With that title the expectations were high. I was very disappointed. Quite normal, ordinary and tame. After the Residents, I don't know if anyone can make music that dark, unnerving, unsettling or outright scary. The first time I heard the Residents was around 1991, late one night on MTV (of all places). They were playing a documentary about the Great Eyeballed Ones. I'd only heard of them and seen their imagery. So a song is played at one point, maybe the Simple Song, or perhaps Kamakazee Lady. I was startled out of my revery, and found myself experiencing genuine fear. It sounded like very serious mental patients had stopped taking their medications, and had been given musical and recording equipment. I was impressed. It had never occured to me that music could create those sorts of internal responses. That these people could create music that could provoke such a reaction really made me sit up and pay attention. Later I began seeking out their music, and became a huge fan. But for anyone to create terrifying music, they have a *VERY* high bar set for them. I don't know if it's possible anymore. The Residents have done it, and if anyone else makes that claim, they had better be prepared to produce. This song is nice, and pleasant compared to much of what the Rez have done.

I have seen worse interviews, with much less interesting music! I am now a fan of Ostrich Von Nipple.
