What a wonderful opportunity to see a lot of liberty fabrics altogether and treat yourself to some lovely prints. They are all so beautiful and I couldn't pick a favourite. xx
So lovely of you to take us with you to the sale. I don't have anything like that here where I live in Australia and so have to go either to mainstream stores or buy online. I don't really like to buy online much, as I am a tactile person and like to feel the fabric. You certainly bought a beautiful selection and I'm happy for you. Enjoy. 😊❤
Wow I would have been in heaven in that sale , the £1 pieces would have been lovely for me as I like doing patch work type things or lots of pieces pit together. The ags you showed us were fantastic also. Feel very jealous hehe. No getting bored like you love looking at the pieces .
I hadn't heard of Alice Caroline before today. Who doesn't love pouring over fabrics! ❤ Loved all your purchases. Rachel you show them up close and clearly thank you. 💖👍🇨🇦
You are so very lucky to live where you can get bargains like that. Everything is so gorgeous. Here in the states where I live liberty lawn is $35 a yard. I have not seen anyone have small pieces to choose from. It has been so delightful watching your video. You are such a sweet person. I only found you today, but I will be watching your videos from now on.
Hello, I would have thought that been one of four sisters that at least one of them would have a passion for sewing too, sadly not 😮 only myself . My daughter (25) does so you have inspired me to have a crafternoon with her 😊xx
Thanks for sharing your Liberty sale adventure. You can never buy (or even window shop) enough beautiful fabric 😉 I went to the Handy crafts show in Montpellier on Friday I told you about & was delighted to see that there were many fabric stalls. My favourite stalls were a British lady selling Liberty fabric & a Spanish designer from Barcelona who had some fantastic organic cotton prints that go perfectly with Liberty stuff. I was able to buy enough to make a quilt for our toddler grand daughter. 😘
Love all that Liberty. I'm in the USA and almost impossible to find here especially in a quilt shop. I do have a box full of it but had to get it from Liberty of London. Luckily I got it before prices went up after Covid. Enjoy!
It's so interesting to see a haul like this, and see what piques your interest in terms of colors and patterns. I'm definitely more into blues and purples myself, but I love how you point out the nice little details in prints and colors I might have overlooked. Your enthusiasm is infectious!
Oh my would I love to tag along with you and your sister. What beautiful fabrics you purchased. My favorite color ways are along the peachy, orange melon etc. Lovely shops you have.
What a wonderful day! I live in the US, but I always look for books set in the Cotswolds. Your fabric is beautiful. I get overwhelmed trying to choose, so I would definitely go for the pre-made bags.
Love these fabrics 😍. I’m sitting doing my Liberty epp quilt and wishing I could have gone with you! Trying not to buy too much this year and use what I have but it’s always tempting.
Haha, I loved your excitement beforehand! I’m not surprised, looking at all those goodies. Is saw the sale advertised and am gutted I live too far away!
I loved seeing what you bought at the sale.❤ what a treat. I look forward to seeing you wearing the dress your sister is going to make for you, in one of your videos. ❤
Thank you so much for sharing your Liberty goodies with us. I absolutely love their fabrics.❤I’m going to England in September, can’t wait and hopefully will be able to purchase some of that gorgeous fabric. 😊
Oh girl!!! I am SO jealous of your opportunity to purchase so many beautiful Liberty prints at such a great value!!! I would have gone absolutely crazy in a sale like that so I guess it’s a good thing I don’t live near you 😂😂😂. Thanks for sharing your beautiful finds with us. You picked some really gorgeous prints! 😍😍😍😍
Wow, what a great selection of fabrics and such a fun sale. It is difficult to find a nice selection of Liberty in the US where I live so my collection remains small but I love seeing such a variety of prints.
You got some lovely fabrics. I love to sew dresses for myself but would never use liberty because of how expensive it would be. (I live in U.S.). I would shop like you do if I were to go to these liberty sales. I can't just settle on just one or two prints. I like to use them for small projects.❤️
It was very exciting to see your purchases…….you have picked up some incredible prints. I must look out for bargains like this at the next quilt show that I’m going to. I’ve also bought the fpp mini houses pattern since watching you do yours. I’m excited to start it, but really need to finish off some current projects.
I love the fabrics you have chosen. I am from the states and I was first introduced to Liberty fabrics 2 years ago when my husband and I were in Europe on our first Viking River cruise. I purchased one meter of two different fabrics from two different countries with the thought of making a quilt from my travels. However, I am not sure when we will get to visit Europe again. It would be fabulous to be able to purchase Liberty scraps and pieces from the shop where you purchased your fabrics. Do you know if that shop would ship to the states? Please post the shop’s contact information. I would also like to know the best place in the states to find Liberty fabric. Thanks so much! Love your channel, Rachel!
what a treat of a day out! thanks much for the show and tell - i don't think any of us watching get tired of seeing those amazing colors and pattern combinations - sheer art! well i finally subscribed - yay! - thanks again for getting me hooked...away from knitting... quick question i don't think i've heard you mention: do you pre-wash your fabrics? here in utah, a friend of mine made a quilt to enter into our state fair, and the rules stated that you had to use unwashed fabrics only for quilt entries, which i found odd? anyway, i pre-wash. and iron after that. curious what you suggest. also - you've probably showed this - but how do you store these orts and gubbins of fabric? i'm fairly new to stashing fabrics but it seems like i'd want to do it by type? like i have some flannels, which i don't think i want to store with quilting cottons, and then a bunch of linen, etc. i need a system - help!
Thank you for subscribing! I don't prewash my fabrics for quilts but I would for dress making as size matters in clothes but not as much quilting. If there is any shrinkage, then it will only create a nice wrinkled effect that I love in quilts. I usually buy small cuts of fabric so I imagine they would fray alot while washing. For storing small cuts of fabric and projects, I put them in fancy gift boxes as they look nice and decorative. For fat quarters and yardage, I use my under bed drawers.
Your delight as you flip through your fabric purchases was darling - I can relate to your excitement! :)
Liberty fabrics, cream teas, what a fantastic day!!
What a wonderful opportunity to see a lot of liberty fabrics altogether and treat yourself to some lovely prints. They are all so beautiful and I couldn't pick a favourite. xx

whenever I watch one of your haul videos for some reason I always find myself wanting to go fabric shopping 🤭
Ooops! 🤣
Esas telas se tienen que mojar? Gracias
Great selection of fabrics, so much potential for little projects . How did I miss this sale, 😢 where did you hear about it?
Oh nooo!! I saw it in Instagram, it was their first sale but I think they'll have more
I loved the same fabrics you did. Do you think that the savings are worth the airfare from Canada 😂😂
🤣🤣 perhaps not, but you'd have a fun time
how do you get the sample stickers off without damaging the fabric, or do you just cut them away?
I have mixed experiences with it, sometimes you can gently pull the sticker and it comes off no problem, other times I rips and doesn't come off.
@@stitchwithrachel thank you
Hi Rachel, how did you hear about the AC sale? Was it from her website?
I think I saw it on her Instagram, if you aren't in the Midlands. She is actually going on "tour" around the country with a sales van 💖
❤❤❤
