I love this idea, I plan to put something similar into a speculative evolution project I will make next year. But in my version the asteroid hits at 100 myh, in the far future.
Give melodysheep some award in best visuals, sound tracks and most importantly, in sparking interest in science, astronomy and physics. The one channel I would never ger bored of.

@@gamereplixer8521 He started off as a music channel primarily, if I recall, doing autotuned songs of speeches by Fred Rogers, Bob Ross, various science figures, etc. Dude has learned a lot since then.

The fact that this man makes every aspect of the video; the visuals, the music, the research, the narration, is just absolutely mind blowing. The fact that he is able to produce something this high quality on his own amazes me. Well done.
In his past videos, he used scenes from movies and other people’s work. Nice to see his team come a long way.
I wondered if it was 1 person or a team, would be curious to hear more about the people behind it. Back in the day I always assumed it was 1 guy
I think the terms genius, especially, and prodigy get thrown around on the internet willy nillily, but in this case, he is the definition of a genius and 110% fitting the definition of prodigy. This young man makes theater on the grandest of scale and quality, that would take companies years to develop. That's not even talking about the creative aspect. It's really a humbling experience to witness someone like that.

It is sad that Melodysheep does not actually get the recognition he deserves. His videos and clips are stolen by literally some nobodies in Facebook and Instagram and gets millions of views.

Unbelievable. It's actually a shame that your incredible videos are running on UA-cam. They should actually run on a projection screen in an actual movie theater. Don't ever stop doing what you do for UA-cam and us science and history lovers. This is fantastic. (Also, you should surprise us with those "silly" videos you used to do back in the day. What a throwback).
Melodysheep just puts so much effort in his videos and it's for free. That's unbelievable. I have never seen any other channel who puts this much effort in a video.
I might be considered a idiot but someone who is an engineering student and also works using C4D(as a hobby) I think the video this time has not so OP visuals when it comes to CGI characters. The visuals that he earlier delivered were crazy as f and that motivated me to try to make things like him. I still think he should delay this. It needs a lot of work on the vfx from what I see. No hate to the man but I am ready to wait another year if the VFX reach the same height as timelapse of future or the Life Beyond Part II. My complains about him putting a new work often existed and this is highlighted in the 0:37 to 0:41 scene where the buildings and everything looks jarring, unrealistic by his own standards. Kind surprised he is pushing this to Jan despite some bad CG in some scenes. I know the most efforts will be put in asteroid sequence but other scenes can be made good too if he takes another 3-4 months

Humanity is tenacious. We do not give up, even when it seems like theres nothing to fight for.
We survive til we are unable to breathe.
And unlike so many before us, we can do something about it.
I think that’s we all think this. But the question is *how well* would we survive ?

@@kalpanaanubhav The idea is that either the asteroid surprises us, or any deployed countermeasures fail to knock it off course.
Which isn´t even a given because we can make breathable air from water so long as we have a power supply.
But yeah, humans would most likely survive an impact that massive. The first big part is that there is so many of us spread over all of the globe. So we would absolutely make it through the initial impact. If it does not raze the complete surface of the planet, it´s not going to kill us all.
And we would make it through the nuclear winter and climate catastrophe. The thing that sets humans apart from other animals in our weight class is not just our intelligence, but also that we are extremely adaptable omnivores. We could literally live of a diet of fungi and roaches if we needed to. While civilization as it is today would not make it, and we would need centuries to recuperate from it, humans as a species are unlikely to die out even from such an extreme event. It would not be fun, but at the end we still would be around. We did after all evolve to deal with dire straights and extreme change.
