    Scarborough on the southerly. Head down to Margate for the westerly. And Clontarf through woody and Hays for the northerly.
    Any wind anytime. We are bloody lucky living here

      You haven't really spoke much about the floating baits you mentioned. So I take it the weight of the lure/floater makes the cast go further. Cause if I have no weight I can't cast where I want. If that makes sense.

    Beautiful morning in Redcliffe today. Hopefully it sticks. Keen to get into the squid when the water clears up. Haven't done it before, you should do some more videos on squidding when the water clears. Cheers

    Good to see you back on YT again Wayne. Your videos are by far the most practical and informative on the net. Lots of rain and weather around the Peninsula lately. Was happy to get out this morning to exactly where you shot this video. Regarding the rock wall particularly near the canal entrance and platform at Newport, do you have any tips to avoid snags when fishing with bait and sinker? I've caught some decent fish there but have also lost a bit of gear at the same time. Does it just come with the turf or is there something I can do to limit the losses like a fast retrieve or using a long rod to steer the rig off the rocks?

    Great video mate. Really appreciate the information. I have been able to fish around Redcliffe with great results and Scotts point have been my favourite. Im just waiting for you to make video about snapper fishing around Redcliffe for this winter which would be really helpful. You’re the legend mate

      Glad you liked it. Snapper are a real target species during the cooler months both boat and land based. Need to be prepared to fish in the cold and in the dark. The squid season stirs them up.

    When you say in the other side of Shield Street reef, do you mean on the north side or on the eastern aide on the outer reef?

    G'day Wayne. Long time no see. I'm partway through putting together a twin cab ute so I can get on the road again. I'll have to have a fish before I leave BrisVegas.

    • @Wayne.Groomes.Fishing

      What sort of Ute?

    • @BradGryphonn
      @BradGryphonn 2 роки тому

      @@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing It's a '205 Ford Courier Crew cab. It's got the V6 4.0l in it. Only a 2WD but it is the hi-lift model, so it sits as high as a 4WD. I've heard they can be converted but it would be cheaper to buy another real 4WD I think. I got it at a decent price so have replaced most of the seals and gaskets and the thermostat housing and water pump etc. I'll do the steering stuff (tie-rod ends) once the motor is all done. I'm swapping out the old pulley-driven radiator fan for a twin-electric setup. Then it's setting up the back with tools and water etc. and a bed. It's coming along. I want to make sure it's reliable and I know the thing before I go out bush.

    Hi mate , need some advice. I am from Sydney , will visit Brisbane for a week by end of Dec . I am looking for a flathead, Bream landbased spot and suites for 9 years boy. I am not asking for your secret spot , just general spot for my friend’s 9 yr old son who loves fishing . He have plenty of fishing gear , but never gets any legal sized fish in Brisbane 😂 Hope can make this little boy Christmas surprise and hook up a nice fish . Much appreciate. Thank in advance.

      Hays inlet, Scott’s point, both on the Redcliffe peninsula north of Brisbane are reasonable falling tide to about an hour after the run in begins. Fresh bait is best however 1/4 oz jig with a 3 inch Zman grub will work out fine.
