I'm stoked to take this 30-day journey with you. I love hearing from you; let me know if you have any questions below.
Nothing like a well-timed bark during Savasana
Hahaha perfect time!
At first I thought it was my dog!
My dog went crazy!
thanks for the heads up. lol
Thank you for all the visualizations! I am hypermobile in my shoulders and hips, the visualizations help me get into alignment. I finally feel my core activating like it should!
Day 5 done ✅
Great. Thanks.
Me: Ah, time to stretch out and relax and do some yoga with Tim.
Tim 20 minutes later: So you are being hung like you are in the Spanish Inquisition. Confess!
Hahaaa 😂
Did anybody else jump when the dog barked?? 😂
Oh Ollie. Sorry about that.
@@yogawithtim Not at all - Put a smile on my face!
Yes lol
A dog outside my house barked in reply. It was gorgeous!
Yep! 🙋🏻♀️
Stacy has such a beautiful practice and Tim your sense of humor is so refreshing. Thank you for bringing Ollie too, he's a cutie. I'm really enjoying the challenge so far.
I am so happy you enjoyed Stacy today, and Ollie too. Thank you for joining me Federica.
Nobody expected the Spanish inquisition!
Ha ha !
Tim must of been up late the night before making this and he found a documentary on the Spanish inquisition. I'm sure Stacy was like what about witches and ropes. I like it when Tim goes off script but I'm sure it makes Stacy nervous.
@@stevem9773 Or is just a big Monty Python fan... which would fit with the rest of the quirky humour :) ua-cam.com/video/Cj8n4MfhjUc/v-deo.html
100 brits in the comments then
Ollie being an absolute mad lad drinking that rain water and barking during corpse pose. That's the kind of content that brings me back to the mat.
Oh Ollie. Good thing he is cute. Thanks Tyler for joining us today.
Another incredible day. To answer your question yes absolutely enjoy the extended videos. Actually the longer the better .. thanks to you and Stacy for this ..
Thank you for the feedback Nadia on the longer videos. I appreciate it.
Love when you said “do boat pose like a normal person!” Thanks for that. I was not feeling normal until then. Ha! Also is it “normal” that I can’t go from low boat back up without pushing myself?
Yes, it's normal. When you build up more ab and hip strength you can do it without pushing yourself.
For me, 30 mins is the perfect lenght for a working day morning practice.
yes same here
Same!
My two new favorite words in the English language are YogaWithTim, and Shavasana. Man that was tough. I forget to breathe a lot which makes me laugh because I’ve been an athlete my entire life. I am so grateful for you Tim and for these videos. I have a lot of conversations with you during the sessions, like “please Stop”, “no not again”, and “Tim I gotta pause you cause I need some water”. Tim you are helping me to stay healthy during this crazy time of quarantine. I write a weekly gratitude blog and you will be a grateful topic this week. Thank you so much. Namaste
Digging the pelvic bowl thing, that was a super helpful cue for me to activate those low abs and keep the lumbar stable. Looking forward to day 6!
Glad to hear that was helpful Jakob. YES Day 6 coming at us tomorrow!
In my case length and time comes by itself. I never exercise with the video, instead, I watch it a couple of times, then write down the Asana sequence, and then start totally concentrating on myself also trying to remember your comments. That works best form me. Sometimes I do a minute or two longer, but it also happens that I am a couple of minutes "faster". It all depends on my individual rythm which also changes.
Thank you for taking the time to explain to me how you are using the videos. I am happy to hear what works best for you and appreciate the feedback Andre.
Excellent. I practice Yoga for 14 years in the 30th and 40th, now coming back when i am about to turn 80. I will make it now part os my daily practice.
That's incredible, Maria! 😊 Thanks so much for joining!
Another challenging but inspiring class! I'm a beginner and I really appreciate the detailed descriptions of the poses. I think the length of the videos is great.
Still in! But now I am conflicted on whether I should join the quarantine challenge or stick with the 30day! Either way I'll be following your Videos. Thank you!
