The Blood Type approach has helped me tremendously. For me, it was not about losing or gaining weight but about which foods had an inflammatory effect on my gut. I am O. I have always had problems with beans and peas, brassica foods always caused bloating, churning and gas, I thrived on a diet low in gluten. Understanding which foods work and don’t work for your blood type is crucial. Many people of African descent are O. Many Os are lactose intolerant. Many people of African descent are lactose intolerant. Many people with IBS, coeliac disease and other gut issues are O. That is why D’Adamo’s book is a jewel!
Completely agree, I thought I was eating healthy for years and intuitively I was already avoiding dairy & pork, however whenever I discovered the science behind the blood type diet it confirmed and reinforced what I already felt after eating certain avoid foods. Been on the bloodtype O diet since 2005 and couldn’t imagine eating any differently for my physical and mental health, and well being.
@@Mraymankarate you're one person. there is no "hard and fast" rule. I'm type O, and according to the Blood Type Diet I should avoid dairy, but dairy is a food that actually makes me feel good, along with the beneficial foods for my blood type. However, a lot of the avoid foods definitely make me feel worse, dairy aside
I was eating healthy, no sugar, no dairy, no gluten, no processed foods or alcohol worked out... and was having gut issues, fatigue, bloating, headaches.... starting following Blood Type diet (I'm type O) and I felt great! I was actually eating ALOT of avoid foods before. I've been following it for a few years now and I definitely feel best on it. I would recommend for anyone to give Blood Type diet a try
Absolutely great diet lots of research behind blood type Google eat right for you blood type. I am Type A and follow it for 5 years best health of my life
My sister had cancer 25 years ago and really followed the Blood Type book. She was very committed to its approach…. And she is alive today. But, interesting that it is still populer!
Gee it took me 4 months to lose 32 lbs. you are doing great. My blood type is o pos so Im wondering if Im eating to much fat on keto. Seems likely, I’ve never ate this much fat before and doing omad faithfully. I even gained back 4 lbs and can’t figure out why.
I also lost 30 lbs in 3 months. It is the only diet I was able to make a life style change with. It has been 6 months and the weight hasn’t come back. I do use intermittent fasting from time to time
Type O's non secretors which are like 80% of population dont do as well on too much fat , i am type O ovary body type but dont do well with vegetables because my digestive system isnt made for that, also you can be any blood type and be different body types obviously but the same diet might not work for an O or B or AB blood type or A blood type, @loiscashner6567
I definitely resonate with the blood type diet, although it seems like everyone and their mom is out to debunk it these days. That's fine. The more research and questioning, the better. But before people throw it out completely because some dude on the internet says it's not legit (correct spelling), I would suggest you actually try it out first. I'm type O and it absolutely makes a difference in my overall health to cut out wheat, dairy, caffeine, and alcohol and to include meat in my diet. When I was vegan for a year in my 20's my health deteriorated rapidly. I developed Celiac disease and my body couldn't hold onto any nutrients, even after cutting out wheat. It was only when I dropped the dogmatic vegan mentality and reintroduced meat that my body started to heal. I'm responsible and mindful about meat consumption now. I go for grass raised, wild caught and organic meats and I only consume meat in small portions 2-3 times/week. When it comes to the blood type diet, don't knock it 'til you try it.
A new study from scientists at Harvard University backs up previous research suggesting that the coronavirus behind COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, is particularly drawn to blood type A over blood type O. Jul 10, 2023
Blood type diet is worth further search. I went from suffering to healthy using type A advice. I reintroduced the prohibited foods one by one and all my old symptoms returned. I could isolate the symptoms and the food cause.
After years of taking a statin drug, exercising, and eating what is promoted as a healthy diet, I was diagnosed as prediabetic with a HgA1C of 6.0. Going to a naturalist doctor, I stopped taking the statin drug and followed a keto diet. My blood sugars came under control but my cholesterol went up to over 325. I tried low sat fat diet but was consuming low fat milk, whey, and cauliflower. I was also fasting. After starting the type O diet and stopped fasting (I drink a plant based protein drink before going to bed and within half hour upon arising in the morning), my cholesterol dropped to 250. My blood pressure is no longer borderline high either. I rarely check my blood sugar because HgA1C was down to 5.6 and spot checks are in normal range. I am also back to endurance running which I haven't been able to do for about two years. This is like a miracle for me due to inherited hyperlipidemia. I have hopes that my cholesterol will continue to drop as my body heals. I am a firm believer in the blood type diet because it is the only thing that has worked for me.
Blood type diet worked amazing for me. I have Celiac Disease. My sister and I read it and instantly knew that our older sister and our father were blood type A from their personalities.
I have been following the blood type diet more or less most of my life. I am very healthy and already in my 60’s. I am more strict now then ever to following this diet and just try to eat the foods that are listed as most beneficial. This has helped me to stay healthy and away from doctors where my peers suffer with multiple ailments and are on medications of all kinds. So yes this diet makes lot of sense and many health professionals have acknowledged that.
