Me: *bumps my instrument on the wall*
Also me: Ouch
Playing bass this happens a lot lol. Especially after I used my guitar I forget a bass has a significantly longer neck and whenever I even slightly bump it into something I immediately say ouch
Y is nobody making jokes about brett identifying pitch while eddy has perfect pitch
11. Humming the song you're working on, everywhere, everytime.
Yeees and whenever you play a piece ( i play the piano and whenever i was on my classroom when there was a break i was playing the piece again and again and my classmates where like: "Don't you know any other piece? I'm calling the headmaster"
weird things musicians do:
lazy to practice but want to have linglinglike skill
Weird things musicians do:
11. Saying 'ow' when you hit your instrument on something even though you didn't hurt yourself
That's me lol. Whenever i hit my violin i freak out. It's my baby.😘
I apologize to my piano when kids decide to “play” it
Same, when day my cousins came to our house while i was practicing and they just started pressing all the keys BOOM BABOMMJSNJ and when they went back to their homes i was like “sorrry I couldn’t protect you my dearest piano i promise i won’t let them play with you again😔”
@@samaa.wdude that is sooo trueeee
Everytime I try to play something
They try to “play accompaniment” me by smashing the lowest keys 😤
Bonus for singers: rapidly inhaling at every short rest when they listen to someone else singing.
I can literally feel my vocal chords moving along with the music the person is singing...
4. Is my dad.
He identified the note I farted 😂
I almost spit out my coffee one the keyboard because of your comment out of laughter. Don't write stuff like that. It's dangerous. : D
no shit my best friend can tell the 3 notes in a slur that my fart makes
As a violin player, I save all my sheet music, anyone esle do this
Roo Doodles same and I also will use them if I don't need them as spare paper 😂😬
Roo Doodles same
Except I save all my piano sheet music in case I ever want to go back and try to learn it again
Lyla Laycre true although I rarely will give them to people. I only really do it if a I'm write a note for later about orchestra
Bonus for strings: the people who brush their teeth while using their bow hold
Musicians: apologize to instruments
Me: laughs in pianist
Me: *bangs the keys in fortissimo*
Also me: OH MY BABY, I AM SO SORRY. Next time I'll be more gentle with you okie?
Practising finger technique everywhere?
Pft.
Try being a flute player and involuntarily loudly practising double tonguing during a maths exam.
Omg yes 😂😂 or loudly breathing down the flute during orchestra to practice ur part
Topaz Jay I'm a beginner flute and I already do that everywhere. It really annoys my classmates. 😏
I dont even know how to do that lol I've played flute for almost 2 years
Yas, I was in an exam once and started to randomly reevaluate my flutter tonite technique... cue weird purring noises
I thought I was the only one who apologized to my instrument if it got hit😭
They are wonderful and any injury they sustain must be apologised for profusely.
Sometimes when my family is eating at the table I practice the Piano fingering and play on a invisible Piano and they are like
What are you doing?
I practise scales while walking, especially with those grab bars in shopping malls
now the next step is to be like Ling Ling and actually practice piano and eat at the dinner table at the same time
1:24 no one, I repeat, NO ONE, can interrupt the divine emotion of a phrase of Mahler’s music
1:06 Eddy: nobody asked... because I have perfect pitch and already knew that
No one:
Jk Rowling: Violin and Viola had a romantic sexual relationship
Soon shell say the violin cheated on the viola for the bass cause it had a longer... finger board
Weird things musicians do:
Watching insane pieces played in youtube and imagining if it were you who is performing
eddy and brett : compares hand sizes
bae shippers : exhales "my time has come"
It's normal that close friends act gay (football teammates, band members, you and your best friend...). They are not uncomfortable.
*The pitch to daily objects one is so relatable 😂😂*
*Btw the bell at my school is a G*
I had a film melody in college (French system)
Then I had a C major chord 😂
Toilets flush in e flat
Bees buzz in e
I’m pretty sure me snapping my fingers is a b flat
Mine was a C, and I remember I found out in an epic way.
