This why I've been subscribed to your channel for so long. This is going to be a great build and the fact that you're using gen 2 coyote/boss rods is why it's great. I've been asking about using them for years and nobodys made a video showing how.
I LOVE this. I love your old videos so much because they're so much more relatable to me, so doing something like this more on my power/budget level really excites me.
Im so late on this freakin video but im glad i got to see this. I was actually pulling down a 98 cobra 4.6 4v for my sn95 and as soon as i pulled the timing chain tensioners and relieved that pressure i revealed a cracked forged crank and after that i kinda switched gears and decided to build a 351w i have sitting on my other engine stand. I had bought a brand new set of molnar pwr addr forged rods ill probably end up selling to go towards the 351 build. I love seeing simplified builds like this that make decent power. Cant wait to see the rest of the process bro 🐎💪🏽

I’ve been contemplating on building the motor in my 02 Saleen sc. Thinking about all forged internals, automatic trans, fuel system, and turbo. She only has 38,000 miles so I don’t know. Thought about putting a Godzilla in it. I mean why not ?
@WarriorOfEden3033 it's not really a mod motor though nothing else is interchangeable on them like cams and heads and intake manifolds etc. The rods are the same because it's based on the 4.6 but larger bore but it isn't actually part of the 4.6 family the 5.4/5.8 4v engines in 07-14 gt500s are mod motors just like the old 4.6 and 5.4 2v 3v and 4v and they all share the same firing order with the windsors. The coyote is a diff engine family but does have the same length rods as the old 4.6.
My build is similar Stock 6 bolt crank Gen 2 coyote rods Diamond flat tops 12.3 CR 250 shot Next will be some ported PI heads But for now I’m shooting for low 12s NA and mid 10s on nitrous
Very excited for this build! I am doing nearly the exact same build myself and am looking forward to your tips and tricks. Im just waiting on pistons at the moment.
Mod motors are easy to get power from especially boosted the stock rods just aren't that strong it's a pretty easy fix with a rod and pistons swap especially with a 4v which had forged cranks. People act like you gotta do all kinds of stuff to make a mod motor make and take power but that is totally false.. you gotta do more than a coyote to make coyote power but the engine is also much cheaper to start especially if you already have said engine in your car. I'm thinking about coyote swapping my 97 cobra simply because I want to make 500 to the wheels all motor turning 8k that is alot easier to achieve with less modding with a coyote. If I was just gonna do a 500-600 or so rwhp boosted build like alot of guys do (I already got a big power boosted 07 gt500 i want the cobra to be an all motor twisties build) I would simply do boss rods and 10:1 forged pistons with cams and headers it would make good power pretty easy with forced induction. I still may do a budget 4v build with a centri I haven't 100% made up my mind.
Keep up the awesome content. And I’m gonna say I don’t think ur car isn’t unreliable. There are a few things I don’t plan to do(maybe🤪) but to me still awesome. But this is gonna be an awesome series. Keep it up.
Nice brother, I have a 03 Crown Vic P71 . I am starting to building but it's a iron block. Is a prob making 5 to 600 with this at 20 over?. I love the sound of a 2 valve. I plan on turbo charging her. I've been told by Vs Racing to run a 7875 .96 ar. I hope that's correct. Love the content brother.
I bet about 5,000 people ordered them some coyote rods over the last 13 days. I am ready for part 2, 3, and 4 on this. I know I'm a little late but I have too ask... What do you recommend more, a turbo, or supercharger, and why. Also, do you ever mess with nitrous?
2 Questions: 1. Is that Manley box, Manley rings for the DSS Pistons? 2. Are the coyote rods going to be using ARP bolts as well or use the factory bolts?
Didn't hear it anywhere in the video. What's your friend's total budget for this setup? I have a tork tech on a factory 2v rn making about 400-450 on about 11-12 psi (haven't dynoed yet) and am looking to build a similar setup with an iron block

Out of curiosity, how much horsepower would this build put out without boost? Would be sick to just have a beast of a 2v 4.6 in N/A form. I don’t need a zillion horsepower, just want more fun.
Motortrend built a 5.0 2v stroker with TF heads and TF intake, made 463 hp and 430 ft/lb of torque on engine dyno which equates to around 400 rwhp. Not a cheap build whatsoever.
I want to build my 2v 4.6 in my Thunderbird lx I want more power to knock some socks off people and still drive it on the road how much would that cost and where should I send it
Andrew, i have a question if you could help me out, I have 4.6L 2v stock heads non pi with stage 5 comp cams extreme energy and I want to build the bottom end and get my compression up. What would you recommend? Parts/brands. Thanks in advance 🎉
You mentioned the pins for the chain guides, do you think the tensioners NEED to be modified for a 2 step? I ask cause I personally didn't do that, I do have the pins and secondary accufab chains, b head setup

So, just a few questions. Why does everyone go .10 over with the bore, and 2nd, if the cast iron blocks are tanks why does everyone go to the teksid alum block?

is it in the car yet?

11:1 is good long as you run good enough fuel. 93/boostane minimum and race fuel or e85 ideal.