Test the blood type diet by noticing what foods kids won't eat or don't like and compare it to their blood type food aviod list, you might be surprised at what you find out!
Blood type worked for me I’m AB, I do better on sweet potatoes rather than regular, my mom is A, and she’s the opposite. In fact to test out the personality aspect, as curious as I was, I purposely tried to guess my blood type based on it before actually going to get tested, and I was right. Observing the people around me and what foods work for them seem to resonate to what it says too. Especially for blood type B people.
I tried the blood type diet, but as an O+ I am destined to eat keto basically anyways. As my husband & I have different blood types, I found it challenging to cook for both of us, but we did both feel amazing on it for the time we were. That said I am having great success with IF & healthy keto, I have lost 73lbs so far, & feel great. We both love it, are rarely hungry, have no cravings, sleep way better, have way more energy and endurance, so happy I found these videos, and Dr Ekbergs videos as well. Love how Dr Berg keeps it short and sweet, and to the point though.
What's so interesting is that I'm an O blood type and according to your body type quiz I'm an Adrenal body type. Both types suggest a high protein diet so that are not that far off from each order.
According to Blood Type Diet I’m supposed to be vegetarian, but my health has improved dramatically (lost over 💯 and no more meds) I eat Carnivorish/Ketovore since 2006
@@BrittBerryStrawberrySame here. Blood type diet has very little scientific research behind it. My blood type is. A+ and it suggests I be a vegetarian. I started eating red meat and went Keto and lost 27 Lbs and feel great.
Wow, who knows what to believe? I switched to the blood type diet to try and eliminate by acid reflux. I am type A blood type. I eliminated all red meat, all shellfish, all pork. I eat some vegan meals, but mostly still eat chicken or fish with meals. Results: I went from 150 pounds (5’8” Male, age 67) to 133 pounds. My body fat dropped from 17% to 12%. Acid reflux better but not perfect. I probably only achieve about 80% of the diet, but I have not had red meat now for 7 months. I had to cut out a lot of my favorite foods doing this diet. I will also have to say that I went from taking two prescribed PPI (proton pump inhibitors) and 16 gaviscon tablets a day, that were no longer helping my GERD. To now taking no PPIs or OTC acid reducers etc…
I actually lost more on the blood type diet than I have ever lost on keto. I do combine Int. Fasting with blood type diet and for some reason it works better for me.
@anonymous download the blood type diet app for food list. And check out other lifestyle factors through the website info loads of free knowledge . Think of this as a holistic lifestyle makeover, over a couple of years rather than trying to just cut out your main allergic foods all of a sudden. It will be more successful.
For Some reason it works better for you? What blood type are you? Are you a Secretor or non-Secretor? Did you favor BTD or the Keto ? What type food were you raised on? What latitude do or did you live at when doing the two diet? Did you do IF with Keto as well as BTD? The Biology of Belief can be a factor. Genetically some people are noted as being more prone to the Placebo Effect. A lot matters to elimination of processed foods, Seed Oil, High glycemic foods, and plant food toxins. Actually there are many more factors people have never considered. Consider the work of Jack Kruse MD.
Since I started to eat food for my blood type few months ago (mostly), I noticed how redness of my face gone (I use to have it especially after meals, like discoloration and redness, looked ugly). And, I feel much better and less bloated.. Also, I went to check food allergies from my blood sample and it's pretty much the same as per my blood type 0+. Avoid pork, yellow cheese, bread (I eat now only whole grain wheat and spelt bread). I eat a lot of carrots and walnuts and I feel great. I also saw a video of a woman where she said she tried blood type diet and her fertility issues went away. I think there is something about that diet.
It really works for me I am type A and I hate meat, love fish, mushrooms really upset me as well as chickpeas and Lima beans. I love coffee and green tea. Also I love yoga. When I read the book and it described the diet I felt it really described me and I felt that this diet was the right diet for me. Also cheese gives me heart burn. Just because there is no research it doesn’t mean anything. The author says his father and him treated thousands of people who saw great benefit. I feel more energetic on this diet, less bloated and just happier. Maybe it works for some people, I personally love it.
I agree because GOD KNOWS I luv dairy but it don't love me! I did keto and lost a TON of weight but it didn't last long...... AND I didn't fall back into cramming carbs!! I'm gonna do the blood type diet now because it describes my food tolerances to the T.
My energy levels are alot lower if I don't have meat every now and then. I'm type A. But I think our bodies do need some carbohydrates for the brain to function properly and to prevent your muscles being broken down into glucose.
A new study from scientists at Harvard University backs up previous research suggesting that the coronavirus behind COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, is particularly drawn to blood type A over blood type O. July 10, 2023
As an A-, veggies work for me. Tried keto with tons of meat. Am on 7-day detox. Very low meat. Scrambled egg, lots of veggies, a little oil. Acv too. Have discovered sea moss. By day 6, have lost 6.2 lbs. 1 day is no solids. I'm not starving so myself so I will see if I can do this for 30 days. And gradually add a little more meat. Hoping this also kicks my sugar addiction. So far so good. Also have researched Dr Sebi also who talks about sea moss. I also do 30 min cardio and 10 min strength. Walked 7 miles today. It's nice to have a win.