I was in high school band and we were rehearsing a piece that had this grand C major chord at the end, and the moment we stopped the bell rang in tune with us. Such a satisfying moment.
0:40 love how Eddy tries to imitate a non-musician imitating Brett but his fingers have too much experience
Nobody-
Absolutely no one-
People with perfect pitch- *tHaT WaS a C FLaT bY tHe wAY... CoULd yOu tEll*
@@wolfbloodforevermaleficent She can use muggle tech, ya know? She’s a muggle-born. ;)
Karen: i don't love you anymore
eddy: *thats a B*
Speaking of Karens, my best friend named her violin Karen and her bow is named Manager
Now the last one about recycling paper is not weird. That is full on eco-friendly stuff right there!
*REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE BABY!* :D
I know I’m weird because I’m a huge hoarder, so I try to keep my music, even when I don’t need it anymore. I’m really weird
@@SoupyFuck not to feed it, but I have every faith you'll find a purpose for it some day
@@SoupyFuck no me too, and ill pull out something and just play for fun lol
I literally do almost all of those and i also:
1. say ow if i hit my instrument on something
2. refer to my oboe like a human (her name is Maria)
I named my violin Sir Loin. I was 9, but I still should have known better.
THIS IS SO ACCUARD LMAO. Especially the part Judging violin scenes in TV shows. I remember watching a tv show with my friends and then appears a violin scene when the principal character wanted to look cool by playing the violin and I was just like: "Why does he takes the violin in that way? I mean, he is touching the G string but why the backgrounds sounds like a C minor?" And my friends where like: "Okay, so...let us just finish this episode and you can keep explaining you music theory"
I do 8/10 of those things... especially apologizing to my guitar any time I accidentally knock it.
I play harp and whenever I hit it against the doorway (all the time) I apologize to it.
i relate to all of them and i use guitar too (i thought i was alone with these weird stuffs(
Story-time, so basically me and my friend both play the bassoon yeah, and we were having a joint music lesson when she drops her bassoon and it hits the wall, then she says ouch very quietly but that's not even the main part. When she dropped it she broke the wall and since we're the only people who play the bassoon our teacher didn't have her own music room so we just upped and left. And the best part is that the school still hasn't fixed the wall, so one of my other friends was like 'wtf happened to the wall?'
"9. Reading Scores Like A Book, Anywhere"
Me: Hmmmm, interesting...
No one:
Musicians:
Sorry, I can't hang out ever because I have to practice 40 hours a day
I agree with every point except the last one ALL SHEETS ARE VALUABLE do I hoard them yes will I likely end up with an uncontrollable stack of music I’ll never look at again by the time I’ve graduated high school yes
The only sheets I use for taking notes are the ones where I couldn't figure out the copying machine and they are the wrong direction...
You could give them away to some people who want to learn those pieces. That way, you won't have to recycle it.
Also, I don't usually print out sheet music anymore. I just use my iPad in sight reading so there won't be too many sheets of paper.
As a piano player, whenever I get bored and I can't look at my phone, I just pretend to play piano on a desk EVERY DAY
When a person the same age as you have hands that are almost twice the size as yours. I can relate so bad.
Try that with people three years younger than you😂hurts when that happens and they're like 12 and you're 15
2:08
I RELATE SO BADLY
I have small hands + my pinky fingers are actually shorter than they should be, so when I play piano or clarinet, the struggle is *real.*
Wow we play the same instruments (but my hands are big (I'm almost always the largest when comparing hands (I can reach 10ths easily on piano)))!
NobodyBestFriend NBF oh my god you are so lucky, i play piano and i can J U S T stretch ten notes and j u s t press it down, i have trouble playing octaves fast :(
Mini Choi yo I have to shift to get to low one as well as regular third finger it’s honestly embarrassing
@@nobodybestfriendnbf7743 That's awesome!! But I wish I could relate LOL it would make playing both instruments so much easier asdfghjkl
As a percussionist, I can definitely relate to number 2.
