    I agree wholeheartedly about the dominance of armor/aircraft. I wish infantry were better. The success I've had with them has been when they've been on hold fire acting as scouts for everything else. I think part of the problem is that armor has unrealistically large line of sight and awareness. The way spotting works isn't really conducive to combined arms. They could learn a lot from how spotting and line of sight works in the Combat Mission series.

      @sedghammer ya vehicles/Armors line of sight should work like how their armor system works.
      Example
      Front- line sight value
      Side -line of sight value
      Rear- line of sight value
      Top -line of sight value
      Also of you want to get real cool with it you could have a rotating like scanning line of sight that goes further out and only scans around when not engaging a target to simulate the commanders sight on armor vehicals if they have one. But it doent scan if engaging a target since it's focused on a target already

    iv found the line of sight is also funny with units in cover in woods, sometimes you'll have an enemy unit in the woods less than 50 meters from your guys, and you wont see them and your guys wont return fire, your guys will just stand there being shot from 50 meters away not doing anything, its kinda annoying to micro manage that in a game with this much going on

    Like you - I have large LoS and "Units not obeying" issues. I find roughly 30-50% of clicks don't work, making it super frustrating.
    As for disconnects - to discourage this, perhaps there's a way that players can't enter another game until the one that they were in has ended. Maybe as a minumum they can't use that battlegroup until it's out of the last game.

      Glad its not just me having the issue with clicking.
      So initially it was supposed to ban you from playing another game till that one ends and forces you to reconnect but that does not always seem to happen currently. I would go for a stiffer punishment like a 3 hour block initially, and repeat offenders increase it.
      But I accept not everyone would be up for that.

      Someone earlier on discord phrased it as "If you want to clear woods, you use tanks"... they were not totally wrong.

    usually the quitting isn't anyones fault but I'm sure some bad players are taking advantage

    Here are some ways I think infantry can be improved and made fun to use.
    They need Stealth bonuses to help them not be detected by enemy units.
    Examples
    Concealment, Cover and structures should give them a less of a chance to be detected from air units and ground units
    If infantry is not moving and not firing they this should give them even more of a Stealth bonus and should stack on the bonus from structures
    Also infantry should have a different Starting starting Stealth stat depending on the gear they carry and if it's a more elite unit.
    This would allow infantry to have a better chance to get i lnto a position and survive longer in combat.
    They should also get a good defensive buff when in cover, or a building and shouldn't melt in combat as fast as they do.
    Also they should be giving ambush stance or bonus on striking an enemy first from Concealment or Cover.
    And for all units in general should be able to be told to attack certain types of targets.
    Example add an option next to the hold Fire option on the UI that allows you to choose armor, helicopter, plane, infanty, support as priority targets so that this unit attacks these first or only these type of targets. That way a javelin team doesn't waste all the Munitions on humvves and will only attack tanks with there missiles. Thus could be applied to all units in game and could help with not having g to micro manage as much.

      Good suggestions, I would just add, that if the infantry open fire then they should obviously then become visible but maybe that goes without saying.

      @Bandanner ya as soon as they fire they should loose Stealth and are delectable. But if they move and relocate undectect out of lime of sight from the enemy they gain it back. That would make for some fun infantry shoot and scoot tactics especially with arty support dropping smoke

      I have heard other people mention this too though not that its happened constantly, make sure you report it as a bug to them (you can do it in game with the bug icon I think).

      It's a beta not a demo so its not as stable as a final game/demo might be.
      I assume you are describing a laptop? Unless it has dedicated graphics card then I suspect it would struggle.

    i like infantry more than vehicles, i wanna see dudes in cool suits with cool equipments fighting but in this game vehicles are so much better and infantry is just feels like a burden on you in this fast paced armors game. This and maybe the quitters made me not wanting to play after the first few days. First few days was awesome though untill i got teached about infantry by my opponents :p

    The big problem is that the new gamemode is just stupid it does not know what if wants to do and due to the destruction points it completley looses its meaning to cap the points, plus playing with randoms is super frustrating, and also the issues that the russian choppers seemingly tank everything, and the maps are way too big for the game like make those maps smaller and youd see better engagements.
    Plus the game really penalizes the team that has someone who disconnected..
    Plus your framerate in the video is not very good maybe look into lowering the settings for better fps.

      We were discussing this as a group last night and pondered the idea of including the destruction points BUT making them worth less than holding the cap points.
      And also reducing the amount of points you get in the last phase of the game so you can't just mass spam to win in the dying minutes.
      As for the choppers, I have noticed some things being more tanky than others but it depends what's shooting at them, AA missiles do seem to struggle more than they should to hit targets at times. Where AA guns seem to melt them pretty fast.

      @Bandanner yeah currently its like the old game Mode just last Minute Spam to win wich really takes out the fun and any strategy really.
      All in all i had more fun with the last open beta than this one.

      Weirdly I feel the same and others have told me they just aren't as enthused to play it, certainly there are people on both sides of course but its a shame, hopefully they will resolve some of this before release as the game has so much potential.

    Sea Power and Broken Arrow simply have too many things to do to be fun and then the team issue vs random players in game setup like if you dont have your guys and they dont have their guys u get the leaving. Me gonna wait have to see the price point.

      What do you mean regarding Sea Power out of interest? Just there is too much going on at once?
      I get what you mean about BA, just was not sure on Sea Power :)

      @@Bandanner the sub hunts and air operations in the vids I have seen make cmo look emotional. Its too much, sonar bouys for example i saw a vid where his helos dropped 85 looking for a sub. Imho seems wayyyy to sim/authentic to be fun. Its a trend i guess

      @89volvowithlazers oh Sea Power is trying to be a sim/realistic yeah. That's actually part of the fun for the target audience :)
      But very much not everyone's cup of tea.

    I wish they would of release SP campaign first and then work on whatever they trying to do do with the rest. cause MP in RTS games are not my cup of tea. Sweaty meta clickfests…

      Well we have to remember here that the SP campaign takes a long time to script, it was not finished a year ago, a single mission was created and then got reworked based on feedback because it had issues and was not perfectly fine. And there was more recently a closed beta test on that part of the game which I obviously can't talk about but we can assume it's not finished.
      And different team members will be working on the missions to some extent compared to those planning out multiplayer.
      You just have teams working in tandem on different aspects of the game. Such as some people working on performance issues which affect both SP and MP.

      @ well, the way they went after it… look at warno and their “success” plus, a year has past and I see no major improvements in mp and servers.