I disagree with Dr Bergman. My health changed dramatically once I understood which foods I should avoid eating and what kind of exercise I should be doing for my particular blood type. I'd always eaten a predominantly plant-based diet - organic and as natural as possible with lots of strenuous exercise - but when I read and digested ('scuse pun!) Dr P D'adamo's books I then realised what I'd been missing all those years!
I have followed the blood type, and gleaned what I could. I’m certainly beginning to see your way is so much deeper in research and results. My husband is a type ‘O’, and craves meat, while I’m an ‘A’, and crave vegetables. This is where I began my journey to you!
@@IdolEyes84 if you read the book, it is Hunter, settling by a water source, with available fish, & planting grains...all a relative theory of course, but it is logical😀. Luck to you, you can have different proteins, but a lot of similar vegs👍🏼🍀💛
I’m blood type A+ and my most frequent cravings are for fatty dairy (anything creamy, buttery or cheesy), breads, and salt (I eat relatively healthy, but I tend to over-salt when I cook, and have have problems with water retention and bloating). Once in a while I will crave red meat, like a steak or something, but I don’t eat a lot of meats in general, though I do eat eggs with a generous dash of Parmesan daily. I rarely crave sweet stuff, and if it happens it’s usually during my period, and it’s always the same craving, either ice cream/frozen-yogurt, or some creamy pastry like cream puffs or a creme/custard filled donut. I’ve never craved vegetables, though I do eat a good amount of veges daily, especially red veges like tomatoes and red bell peppers. I read abit on the blood type diet, and a lot of the foods that I eat daily and feel great on are on the ‘don’t’ list (like tomatoes for instance) for type A, so I don’t buy it one bit. I feel it makes more sense to go by body type…I am most probably an Adrenal + Ovary type combo.
@@fatoumfatoumeh Bloating is perhaps because of dairy products. For example, partisan is one of your “don’t”s. The same should be said about all sorts of pepper.
When I worked with hundreds of people across a week, I could pick if someone is a BG O or A just by looking at them. So I realised there's something to it, even if the formal science hasn't caught up yet. I tell all my clients that the science of the BG eating is not complete (like a lot of our understanding about our bodies and Nature) but it's going in the right direction. I often put them on their BG diet to start reducing inflammation while we await the results of pathology and naturopath testing from which we can then personalise their diet. 🧐💪
Breast milk isn't the direct reason why babies are in a state of ketosis, it's the natural surge of growth hormone among others that are. Breast milk from a healthy mother gives the baby all the nutrients and energy it needs for natural, healthy growth and bodily functions in the baby's early months, which naturally gets adjusted with time in terms of nutrient ratios. Breast milk is also the most compatible food with the beneficial bacteria the baby gains in its early days, because both bacteria and food come from the same "source".
Aw Snap, you contradicted your opening statement and provided reasons why breastmilk is the direct reason. The opposite would be that baby formula, which is powdered low fat milk, powdered sugar, powdered anti-caking agents and "fortified" with powdered nutrients will cause insulin resistance. Love this info.
I would like to add that the blood type diet has long evolved to the genotype diet with his later book (Change your Genetic Destiny). It's not a different marketing shot, we still find a strong influence from blood types behind it but he adds biometric traits, biochemical traits, stress profile, etc. There's is six génotypes and it is pretty much correlated with Dr Berg body types but I found the D'Adamo version more accurate, especially with his individualized program Swami XP 2
My Mom gave me the book when I was 35, I was basically already on the diet, not a lot to change, but the changes I did, took a long time to assimilate😣. Raw foods & red meat are not that good for A blood types. I consume a few raw veg., mostly stir fried or steamed, & am now eating some fruits😀. Chicken, turkey, salmon, cod, trout are my meat staples. Any Over Processed Foods are toxic for A, including GMO, MSG, "modified", "enriched" . I am now attempting to do only two meals a day, & will try longer fasts. I now, thanks to dr. Eric, do believe we were not meant to eat 3 meals a day. Luck to you all, diet change is difficult🍀🙏🏼😃👍🏼
I do think as a type A, that stomach issues are because we lack certain enzymes to process certain foods, ive had because of cultural traditions..but learning to go more plant-based ..did that year and half and it brought down cholesterol and blood sugar a1c..whew..and now incorporating chicken has really been healing.. i think theres some science to the blood type thing.this is all very interesting
A new study from scientists at Harvard University backs up previous research suggesting that the coronavirus behind COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, is particularly drawn to blood type A over blood type O. Jul 10, 2023
I am AB blood type, and I feel so much better when I eat a lot of vegetables and fats, pass 4 days I’ve eaten guacamole for lunch with low carb chips. I feel amazing. Thank you for this info, our beloved 👨⚕️❤️