Just finished Day 5 for a second time around. Doing the series again. Turned two family members onto yoga who had never practiced! My husband said I will never do yoga and now he has a practice!
question on the Bhanda for the pelvic bowl/basket 😆. Is it a constant hold or does it move with the breath as in a hold/release pattern coordinated with inhale/exhale? I feel like I’m gripping in a most un yoga-like way. Thank you for the excellent free material!!
Some days I feel strong in my practice, today was not one of those days. I felt tired and sluggish but I pushed through! Still here!
Way to still push through and show up for yourself. We all have those days Leanne. Rest up and I will see you tomorrow for Day 6.
Hi, what does pull buttocks towards heels mean ( in various poses you've said this) ? I've wondered this on numeral occasions :P
Been loving the practice. Thanks Tim.
Stoked you like it Devon!
the dog catching diarhea by drinking rain water is the more relatable person in this vidéo ;_; i am not like stacy. i am the dog :D
(seriously though ty tim ! i already feel that my posture is so much better than before. especially by the end of the day !)
I see from the other comments that I’m in the minority, but 30 minute practices generally work best for me, especially during the week. I have a hard time making practices longer than 30 minutes fit into my schedule during the week. It is easier for me to complete longer practices like this on the weekends.
Hi Christina. I understand that during the work week 30 mins is doable. Mayne longer sessions on the weekend when more time is accessible? Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it.
Do you really think 'pretend you're being tortured like a witch or a Muslim' is an ok thing to say?
Today was my challenging day because I just wanted to sit and have one more cup of coffee and be lazy...BUT I did it. It was great and now I can sit and relax with that cup of coffee! See you tomorrow!
Way to show up for yourself Joanna. Enjoy that coffee:) See you tomorrow.
Great to have a longer video. Went quickly. if we want shorter you have those elsewhere.
A bit more intense this one, Tim! I could use some helpful advice on saving my knees. Particularly my right knee. Sometimes in warrior it sounds like the 4th of July is going off. Many yoga instructors talk about back and wrists but rarely refer to knee issues which I have unfortunately. I'm sure I'm not the only one and try to figure out my own modifications without losing the pose altogether. It can be frustrating though!
Hi, I have knee issues as well and therefore struggle with warrior 1. I just do a high lunge instead. I hope that helps. Stay healthy!
Learned my flat back’s position today....thanks Tim 🙏 P.S. Your conversation through practice is engaging😊
Glad you thought so Karen :)
I'm relieved to know that your place gets cloudy too.
I was worried that you were living in a utopia that I'm not aware of, with all the sunsets and perfect weather in the world.
Thanks, Mr. Tim and Ms. Stacy! I enjoyed the hot coffee imagery, to keep my pelvis straight, works every time. Still in!
Still in on day 5. Enjoyed this session thank you for creating it. My reverse plank looks less like a perfect table and more of a sunk-in-the-middle M shape :D
Just keep practicing (:
Done! Another well explained practice and thanks to Stacey for helping you out! Spanish Inquisition? Witches? Ollie eating stuff he shouldn't? Made me LOL. Thanks again for all that you do.
Glad we could add a little humor in there Dee. Thanks for practicing with us.
I really liked this session. My shoulders are my weak point but I do feel I am gaining strength already. Looking forward to tomorrow already :)
Keep working on it! I am excited for you to see improvement over the 30 day challenge.
Shoulders are my weakness too but I completely agree: I can already perceive an improvement!
Just did days 4 & 5- missed yesterday for downhill skiing. I like the 30-40 minute length, but love practicing a whole hour when life permits. Was happy to see Stacy today! Thank you both (& of course Ollie) 🙏🏼😊
Oh fun! I love snowboarding. Way to catch up. Thanks Ellen.
Day 3, I am in! I cant go to classes now- in lockdown and it is so challenging for me to motivate myself to do yoga on my own. This challenge is just what I needed at the perfect time. My body feels so much better when I have a regular practice. 30 minutes a day is perfect, Thank you!
Click the link in the description and sign up for a 2 week trial with the Conscious Movement ! You won't regret it
Starting the challenge again. You’re my absolut favorite yoga channel and teacher. Love all your classes @yogawithtim
What I would wish for, would be a 30day challenge with longer classes. About 60mins would be awesome. Are you planning on doing longer sessions? All the best from Germany, cologne
All of my hour long and up videos are on the conscious movement. You should check it out! You can try it for two weeks free click the link in the description or here: timsenesiyoga.com/start-here-1
Still in and enjoying every minute. Longer session fine up to an hour.