1:04 yes no one asked but eddy that's literally what YOU do with your perfect pitch
YES! 10/10, nailed it :D
... wait, this wasn't a quiz?
No it definitely is a quiz. You get validation if you get good grades. That checks out
1:57 I SHIP IT
brett: waves his hands around soaking the music in
eddie: “hello? Is this the local asylum?”
When Brett started profusely apologizing to his violin it made me think of my marching band teacher who says stuff like, "kids will heal, equipment doesn't" and whenever there's a crash fr somewhere he freaks out and it seems like he's gonna go, "are you okay" to the kid who probably dropped the instrument, but no, he's asking the instrument but it's pretty funny tbh
I was cackling at the beginning 😂 I always conduct when I listen to *ANY* kind of music
I fall for number 4 so often... lol
on my way to the exit during a school fire drill I identified the pitch an Ab xD
- The song you practice is stuck in your head
- Quietly humming or softly singing a tune
- Saying ow when you bump your instrument on something
- Drumming beats on a desk or table
- Pretending that you're playing a song when you don't have your instrument
- Finding the time signature and keeping the beat when you listen to a new song
- Playing the percussion part of a song because you can't play anything else
- Extreme frustration when you can't tune your instrument (slipping pegs)
- Noticing all of the background instruments or vocals when listening to a song
Shall I continue
Playing a badass solo with your fingers on the desk bc the song had boring percussion
"Waiting the end of a musical phrase to answer .........."
That is all me !!!!!!!!!!
If I don't have my trombone, I practice using my "imaginary" trombone.
Heey my trombone squads. 😂
This video is so true! Whenever I am outside, I conduct a piece of music that I have heard before, practicing fingering to my pieces everywhere, and even reading scores like a book! When I was at the beach once, I once did "read" the score of the Brahms violin concerto; someone did ask if it was a score of Brahms and I replied yes!
As an ex-pianist, I agree! 😂 Especially to the *fingering the music* part. Used to imagine playing the pieces anywhere. Lol
@@puree6123 my teacher wasn't that good and I wasn't really that interested in playing the piano. Looking back, I should have stuck to it and I might have made a career out of it. 😔
When i was in high school, one of my friends was a pianist. At first I was wondering what he was doing with his fingers and then I just got used to him imagining a piano at any time of the day lol
I feel like I’m being stabbed on my knees 10 times in this video... so relatable
Me: * loves Sherlock *
Also me: why tf would you grab the bow like that?
I thought it was a habit of mine when i always compare my hands to my friends 😆
Oh my goodness😂 I play piano fingering music is really relatanble to me😂 and especially apologizing to my instrument😂 and comparing hand sizes coz sometimes I can't reach the notes
I honestly do all of these except for using sheet music as recycled paper
Yeah. I was having a blast till the end. And then I was like O_O THAT'S SACRILEGE!!@
Identifying the pitch to daily objects is soooo true 😂. My dad's a professional musician, and when I help him with the cleaning we harmonize over the vacuum cleaner 🤣.
I can totally relate to number 10... as a chorister, we were required to print out a lot of (LONG) tutti pieces so that all choirs will be in uniform during the actual concert. The thing is, there are some pieces where we only sing a few bars and the rest is for the other choirs to sing... 😪
Now I know how to spot a classical musician.... #nonmusician
I'm not even a musician but i'm guilty of mostly all of these omg
I’ve done 9 out of the 10 things mentioned in this video. The one thing was reading sheet music like a book, I know my brain is too lazy to work lmao. Awesome video TwoSetViolin!
Ahem, *reading scores*....I hope lingling doesn’t read the comment section.
Number 6 is absolutely me. I got to the front of the line at a coffee shop and had to step out and go to the back because I still had 15 seconds left of the Chopin Piano Concerto I was listening to.