I've only just found you and am grateful, as hubby has struggled for decades. Everyone thinks he's a beer drinker because of his tummy - but he only drinks a glass of wine or champagne at Christmas and / or birthdays, and that's about it. We both work full-time and have 3 kids - busy life. I am exhausted when it comes to meal preparation, though I'm a decent cook. And that's the issue. I actually did the food combining diet decades ago (for health reasons) and looked fabulous until hubby (then fiance) returned from 6 months interstate and thought I looked great, but hated the diet. Then I found the Blood Group Diet (again for health reasons like migraines and hay fever) and I'm type A and he's type O. It turns out that the foods recommended made us both feel amazing... except I was always cooking 2 x meals and I just can't! It's exhausting! Then we got very ill in a contaminated home and I found the Body Ecology Diet (again for health) and it said to do (of all things) both the Food Combining and Blood Group Diets, and in addition to that, there was lots of stuff about fermentation. That diet (bits of it - I couldn't do it all) kept me alive long enough to escape the contaminated home alive, with my hubby and 3 kids. Only one pet survived that house. We've done the 17 Day Diet a few times and I always lose weight successfully but hubby relies on me to control everything, including cooking. The kids won't eat that stuff, so again I'm back to cooking 2 x meals per night, and it's just not sustainable. So I'm really interested in something a whole family can do where I can keep us all healthy without cooking multiple meals! It's not that I can't maintain a diet - I can if I'm not overwhelmed with cooking the second I step inside the front door, where that cooking goes on for ages due to multiple meals! So something family friendly would be GREAT! Luckily my kids are nearly all teens now, so they're not fussy like really little ones. However, they all have their different tastes. One hates meat but will eat chicken if push comes to shove. The other hates meat except for beef. The other likes meat. One likes my salad with home-made salad dressing (olive oil, apple cider vinegar, crushed garlic clove, bit of wholegrain or brown mustard, whisked). The other hates salad dressing. The other doesn't like salad. It drives me crazy. Then pizza becomes an option again.
I was on the blood type diet for a while. I lost weight on it. I am type O and so was eating low carb. the only grain I was eating was rice. so it makes sense that I was losing weight because I seem to do better on low carb. since most in north america are type O it makes sense that most people that tried the diet would lose weight and the book would do well since most would be eating low carb being type O.
so eat more protein and less fat perhaps. I am sure there is an adjustment period. I am trying to adjust to the high fat, not used to it and its giving me the runs bad, so I am lowering the fat until I can get used to it. plus everyone is different. find what works for YOU. listen to your body. after a day or so I started to want more fat and less protein, but because of poops I am having to cut back.
I do not do any coffees or anything like a lot of keto'ers do because it sends me straight to the bathroom. as for no where in nature finding mostly fat...take a look at bacon: There are 27 calories in 1 thin slice of Bacon. Calorie breakdown: 71% fat, 1% carbs, 28% protein. this is very much the keto food.
Had itching, rashes and stuffed up nose. Tested for over 50 foods allergies which all came back negative. My doctor recommended the blood type diet and within 3 days all rashes and stuffiness gone. No longer itch and it is nice to be able to breath easily. I am a believer of the blood type diet.
Sorry, Dr. Berg, but I absolutely disagree with your comments regarding Blood Type Diet. I'm a type O' and the book nailed by every one of the symptoms listed, which hooked me. I have followed the diet, and the recommendations have significantly changed how I feel, look, and perform at the gym.
I remember that book. I followed the advice and was better for it, but I doubt it was because of my blood type...it was because I stopped eating junk and ate so much healthier food.
Right away I didn't like this video because he says there is no way our blood type can affect our personality/mood. That is a very bold statement with no evidence... We know so little about the human body and things we once thought were facts we find out aren't true many years later... I don't agree that it is just because they are eating healthier. I know some ppl who are great on a vegan diet and others who are withering away. Myself I am prone to anemia, I tried going vegetarian once and was so exhausted and sickly. I read this book and now eat lots of meat plus take iron when needed, eat no wheat and lots of veg, and feel a lot better. Remember Doctor, you don't know everything and you could be wrong. It's always better to say I don't know or don't think instead of can't.
Thank you so much for being TRUSTWORTHY and spreading free, genuinely HELPFUL information! You have made such a huge impact on the world with your videos, you can’t even imagine!
I like your work Dr. Berg... but please note that the Blood Type is very well researched! Makes a lot of sense and answers many questions, such as "why do generalised diets not work the same for everyone ?"
I'm blood type B, I am sensitive to gluten, soy and nuts. LOL. I hate tomato, I crave for lamb, salmon, mackerel. I find chicken so boring. I love love love leafy green vegetables, I think about it all the time. All these are preety much in line with Dr. D'Adamo blood type diet. I have been ignorig tt for years. I feel like I need to start this again!
After reading the blood type book, 15 years ago, I decided to try the Atkins diet. Since I am type O this book convinced me that I needed to eat more meat. Little did I know that I had a sluggish liver and this was the beginning of all of my health issues and weight issues. I personally would recommend people to pay attention to your body shape and how you feel like Dr Berg says. Focus on your health and your weight will reflect this.
