That's not really because they are weebs, that mindset is repulsive because they are so resentful toward themselves and hate their lives and their selves, they radiate that inserucity. Covering their true undeniable self with fake image (not even convincing enough for themselves) makes interactions with them so uncomfortable. Like Frank said, it's like any other obsession with things you can build fake identity on. Not many humans know themselves and know how to be their authentic selves.

The issue with weeaboos or anyone with an equivalent view on any culture is the fetishization aspect. They don't see the people and culture as... well, people and culture. It's all like one big franchise to be consumed and defiled. They treat human beings like animals in a zoo.
There's a fine line between appreciation and just straight up cultural appropriation. Ive even talked with a couple of Japanese natives in the past that appeared to be a little more traditional, and saw weaboos as foreigners that are appropriating Japanese culture. So it's very unlikely you would hear an emotional outburst like that. A perfect example of a very relaxed and natural sounding anime character in my opinion, is Joker/Ren Amamiya. His Japanese voice actor makes Ren sound very calm normally, but will switch to his "Joker" voice when Ren is being more dramatic.

I always feel the need to defend myself for collecting weapons, in the comments of reaction videos to this. I consider myself an amateur weapons historian, focusing on pre-gunpowder weapons, because I just love the history of them, as well as the artistic qualities. And I don’t just collect Japanese weapons. Two of my prized weapons are an Aztec macquahuitl, and a Maori Taiaha. Both are made of wood and stone, but equally beautiful in their simplicity. Also, you probably already knew this, by now, but Frank always did the ‘false translation’ thing on purpose, to mess with people. Especially people who claim to know Japanese but don’t.
Imo opinion the definition of weeb changed drastically that even myself (who is an otaku) is called a weeb and there are ppl who call themselves weebs even tho hey have pretty normal life and normal relstionships Even i call myself a weeb but there are still those toxic ones who makes even us normal weebs be ashamed of being associated with them I love the culture and the country and its history but what i like the most is the cars and the street/pro racing culture and also food

The weeaboos scare me. I almost turned into one myself at one point, but I guess you can say I had a wake up call. But the thing with weeaboos having poor hygiene is real. Their body odor is on a whole other level.

Teach me Japanese please sir. (I am learning how to draw manga, because I want to draw manga when I am grown up.) I do not consider myself an expert in the language, I only know bits and pieces and phrases from jojo's (hai, Moshi moshi doppio desu) etc. my point is, I would like to learn so that if I am forced into interaction while I am living in Japan when I'm an adult, I will be able to speak properly and not make a fool of myself.

Hey man, don't ever believe anyone who tells you that you don't have what it takes to chase your dreams.
If you want it enough and work hard enough at it, you can accomplish anything. Anybody who tells you otherwise is most likely stuck in that mindset because they failed to do what was needed to live the life they wanted and they lost faith that it's possible, don't be like them.
