shame that some of the best uk shows ran for like 6 episodes in total and somewhat unknown considering their quality. brass eye is fantastic and for a news parody insanely timeless. Garth Marenghi's Dark Place defies the concept of aging and is ep for ep the funniest british comedy. criminally underrated.
Ali G is S tier, why're young ppl so soft now lmfao its the Tropic Thunder type of character, playing a character that is intentionally white-facing/using Jamaican slang while being very clearly that the whole joke was taking the piss out of those weird English dudes that started acting though like they're from the US..
As an avid Peep Show watcher through and through, it did age mostly well aside from a few jokes and bits in the earlier seasons. It also becomes way easier for the jokes to slide by because both Mark and Jeremy are potrayed to be bad and flawed people so none of their behavior is glorified as good

Nice lol
I think the important thing is intent.
The character making the joke, are we as the audience meant to laugh with or at the character saying it? Are they in a positive position or not?
Tons of TV from that era had gay or trans jokes where the joke is literally just, transphobia or homophobia, that's what I consider to be aging badly.
Kerry isn't a fat joke. It's a tall joke.
I already forgot what your sponsor was for because I'm immune to propaganda
If you do a part 2 may i suggest the it crowd, red dearf, the mighty boosh, black books, faulty towers, fry and laury, or monty Pythons flying circus x
shame that some of the best uk shows ran for like 6 episodes in total and somewhat unknown considering their quality. brass eye is fantastic and for a news parody insanely timeless. Garth Marenghi's Dark Place defies the concept of aging and is ep for ep the funniest british comedy. criminally underrated.
the sponsor segment was....woah
literally my childhood lol when in uk or online, i’m praying for the jeremy “breaking taboos” scene or “the bad thing” 😂(iykyk)
You should do this with one foot in the grave, it's dark humour really stands out.
Yes!!! I only watched it for the first time recently but it’s bloody hilarious. The same creator also made Jonathan Creek which is great
@@leeshapon it is, and very rewatchable too
Having to emphasise Rowan Atkinson's other work is "quite strong " is what made me feel old, holy shit.
They got my boy performing 😭🙏
Ali G is S tier, why're young ppl so soft now lmfao
its the Tropic Thunder type of character, playing a character that is intentionally white-facing/using Jamaican slang while being very clearly that the whole joke was taking the piss out of those weird English dudes that started acting though like they're from the US..
its if it aged bad, not if its funny or not.
As an avid Peep Show watcher through and through, it did age mostly well aside from a few jokes and bits in the earlier seasons. It also becomes way easier for the jokes to slide by because both Mark and Jeremy are potrayed to be bad and flawed people so none of their behavior is glorified as good
cps is searching my house but i can't stop that jack manifold grind
the most offensive thing in this video was that sponsor segment oh my god please never do that again i’m scared
update: just got to the blackface parts, that’s worse actually
This might be the best ad in a youtube video ever
No league of Gentlemen but they have Little Britian and Come Fly with me. Shocking
i love that you missed the black face in peep show
Bro really got sponsored by hero wars
Training for a boxing match, but can't stop the Jack Manifold grind
Pissing but can't stop that jack manifold grind
The grapes are finally better and we got James in a Jack video lets goooo
the inbetweeners has aged perfectly