The blood type diet is brilliant and saved my life. The O foods digest best for me and make me feel strong, and eliminated many food allergies over time. I became adept at guessing blood types from personality, even the skeptics, so that part is obviously true.Don't be so envious!
You’re criticizing a book that first came out over 18 years ago. Nutritional research and knowledge has come a long way since then. If we look at your first book, you missed on a lot...and you’ve updated it based on current knowledge and research.
I would say personality and diet are connected. So blood-type even blood levels do factor in on the diet side. how your body and mind reacts and feels does affect your moods which are an aspect of your personality. So I can see an indirect link.
Actually the blood type diet help me drop 28 pounds. I'm O positive and once I dropped white flour and alot of cheese. I have gotten many compliments that I look 40 and not 54😀
I was a patient of that doctor. - He charged me a lot. - He was attacked to take away his license so retired! But he gave me an IV vitamin drip, which I felt energized from without side effects, so that was a good revelation!
The blood type diet is the result of 60 years of research by both Peter D' Adamo and his Father based primarily on the way the blood is affected by different foods." One man's food is another man's poison" is very true. That is why there are different blood types and why there are so many diets. Dr Berg I love your work but please don't discredit The blood type diet.
Dr. Berg didn't discredit it, the blood type diet has been debunked since 2013 and Dr. Berg is just reiterating said results. They found that people with both blood types A and O saw great results from the same vegan diet. Studies also showed that multiple people lost weight via the Blood type A diet despite many of them not being blood type A. Turns out that eating healthy foods is the best way of health, doesn't have anything to do with blood type buddy
Russell Marshall I have to agree with you here! I am am A Positive Blood Type and I was already eating most of the foods in my younger years before I bought the book years ago. I still think about it and eat some of those foods incorporate it in small amounts in my keto diet. I do love you Dr Berg even though I disagree with you a bit on this one. 🤷🏻♀️🥰
The blood type diet has worked amazingly well for me and my family. Increased energy, a lot less asthma symptoms, fatigue gone, plus I lost 30 lbs without even trying. I love your videos, but I disagree with you on this one. We are living proof!
Dr. Berg, I really enjoy your videos and find that they could have a major impact on public health, but after watching the video you barely covered the book. Did you read the book, because it has a number of citations in the back and as well as reading the appendix? The diets types are based on how lectins impact the health of each blood type. The book is basically a meta-analysis of his research and his father's. You do a great job of linking physiology with diet which is important to know.
I strongly disagree with Dr Berg on this subject . When I read this book, I had personally experienced problems with the foods it says I should avoid. I'm type O+, and citrus would give me hemorrhoids. Lactose makes me constipated and increases my phlegm, etc. All foods he said I shouldn't eat had always given me problems. Also, Type O+ blood is more acidic, and those foods to avoid increase acidity. The authors testing was from his own observations with his patients. His book changed my life. Dr Berg is too critical of this book. But, otherwise, l follow Dr Berg's advice.
I’m sorry Dr. Berg but I’m going to have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. I’m a big fan of yours but I can personally attest to this diet. I had gut problems for a decade with every specialist known shoving cameras in at both ends trying to find what was wrong. Truth is they were never going to find the cause. The problem with the small Intestine is that the cameras the specialists shove up your bum and down your throat don’t meet in the middle, and the small intestine gets missed. Here’s the thing….I was eating healthy food, just not the RIGHT healthy food. It didn’t matter what I ate or when I ate it I was always in pain. It got to the point that I wouldn’t eat for days and me being a carpenter I needed to eat to have energy for my physical job. Days later I’d finally surcumb to my hunger and BANG, I’d be in pain again! This pattern of eating went on for a decade. In desperation I contacted a friend who gave me the name of a naturapath. After a 45 minute chat on the phone he sent me to have a “Live Blood Analysis”. I went see him straight after those tests were done. What those tests reveals was vast, and not good…..but fixable! He immediately put me on the Blood group Diet. (AB+) I came home that day and commenced it at about 2pm that afternoon. By the next morning the pain in my gut was gone…… F#$*&ing GONE!! It sounds like a big deal but its not. All it meant was that I could eat turkey but not chicken, lamb but no beef, kalamata olives but no green olives…….you get the picture! I spent the next 12 months repairing the damage. This was all happening in 2004 and I pretty much stick to this diet now, but at least I know what foods set me off, so if I do want to eat something that’s not on my list, I know I can just have a little bit without sending my gizzards into to spasm! To this day I have never experienced pain or discomfort like that. It’s kinda like the A-Team Diet. “If you have problem, and no one else can help, maybe you should try the BLOOD GROUP DIET “ (cue gunfire and music) LOL My suggestion is try the Blood Group DIET first!! Chances are you’ll be pain free (at least) in a day or 2. Then comes the repair! People who dismiss the thought of having to give up certain foods need to ask themselves one question. What are you willing to do to fix your health, and if you DON'T answer with an emphatic "WHATEVER IT TAKES", then clearly you haven't hit rock bottom, you're not sick enough. People will find their own level eventually, it's just with some, it takes a bit longer. Remember that good health isn't linear! Good Luck
You'll appreciate this: A new study from scientists at Harvard University backs up previous research suggesting that the coronavirus behind COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, is particularly drawn to blood type A over blood type O. July 10, 2023 And yes, I know someone who gave up chicken breast and vodka and his bloating was GONE in a day. He's great with turkey instead! 👏🌞👏🌞👏🌞🙏
I bought the blood type book not because it gave me great results, but because I was desperate to find a solution besides starvation. Thank you, Dr. Berg!
