      @crownvictorialifestyle4421 in 2009 the blocks were cast different. If you put a Cobra crank in an iron block cast previous of 03 you have to clearance the block. That isn't uncommon information.

    I like what ur doin! I think people say 6 bolt main cause some blocks have 6 bolts holding each main journal. My 2003 aluminum wap block is like this. It has 4 bolts in each main and 2 cross bolts. So 6 bolts in each main crank journal

    • @streetslayers410
      @streetslayers410  4 роки тому

      Yes! The aluminum blocks are 6 bolt mains and the cast iron blocks are 4 bolt mains. Just to clarify, some people claim that the 03-04 cobra cast iron blocks are 6 bolt mains. Sorry for the confusion. I appreciate you checking in 🤙

    Deburing the block will reduces points whereas it's likely to cracks throughout the block. I've done this a few times and it takes about an hour, cleaning the block takes even longer and if you think it's clean double check. I've found specs of metal after I thought it was clean.

      That's the last year of the 2v for the expedition. You can tell by the intake and valve cover shape pretty easily. 2v valve covers are rectangular looking and 3v covers have rounded shapes along the bottom

    Aye man I have a question so I just finished rebuilding my 4.6 mustang and besides one lil problem it all went very well and I was hoping you have the time to help me figure out this problem and that is when the vehicle gets to operating temperature it stalls out at idle, so I replaced the IAC VALVE but once I put the new IAC VALVE in now it just stalls out once I start it. I know the vehicle is timed correctly so I don't think that's the issue maybe you might be able to send me in the correct direction

    I just found your channel and I’m so glad I did. I have a 07 4.6 3v that spun a bearing and ate the journal on the crank up. Motors super young only has 50k on it and the internals look good other than that so I don’t want to have to replace everything and your literally the only person I’ve been able to find that shows how you save what’s not broken!
