that enter the core to obtain the Staff of life. You will see that health and energy have been restored, but your ship is still invisible. After that, fly over grox solar systems to waste energy and life decreases until the ship is destroyed. You will respawn on your main planet or colony and the invisibility has been removed. Method 2 (Play as Shaman): Reach the center of the galaxy with the invisibility glitch, before entering the core use the Repair Pack or use the Mega Repair Pack, they should not restore the energy of the ship, only the health. When repairing your ship, flying over a grox system, you will see that they shoot at you but they do not lower your life, it lowers your life when you fly over the solar systems due to lack of energy, after that you enter the core to obtain the Staff of life. You will see that health and energy have been restored, but your ship is still invisible. After that, fly over a Grox solar system, enter a planet and use the return ticket. You will appear in your main solar system and the invisibility has been removed.
That worked! Thank you so much! I didn't know using a Repair Pack before going into the Galactic Core would keep our ship destroyable after the cutscene! I also didn't know Return Ticket would work to restore our ship while being a ghost ship as well. Those are very good to know! Something else I found very interesting, I used the Return Ticket after the cutscene but without using a Repair Pack first, and it did restore the ship but it also kept certain qualities from the ghost ship. Return Ticket without pre-repairing no longer soft locks the game when entering planets, and plays basically normal, except we stay invincible! This is might legitimately be an invincibility glitch for Space! Some strange effects of still retaining some ghost ship mechanics are present like Saving in the menu doesn't work but Control+S does, other ships don't interact with us so they never attack us when attacking their planets, and we can not lose health ever, at least I haven't found any way yet. I think at this point Refillmotives is the only way out but might not need to anymore! I'll add this explanation to the description of the video and credit you for it as well :D
No matter what I try, I can't get the ghost ship trick to work - It's either I blow up or I save, I must've tried atleast 30 times now. Could it be dependent on your computer? I have my spore files saved on an SSD, which may mean when the game tries to access the save data there's a much shorter window for the click to register than on a slower drive, maybe? EDIT: I finally made it work on a complete fluke. The timing is really specific but you can get it to work, evidently.
one time i was trying to get knight with perfect abilities so RRGB and while i was trying to become industrious i put mist over a country i was at war with and another one got mad at me for no reason.
I just tried it, using the "Black Cloud" ability on another Nation gives them at least a -30 "You attacked us" relationship penalty towards our Nation.
@@KinglyValence I used the black cloud ability on Green while i was at war with them but lavender was sieging them down. Lavender got mad at me for attacking them despite me putting the mist on green's city. Did I give one of their tank operators depression or something?

two of my most important save files now crashes the game every time I load it. It's terribly depressing. You seem to know a lot about spore. Is there anything I can do? I fear that if I continue playing spore more of my save files will fall to the same fate.
Sorry for late reply, try using the Unofficial 4GB RAM patch, found here davoonline.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=125&t=9424 Spore is limited to only using 2GB of Ram as a 32-bit game but this raises it to 4GB which can help prevent it from running out of Ram and crashing in some cases. Also try deleting the GraphicCache.package files in the "Spore" folder from the Roaming files in Windows, found by seaching "%appdata%" into Windows. This can help clean up the game as these files get huge and might contribute to the Ram limits. Make sure to backup this whole Spore folder first :) In the menu raise the Graphics Cache limit to the maximum 4096MB as well. Make sure to Spore on the latest version, old versions are super crash heavy. Current patch is 1.5 on Disc but all digital distributions like Steam/Origin are always on the latest version. I've also found that switching between Galactic Adventures and the base game can cause issues, not use if this happening but thought I'd mention it. I hope that helps! :D

I'll add this explanation to the description of the video and credit you for it as well :D
didnt see anyone this so here

No matter what I try, I can't get the ghost ship trick to work - It's either I blow up or I save, I must've tried atleast 30 times now. Could it be dependent on your computer? I have my spore files saved on an SSD, which may mean when the game tries to access the save data there's a much shorter window for the click to register than on a slower drive, maybe?
EDIT: I finally made it work on a complete fluke. The timing is really specific but you can get it to work, evidently.
Glad you got it to work! Yeah, the timing is really tight but gets easier with practice :)
I just use cheats but this is useful
one time i was trying to get knight with perfect abilities so RRGB and while i was trying to become industrious i put mist over a country i was at war with and another one got mad at me for no reason.
@@Bigzthegreat Hmm, interesting. The Lavender tanks must have been in some AOE range. That's good to know if I were to be in that situation as well!
Bruh why w9nt the ghost ship work, its said it saved and my ship died, still wont work
Did you also quit and load back in the game? You will respawn at home as a regular ship, but will be a ghost after reloading back in.
pls make a tip on how to beat civilisation stage on religous hard mode i cannot at all pls
I can make an in depth video on Civ on Hard for all specialties, sounds fun! I also have a couple speed runs of Civ on Hard as Religious too :) ua-cam.com/video/dXlCIG3glKY/v-deo.html
two of my most important save files now crashes the game every time I load it.
Make sure to backup this whole Spore folder first :)
In the menu raise the Graphics Cache limit to the maximum 4096MB as well.
Weed.
The worst glitch: impossible task.
so there's a slower way to get infinite animal/terraforming tools from that mission... well... you can terraform the galaxy as long as you don't terraform the one planet they ask of you. easy t3 planets across your empire early on.
How do you destroy your ship or get out of Ghost ship mode with Refill Motives thing? lol your a ghost ship and destroying it without the ability to enter a planet is impossible...lol thanks for the tip only way Ive ever been able to hit the core in Military mode ever...lmao