Have add to the conversation....I have always leaned towards more plant based, eating only minimal meat products. Recently with all the hype of Keto/Paleo, I decided to try it consistently for 3 months...., SO much intestinal issues as I don't think I can digest the meat very well. I do not enjoy meat! Kind of makes me gag! So, just yesterday I decided to go back to whole foods plant based....it works for me and I am blood type A+. The relief is huge....no more following media hype!
I am also A + and wondering if i want to follow the Blood Type Diet. Honestly it wouldn't be a big stretch for me because pork grosses me out, i eat very little red meat, and i only want to eat chicken or turkey maximum once a day.
Being a blood type A+ and following the diet, I gained 15 pounds. All the grains, I’m supposing! Now I’ve been on Keto for 3 months - lost weight, no grains! Wondering about red meat, I do love it! Is the blood type dit a fad, from your educated point of view! Truly enjoy and appreciate your channel!
I’m the same blood type. Being on the keto diet, what are your macros like? I’ve been looking for the best way to lower bodyfat and reduce inflammation.
Thanks again Dr. Berg, you rock! I am just learning why I am the way I am with type O- blood, I eat almost exactly the Paleo Diet, I just eat whatever my body is craving (when I am hungry, NOT snacking) and it's getting healthier every day thanks to you and your desire to share your very valuable knowledge and hard work making health educational videos, if you believe in a creator, then take this to heart, God Bless You! your helping more people than you know.
I have been eating everything healthy for 50 years but lately only realised I can only consume Pescetarianism diets. Past years, I have very poor digestive system and keep putting on weight even though I have small appetite. It is only after changing to Pescetarianism diets then I started to feel light and also started loosing weight. Feel kind of strange only by changing what you eat. By the way, I'm blood type A.
Totally agree ..the intersting thing that indicated for me on blood type was being an O my body LOVES working out hard/vigorous & I do very well on meat...beyond that...but yes body types & keto make total sense I'm loving it :) thanks!
Three out of three of my exercise-monster friends are type O. Not proof of anything, but an interesting anecdote. As a B+, I didn't have close to the energy, muscle building capabilities of these guys. Not even close. Also, I love dairy, as does my other B+ friend. My type O friends almost all avoid it. I wonder what the blood types are of professional athletes.
Me A and should do more meditation instead of aerobic exercise... No wonder I always run so slow and I get emo easily and that could mess up my hormone, so I really agree that I need meditation.

To your point about genetic difference, one complication is the effect of epigenetics. Epigenetics is huge, but not promoted to the level it should be. I'm not versed in the data, but if research shows what you say it does, I'd agree it is due to genetic and epigenetic differences.
Dr . Berg I really love all your videos and appreciate all the content you share with us . I send all your videos to my clients but I will have to disagree with your opinion on the blood type . I'm a very healthy person and I only eat whole foods for so many years . I as dealing with alot of bloating . Severe bloating that wouldn't go away . As soon as I cut out the veggies that I wasn't supposed to eat for my blood type the bloating immediately went away and I gained so much energy back it was incredible . I documented everything and then shared it with everyone . Within just one month 24 women that were having the same issue as me followed the blood type and the same thing happend . Bloating completely gone and energy came back ! So how do you explain that?
The eating for blood type information is very interesting. Something I’m going to look into more. I don’t see why a persons blood type isn’t relevant to their diet. Our blood type must have an impact. It’s maybe the reason some people do well on certain diets and some people do not. I don’t think there is a one size fits all approach that works for everyone. And maybe it’s because of our differences in blood type. Thanks for bringing this to my attention Dr Berg!
I had fantastic results with the blood type diet. Since you have an opinion on the blood type diet, I have a question for you: have you ever tried the blood type diet?
Videos suggestions: 1) How your healthy keto diet and IF can help to reduce bad cholesterol for someone with high cholesterol. 2) If someone wants to combine blood body type O diet with Keto diet and IF, what that person should eat? 3) What to eat to detox while doing keto diet and IF, if possible? 4) If someone has a petite body type... how would you adapt your suggestions on how much vegetables/proteins/fat to eat daily doing your keto and IF diet?

I am type B ...I bought the book , followed it and it worked very well for me! He followed the groundwork of his father. I highly recommend it because it offers excellent insight.