I'D BEEN LISTENING FOR 40 MINUTES I COULDN'T STOP THERE
I swear all of this happens to me at school once I tried to act like playing the violin in the bus and I looked so silly 😂😂😂
I found your channel 5 days ago and have been binge watching every video 😂 so talented and humorous, love it!!! ☺️
I gotta say, I'm not a musician in any real way, but I do most of these myself. Obviously not the ones related to actually playing music, but fake conducting, waiting until the end of a phrase (or song), etc. -- I do all of those. :D
when Brett identified that microwave's note, I thought "Perfect Pitch Gang! now Eddy knows how it feels!"
Omg i do the second one soooo much.
I do the sixth one a lot too.
The seventh one is such a mood because my guitar is my life
Eddy: Nobody asked!
Eddy: My perfect pitch already knew that
The hand sizes!! Nd the apologizing to your instrument!! 👌 also reading scores like a book 😂
As a guitarist that read tabs, I hear melodies and chords in every numerical combination I see, like addresses in houses, phone numbers, bar codes, car's license plate
My friends came by one time and rang the doorbell while I was playing violin. I checked what note it was because I was bored ( it's a G ), and I told them that. They were so confused😂😂
Heyy!!! I relate to your video!!! The reading the music sheet as a book and apologizing to my instrument lol😜
It’s actually great to have notes to your favorite pieces.
Even tho I’ve only got my own notes i have played it so many times with the brass band that I’m technically listening to music on mute.
It’s great for the train when you’ve forgotten your AirPods but need music to calm your anxiety down lol idk byeeee🤍🎶
You should start putting the names of the classical pieces used in the description :D I'd love to know what some of these are
i love how now they have a whole playlist doing number 5
Yes especially to the working out the finger patterns and playing it in my head
0:03 When I was 7 I used to do that. Bet I was trying to become Ling Ling XD
1:17 guys you're literally did it on your vids :v
1.Feeling guilty when we didn't have the violin with us for a short while or having the feeling like one of our body part is missing something .
2. Falling asleep during the practise and laying next to instrument gently and hugging it.
3. Talking to ourself , to violin and to the scores during the practise and people may think that we talk to somebody if they're around.
the using old sheet music and fingering notes one are so accurate I do those all the time
I feel very identified with this kind of rare musicians 😄😄❤️❤️
0:24
POV:you’re an pianist
I'm actually studying to become a visual artist, but as a member of a musician family I can relate a lot. They're always talking about the pitch in everything and we never interrupt music in the middle of a phrase because it's painful to hear it interrupted in such a brutal way.
I've definitely done the fingering thing before haha, and waiting for phrases in my music. Don't exactly conduct, but I do count out random beats sometimes.
0:48
At least he's practicing
I thought they were gonna hold hands. Y u play with my feelings like this.
HAHAHA
Yesssss! Esp the reading music like books part!!!
I can actually see these two doing all of them in real life lol adorable
1:08 Not even 1 second in and I already knew it was Sherlock....
I started crying
I love Sherlock and I want to know if his playing is any good. Can you tell me?
Angelica M Fleites Tejeda Sherlock or Benedict? Sherlock’s playing is absolutely beautiful, I don’t actually think Benedict can play the violin though lol. You must watch Sherlock if you haven’t watched it.
@@spyfalls_ I watched the show, it's amazing. But now that I start med watching 2set violin and kind if know what playing is supposed to look like I wanted to know how good the violin acting was lol. It's been a Long time so I can't say. Welp I guess I'll go rewatch
I litteraly do all of them except for 9, because I'm so bad at sightreading😂
I remembered when my classmate's ukulele hits the walls then we both said ouch, days before quarantine were amazing, and im going back to their old vids for no reason
omg I do these things:
0:24 fingering music
1:18 judging violin scenes in tv shows
1:50 apologizing to your instrument
and especially 2:31 using sheet music as recycled paper
I do 2,3,5,6 and 8 A LOT (sometimes even 10)
Weird things that musicians do:
Practice piano on table
haha yeah literally any flat surface becomes a temporary makeshift piano 😹
OMG, so TRUE! I’m a pianist and my families like traveling a lot so whenever there is a large flat surface no matter where we are I would always do my practicing on it and people would just stare at me...😂😂😂
I can agree