Glad you are enjoying the challenge Mary.
Still in Tim! Yay...Stacy’s back! Really diggin the new backdrop and appreciate the longer duration of this video. Your occasional corny joke gives my core a workout as well!
Glad I can provide you with a little comic relief. Thanks for joining us.
Made time for my practice today after a busy morning and I feel incredibly blessed to use your videos whenever I want to. Forever grateful!
Thanks Tim and Stacey. Enjoyable work out. Generated lots of heat towards the end. Happy New Year All.
Happy New Year to you too!
Thank you Stacey, Ollie and Tim. What a beautiful Sunday morning practice!
Thank you Jana for spending your Sunday morning with the three of us.
I broke a sweat on this one...which is good! Although there is really not much difference between 30 and 40 minutes length, I have to admit when I see its between 29-31 minutes it makes me feel happy, but when I see 35, 39, 44 etc. minutes I feel a little discouraged before I even start. Go figure?!?
Haha isn't that funny how that can mess with our mind before we even begin, but then once we are going the extra few mins we don't notice? Thanks for the feedback Kimberly.
I think Ollie liked today’s practice, too 👍🏻
Ollie loves the challenge and attention he gets:)
I am happy with 30 minutes, but as Paul Anderson says, better a balanced session than fitting to time! My achy lower back coped (just), I learnt about reverse plank (ooh! triceps!), got sweaty, wobbled through the side ones, and generally felt like I'd done some useful work! Nice setting, too.
That is a great reminder and philosophy. Glad you are starting to feel some improvements from your challenge.
Day 5 done and I loved the longer time of this one. I always love when you use Stacy. She has such great form and it's nice to slow down through the movements to really feel the body and how it should be moving properly. I especially loved how you explained the backbend showing how Stacy's lower back had such a nice curve. Thank you!!!
I agree its always nice to have Stacy on the mat with me. Thank you Jennifer for joining me
Thx a lot. I'm enjoying this challenge. I've committed to doing it in the straight 30 days. I'm 58. I'm a closet yogi, just using Tim's videos at home. I've used yoga to heal a torn rotator cuff (2+ yrs in I have 100% movement and 0 pain). I also have an arthritic knee from an old injury, and yoga seems to keep it more flexible. I've been with Tim for about 2 1/2 years. Not an advanced practitioner by any stretch, but pretty satisfied with what I can do these days. I'm liking the length of the videos.
Thank you for taking the time to share this with me Aiden. That's awesome to hear about your rotator cuff. Yoga is amazing at all levels. Keep working on it. See you tomorrow.
Lol Ollie's bark freaked me out at the en of the savassana
Great series Tim, you always make January a great month. Are you going to make any video with headstands?
Its a great way to start out the New Year. Stay tuned:)
unfortunatelly an hour would be much to long for everyday practice :-/ 30 minutes is perfect, 40 it‘s all I can afford having a small monster ;-)
Small monster- haha ;)
this was precise with Stacy and you make it harder when you're not doing yoga :D thankyou.
Haha I will keep that in mind when I am using Stacy. Thanks Ildi.
Lots of spot-on cues in today's practice that made complete sense for my body, thank you!
Question - for twists, you suggested keeping the belly soft. I have always practiced twists with a scooped and engaged core to protect my lower back. Am I wrong to do this??
If you harden your abs forward it would put undue strain on the sacrum low back, you can scoop as long as it is a softening back scoop. The muscles need to stretch to allow you to twist.
OMG! Epic on all levels! Practicing with you guys for years and this was most amazing....the view, the cuing, the authenticity, humor, Ollie, flow....makes coming back to basics a happy place! Thank you you guys so much for all you do and share! Namaste
Thank you Carianne for practicing with me over the past years. I appreciate you joining me.
Yesterday got away from me, did 4 & 5 back to back today. Feel pretty good now back on track for tomorrow is I can still move...:) Thanks you two and Ollie too.
Wow way to catch up and get back on track. See you tomorrow for Day 6 Den.