I would like to know abut sleep, the benefits of getting to bed earlier, the ways you can stay asleep, napping, how do you know if you are getting enough, and overall everything about sleep.
I do both blood and keto. But I am type O. I "Think" blood type diet is based more on stomach acid levels and how hard it is for the body to break down or cause inflammation due to certain foods. Yes less processed and less sugar is good all around. Keep trying to get healthy people food is fuel and medicines.
I'm type O years ago I was on a vegan diet along with taking B12. I never had enough energy. I ate a variety of fruits and vegetables now that I'm basically keto. I feel great.
Thank you I'm Blood type B+ I stay away from chicken mostly because of my blood type and I simple no longer have the taste for chicken. I do Love Kefir and cheese as well as goat meat and turkey I also stop eating tomatoes back in 2013 when I first started my research on blood types
I love you DR Berg , I’ve tried Keto it worked for a while but still bloating. The blood type is working for me , no bloating sleeping much better than ever before, and tummy is shrinking , some of the things I loved to eat was poison for me ☹️, gave those up ,eat what I didn’t eat before life is better. 23.08.24.
I am 52 years old 190lbs with clothes on soak and wet. Have never weighed anymore than 190 thus far. Eat maybe once a day, no exercise, go to my doctor on the regular. All tests results comes back fine/normal. White/Red blood cells a tad low, vitamin D a tad low but I know how to get those back to normal. Much praise to Dr Berg
There WAS clinical studies done on the Blood Type diet. And it's well proven that personality are affected by blood type. I have done very well on the Blood Type Diet. I didn't like how he ridiculed a very good diet!
The Doc is right! THE BLOOD TYPE diet did not work for me. It must be the change of diet and simply living healthier that people are equating "weight loss" to. I tried plant/vegan eating and I felt so dissatisfied. I was hungry all the time and felt like most people do when restricting themselves too much and then they end up going right back to old habits. THAT WAS ME. Now that I am on keto and will continue with Dr. Berg to find out more about how to eat for my body type which MAKES SENSE. I know I will get the maximum results with researching for my body type. I think pairing the both will be great. I am much MUCH more satisfied on keto. I am so happy for you DR. BERG!!!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING THESE VIDEOS AND PLEASE CONTINUE. I am living my best life doing it the right way now!
It is however interesting to note that Japanese companies, for decades now, have been using blood types as a component of their hiring decisions to determine the personality traits of a candidate. At any rate, the good thing with diet is that you do not need to wait on research or rely on expert opinions. You can do your own experiment of one for a few months and decide for yourself. I did that many years ago: this dietary approach works, it simply works... A quick glance at the book comments on Amazon will tell you that it has worked for most people over the years.
Dr Berg “Eating for your Blood Type” works. It worked for me. Please read through the many reviews below and see that it also worked for many of the people that commented.
Even mosquitoes will tell you they enjoy blood group O more than any other blood group so theres something real about the blood group diet dont trash it.
Dr. Berg, i realky don't care much about the proof of blood type diet. !!!! Because i tested so many years on me and my family !!!! It really, really WORKS. !!!! Needless to say that we really eat healthy foods, but if my daughter (blood A) eats meat and stuff, we see the difference right away... We have three different blood types in the house,(Yes it is possible with reconstituted families)and i can tell you with absolute certainty that Peter d'Adamo is way ahead of its time. I appreciate a lot the work that you do, BUT, i would never ever change the blood and genotype diet for me and my loved ones !!!
Stumbled on this on ticktock last night. The video maker was literally selling the food list. I said nah, let me get a book w full details. Just purchased a good book. Cannot wait for it to arrive. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He says in the book him and his father have decades of research between them isolating proteins of foods and mixing with different blood ? If have to read it again. but beyond that the early humane migration and evolution of blood from different environments and foods makes a lot of sense. Some people’s ancestors slowly evolved to better assimilate different foods. And I think with this evolution and lineage in mind, it could definitely shape people’s personalitys based on their blood type (lineage , ancestry )
For me, O+, the blood type diet was amazing for health. Weight, not so much. When i went keto, the only thing i needed to eliminate was rice! Lost 20 lbs.
I Love Dr. Eric Berg's sarcastic sass. He sure knows his stuff. I've been following his videos for a couple months now have seen a drastic change in my health and diet following his guidelines. Thank you!
Your cursory review of Dr. D'Adamo's work was disappointing. There is significant research to support the work that started with his father. In fact a serious consideration of blood type would enhance your theory and those of many other alternative and natural health practitioners. I challenge you to do the research, to include talking with the author, on blood type. I have followed and respected your work. Now I question you! Get it together!
Gale Grant I agree!! I never get sick when I follow blood-type diet. I follow keto and blood type now and have lost 25 pounds. But I gain if I go off blood type and eat dairy., which is against my blood (organic, grass fed or not) As well as eating avacado) I also use geno type information for my diet and health. Very valuable information in blood-type and geno type, it should not be discounted.
Why hasn't he turned in the research he promised years ago that he was going to produce? People who debunk him discredit him and his lack of keeping his promise to turn in the research to prove what he says is true. I stop using the diet when I heard that. I just listen to my body and see how it responds to food.
Dr. Berg states that breast fed babies are operating on ketones in this video but doesn't elaborate. From my experience as a mother who's milk was very sweet ( I didn't eat sweets so any amount of sweetness in veggies or whatever tasted very sweet) I always thought babies ran on glucose. I remember thinking "no wonder most of humanity has such a sweet-tooth". So please Dr. Berg explain how babies run on ketones & yet the mother's milk is very sweet.
I can see the link between bloodtypes having certain dietary needs, and how certain foods affect mood, and therefore, your personality. I wanna learn more about different types of cancer, tumors and the hormones they give off, specifically the pituitary tumor and how it contributes to hormonal Imbalance... The link between Arcromegly and bone growth, and how to Manipulate the cell cycle 😜
I agree I think it's better for how you feel and inflammatory or food Intolerance more than weight loss reason.
Type O is the most common blood type, so naturally Type O will have more examples of Celiac and other issues
I am blood type A+ and I'm Dairy intolerant
@@Mraymankarate you're one person. there is no "hard and fast" rule.

I agree!

The doctor that wrote the blood type diet saved many people. It helped me.
Absolutely!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌞

Hello
Is your father B or AB?

This is "Dr. Berg." NOT Dr. Bergman."

I have followed the blood type, and gleaned what I could. I’m certainly beginning to see your way is so much deeper in research and results. My husband is a type ‘O’, and craves meat, while I’m an ‘A’, and crave vegetables. This is where I began my journey to you!
I'm the same. Wasn't sure if it was male (Hunter) vs female (Gatherer)?
@@IdolEyes84 if you read the book, it is Hunter, settling by a water source, with available fish, & planting grains...all a relative theory of course, but it is logical😀. Luck to you, you can have different proteins, but a lot of similar vegs👍🏼🍀💛
@@nodigBKMiche Thank you
I’m blood type A+ and my most frequent cravings are for fatty dairy (anything creamy, buttery or cheesy), breads, and salt (I eat relatively healthy, but I tend to over-salt when I cook, and have have problems with water retention and bloating).

Bloating is perhaps because of dairy products.
Hi Leela, do you give consultations as a naturopathy doctor? I need one..
I want to try that. :)

Wow, impressive all that you have done for your family! Will try your salad dressing!
this is the second dr that say this blood type diet is bunk but the comments say otherwise wow
I've lost 17lbs in 7 weeks following the Blood type diet and have so much more energy!!
I cannot eat dairy of any kind and am starting to wonder if bacon is a no-no for me as well. I also thrive on red meat and fatty fish :)
I do not do any coffees or anything like a lot of keto'ers do because it sends me straight to the bathroom. as for no where in nature finding mostly fat...take a look at bacon: There are 27 calories in 1 thin slice of Bacon.
Calorie breakdown: 71% fat, 1% carbs, 28% protein.
this is very much the keto food.
hehe yeah people love their coffee, I just do not drink it, makes me have insomnia or burns my tummy. eat the food that makes you feel good!
DianddraD why was? If it was working why did you stop it?
Interesting. I’m type O too. What were your symptoms
The book says type O does better with meat because of our stronger hydro caloric acid, he doesn’t suggest eating more. It’s still about the lectins.
Luneth Gardens agreed.
Luneth Gardens people asked about this. Not that he wanted to bring it up.
Exactly
I would say personality and diet are connected. So blood-type even blood levels do factor in on the diet side. how your body and mind reacts and feels does affect your moods which are an aspect of your personality. So I can see an indirect link.
Actually the blood type diet help me drop 28 pounds. I'm O positive and once I dropped white flour and alot of cheese. I have gotten many compliments that I look 40 and not 54😀
thats not blood type diet, that is just plainly leaving white flour out, which is bad for anyone regardless of blood type

I was a patient of that doctor. - He charged me a lot. - He was attacked to take away his license so retired! But he gave me an IV vitamin drip, which I felt energized from without side effects, so that was a good revelation!
Good to know. I been thinking about trying that.
he was attacked because he was a truth teller
@@luccabetta5238 thanks for your comment.
@SunnyRae Star thanks for your comment.

“If you have problem, and no one else can help, maybe you should try the BLOOD GROUP DIET “
(cue gunfire and music)
LOL
My suggestion is try the Blood Group DIET first!!
Good Luck

Eliminating foods on the avoid list is even more important than exclusively eating the beneficial foods.
I had fantastic results with the blood type diet. Since you have an opinion on the blood type diet, I have a question for you: have you ever tried the blood type diet?

Dr. Berg,
Have you/would you do a video on the best vitamins/nutrients to take when dealing with prolonged stress? Thanks!

Why hasn't he turned in the research he promised years ago that he was going to produce? People who debunk him discredit him and his lack of keeping his promise to turn in the research to prove what he says is true. I stop using the diet when I heard that.