30-40 minutes is perfect for my busy life. Thanks for asking! I love the hour-long videos in the Conscious Movement community but don't always have time for them.
Thanks for the feedback Kate.
My husband and I have been doing this challenge together, and are so loving it! Also we love your dry and quirky Humor Tim!
That is awesome, Brianna! Glad you and your husband are enjoying the challenge! Haha, why thank you! 😊
Great practice Tim and Stacey (and Ollie). I did it whilst watching cricket and cooking a roast lunch! They say men can’t multi task! 🙏
Wow Austin. You are making the rest of us look bad over here;) Thanks for joining me.
Is it just me or does each class feel like a core session? Not complaining though :) The length was great but not sustainable for me on weekdays, especially not knowing from the night before. Thanks again TIm & Stacy :)
We are working on those cores:) It seems like the general consensus is during the week 30 mins max and longer videos on the weekend. Thanks Diana for your feedback
Hey Team, can you advise on which accessories are needed for the practise? e.g. yoga block...? thanks!
Usually I always use two blocks, sometimes a strap and every now and again a foam roller.
Another follower said this far better than I can - "...really a good one, as the series so far. You two are great together. While you are explaining the details on Stacy's body we have the opportunity to feel all that in our own bodies. the length of the video is fine 30-40min is just perfect! thank you. namaste"
I just read that comment too. Thank you Judi for joining us.
I prefer 30 minutes for the challenge. With the kids, 30 minutes in a row is sometimes hard to get (although sometimes one of them will do (try to do!) the session with me. But whenever I have more time, I choose a longer video. It's really just for the challenge because I don't want to miss a single day :) Thanks for those last 5 days, it's so great to be back into the challenge!!
Thank you for your commitment to the challenge Mylene. I love hearing that 1 kiddo will join you, that's awesome. Look at the example you are setting for your kids.
Wow Tim, you definitely love your planks :0!! I am still in, the 40 mins was not bad, I did it in the afternoon today though I prefer to start my day with yoga so the shorter videos work for me then. Besides with so many planks, that 5 mins less is awesome!!! Lol!!!
Thanks for the feedback Claudia. What a great way to start your day when it permits.
Hi Tim, thanks for another invigorating session. It is very helpful to see other people share their ways of practising yoga. Thank you Stacy for being such a stellar role model. Loidee
Hey Lodiee, Thanks for joining us for Day 5. See you tomorrow.
Thanks for another wonderful session Tim. Was a little tired today and balked at the length of the video, but it didn't feel long or tedious. So yay!! Thumbs up to longer challenges!
Way to show up for yourself Anuja.
Day 5 on row. Love this! 🙏🙏 thanks and huggs for Ollie (my dog prefers rainwater too and i think he is right)
Great job, Silver! You're so welcome! Haha! Ollie says thanks! :)
Ooh...that was a tough one! But accomplished none the less...even when the fluffy puppy came in the room and started licking my ear while in plank position. Gonna turn her into a yoga dog yet!
Aww love our fury friends. Thanks for joining us Tamara.
After resting this weekend did day five today. Surprised how challenging I found the reverse plant. Great to see Stacey helping.
Great job, Terry! 😊 Yes, it can be a very challenging posture.
Today is one sixth of the challenge down. Are we going to do any flows? I prefer practices between 30-35 minutes since its the first thing I do in the morning as I get ready for a day at work.
What a great way to start your day before work. Stay tuned:)
Great video. The 30 minute videos tend to fit better with my schedule, but an occasional longer one is fabulous!
Good to know. I am thinking that it is easier to fit in a longer video on the weekend than during the busy work week. Thanks for your feedback and joining me Sarah.
It looked innocent at first but got challenging through the time. The lenght is fine, actually I didn't notice that the video is longer than before 😅 Thank you for doing this. It feels so good after another practice!!! Thanks 😍
Happy to hear that you were challenged today. Thanks for joining me Iva.
Great practice! Thanks so much, and I hope Ollie is not vomiting. ;)
Oh Ollie bear. Thanks for joining me Marc.
Still here! The time is about at max for me since I have to go back to work. If I don’t do it in the morning I won’t do it. Last year I ended up not doing it because the videos were too long and gettin up before 5 was just not going to happen. I’m determined to stay with it this year!!
Thanks for the feedback Pam. What a great way to start your mornings out but I agree waking up in the 4 o'clock hour is tough.
Like the classes Tim. Could do iwthout the references to historical violence though. 😇💖
Glad you enjoy the classes,Tina! 😊 Thanks for the feedback.
Another fantastic sequence. Love the videos with you, Stacy and Olly!
Great! Thanks Catherine for joining us today.
I don't mind a longer video once a week, though an e-mail about backbends and a 40 min video was a bit scary to wake up to! 😄
Haha but you do it! nice work work Alexis.
Still here... Length is good. Almost didn't make it day 4, but I made the commitment so I am determined. See ya tomorrow!
That's what I like to hear. You are fully committed to yourself. Way to show up Tristen.
I am doing this challenge for the second time. Loved it the first time I did it in 2020 and am loving it again. Ollie was all-in for this session!
Great job, Diane! 😊 So happy to hear you are loving the challenge. Do you notice any differences/progressions in your practice this time around? Haha, yes Ollie really was wanting to practice this day! Keep up the good work
greAt session today! ThAnk you both!
Our pleasure!
OMG. Sweating like a dog! Not sure how Stacey isn't!
That's awesome!
Loved the longer video! Tough evening practice after ropes course and ice skating today 🤪
Wow what a day. Way to get it done Joe.
I took your advice and caught up today. I didn't regret it. Another great practice. Thank you.
Awesome! Way to show up for yourself Michelle.
Took one day off to do some running - back with day 5 - I had a great time. I love the view of that place you got there
Awesome, welcome back! Thank you!
Loving the practice! It was harder for me today but amazing
Great job, Shonnie! 😊 So happy you are loving it!
Today was great but also challenging! Thanks Stacy and Tim.
Thank you for joining us. Glad today was challenging.
After only 5 days, I have seen improvement in my knee mobility after my injury. It feels so good! Thank you so much!
Happy to hear! Keep up the practice
Thank you both for the wonderful practice. See you tomorrow.
YES! Day 6 is coming up for us:)
Day 5 ✅ Loving the daily practice. Thanks again Tim
Great job! You're welcome, Kimberly!
That hit the spot. I am seeing more fluidity in my daily movements. Thank you!
Good to hear that. Thanks Heather
Stiil here and enjoying the classes. Good length of time too. Stacy exhibits great form and is a good role model .
I agree Stacy is great! Thanks Richard for the feedback!
I feel ya :) ...it also helps to reduce my tinnitus noise, thank you.
You're so welcome!
Still here. Great session! 30-40 mins is great before work
What a great way to start your work day out. Thanks for joining me Nancy.
Still here, thank you Tim and Stacey especially Bear!
Our pleasure, Joseph! 🙏
I think my bowl was empty today. oh well, still better than sitting on the couch
Sorry to hear that! I hope this practice helped lift you up and create some light 😊 Better than sitting on the couch for sure!
Day 5! Still in and feeling great! Thanks to both of you!
Stoked to hear that Darryl!
Spanish Inquisition! 😂😂😂
The reverse plank stretch in the shoulders feels absolutely amazing.
I'm going to be a few days behind, maybe a week or so, but I can't wait to get started!
No worries. Glad you are here to join us Kirsty.
Another great day. I enjoy the longer videos. Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback Stephanie.
Still in it! Doing it with two other friends. Loving it! Thanks!
That's awesome, check out the Conscious Movement Community
a very important distraction for me today, grateful for you * three *
Stoked you enjoyed it!
New favorite session. Thanks Tim and Stacy
Awesome Dan. Bookmark this one and be sure to come back to it whenever you need or want to.
I can't figure out the pelvic digging-scooping of the vase/basket/bowl. Does it mean to contract your lower belly? Any advice from people that do get it... Thanks.
Yeah I guess you could kind of say that. Just think of scooping something up from your pelvis what action does that make
@@yogawithtim Thanks, I've been doing it for a couple of weeks now. I feel it like pressing the abs backward and upward. But I don't know if that's the thing. Feels like a lot of ab work anyway and my body is not reacting negatively so hopefully I'm getting it right.
