Rachel I always wish I could write you a letter and tell you all-out my sewing life. I'm already grandma or as you would say Nan my youngest child is 50 years old. I've done a little of everything in the past but several years ago I just didn't want to do anything anymore. I was dealing with health issues but have improved so much that I have started again.😅 I 🎉enjoy so much watching you sew and talk. Sometimes I think how much I would enjoy. Shopping with you or sitting with you while you 😂sew ,pulling out papers for you. I have much more I would share, but I'm sure you have other things to do. One more thing, I used to feel guilty about taking things out of order. Inanimate things like stones in a line, or papers ot of order. That sounds pretty dumb, but it reminds me of you and your crafts. It always makes me chuckle to myself to hear you talk about your guilty feelings. Thanks for reading this.grandma Sue
Thank you for taking me along on your fabric shop. What a beautiful little quilt store full of such amazing eye candy! I would be there for hours trying to take in all the fabrics and projects. I don't know how you had the willpower to come home with so few buys. I can't wait to see what creations you make with your treasures.
You are welcome, its such a great shop! We usually do a lap around, browsing and then sit down for a coffee and cake, then go again 🤣 I'm surprised I stuck to budget!
What a lovely shop! Did you know Tula used one of her sisters as a model for the Alice in Wonderland fabric? She does weekly video's on instagram and she shows all her newest fabrics, the quilts she makes and lots of information on her thoughtprocess in designing, combining and quilting; very interesting and educational. I learned loads from her! She also shows examples on how to use different scales of fabric. Her Tula Sunrise pattern is EPP and has larger centerblocks, so would be great for such focusprints.
Hello Rachel,I'm watching from Japan. Your video made me want to visit Bramble Patch and I did go there last month! Long way from Japan, but it was a beautiful experience to see quilt-loving people in UK. I bought fabrics and EPP kits. Thank you for sharing!
Wow, thanks for this video. I love fabric shops and looking for fabrics, The Bramble Patch had beautiful fabrics. You and your sister purchases are lovely. I am in Australia and I loved the drive down the street to see the houses.
I absolutely love quilt shops. The fabrics you both chose are beautiful. Tula has an Instagram channel and You Tube as well if I'm not mistaken. She shows all the quilts she makes.. epp and machine. You may get some ideas from her. Pillows and wall hangings are always fun. Enjoy the fabric!💕
Enjoyed this trip to Bramble Patch, I have a shopping trip soon to Saint Andrews ,NB Canada. To purchase Tilda fabrics for the very first time. It will be difficult not to spend money, yet winter is coming and a new project is always fun. So relaxing watching this tour.
What an amazing quilt shop! So many beautiful fabrics to pick from! How do you even choose?? You girls did a great job shopping - love the fabrics that you both picked! And, I love that little cafe area - it’s great to be able to get off your feet, enjoy a cup of tea & a pastry, & review your shopping purchases! I would love to shop there!!
Thank you for taking us with you round their lovely quilt shop at Bramble Patch. Its really inspiring seeing other shops especially their fabrics they stock are quite different to my local one. I love seeing the items made up from their fabrics. Delicious! And you and your sister have very different color palette choices. I'm definitely more like you with bolder colours...but not always -soft Jane Austeny ones also appeal. Thanks.
Thank you for taking us to Bramble Patch, I get their newsletter and offers, but live too far away. It is great to see a quilt shop in the UK as I have not found any videos like yours, that take you around the shops in the UK. 😮
Haven't been to a real quilt shop in years. (Im in Florida)The one closest to me closed. I really enjoyed watching you two shop. Love that dark colored fabric with the flowers on. It is VERY striking !!! ✌🏻♥️
What a lovely shop with so many choices. So nice that you have your sister, who is a quilter too, to go with. I loved the cafe area. A great place to go over your basket of goodies and perhaps leave an uninterested hubby while you browse. Thank you for taking us along. xx
You are so welcome, we always go round the shop once then go to the cafe area and consider what we've picked up and if we need to add anything to it, check Pinterest got inspiration 🤣
Thanks for taking me along with your shopping As for fo us fabric..I use a pattern called "Walk About" by tthe Grizzly Gulch Gallery The large focus print is 10.5" and the setting comes out graphic thereby creating a pop wirh the large block Have fun Jan from Florida Its a rainy day which means.....time to sew😅
So nice to go shopping with you such a fun quilt shop! For tula pink and large motifs, can make travel pillow cases (also great just for around the house). Or regular size pillow cases. Or a nice firm drawstring bag or shopping tote (maybe a reversible one). Or regular pillow cover. Or table mats or runners.
The Bramble Patch looks like a fun and inspirational shop. It would be quite hard not to want everything. LOL. I always love it when you share your shopping trips to this wonderful shop. Thank you. ❤😊
We are heading over to the uk this October, and visiting as many quilting shops as possible on our travels, with a husband in tow. I believe this one was on the list. If you can recommend any other must see shops, please let me know. Beautiful shop
I wish I was able to go to that little shop. But I live in Beaufort, Missouri, USA. I have been to England and I loved it so much. Love to visit there again some time. I adore the Point little villages. I just love them.
Thanks for the video. Lovely material that your sister and you purchased. I love going to quilting shops to see and purchase fabric. It’s like looking at the world of color in the shops. So many possibilities.
Hi thanks for the trip to the fabric shop I love looking at different fabrics that lovely fabric you bought with the girl motif would make a lovely bag maybe?? looking forward to your nx video x
What a wonderful time you spent together and a fantastic shop. I would spend hours there😂 The prices were so reasonable too. The stores near me are much more expensive so I have to watch my budget. Thanks again fir sharing. ❤ from Sue ... Australia 🇦🇺
You are welcome Sue, yeah I had to be careful on this trip, which is why I love the scraps that they offer. I'm glad you have a local place to shop though ❤️
@stitchwithrachel I have only recently found your site and love the way you present in a nice quiet, gentle way. I've just retired at almost 72 years of age and am wanting to learn crafting skills. EPP being one of them. So I'm looking forward to looking at your back posts and having fun in a happy space. I live in the beautiful Blue Mountains, west of Sydney Australia. I have beautiful panoramic views from the mountains towards Sydney city and the east coast. Very spoiled.
Thanks for showing us the fabrics. Such a pretty and inspiring shop. I was saying - oh that’s pretty and then oh that’s pretty as you walked through. New subbie to your channel. 💕🧵
Beautiful fabric, and of course, I love them all. I'm so glad you showed your purchase. I have been looking for leather tumble now I can order from clover. I had forgotten about them. And I truly love the leather so much. I really like your sister's pick of fabric too, giving me a different shades of color, I often don't buy, I really did like her choice s. Between the two of you, I have some great ideas for future quilts. Thanks so much.
You inspired me to visit the bramble patch, as it is only 30 minutes away from me. Lucky me! Of course I did spend money, but I’m very happy with my haul too
@@stitchwithrachel I literally had to walk round with my hands behind my back to stop me buying everything in the shop. However, they do have a loyalty card system and so any purchases made do eventually lead to a £20 discount in the future and that has got to be a good thing!thanks for bringing this super place to my notice and I will definitely be making it a place to visit regularly
That is my local fabric shop too. I like to pop to Granny's Cafe afterwards for breccy. I also bought the Alice Tula. I made a 6 pocket bag that showed off all the different designs.
We discovered granny's a little while ago too. We either go before for energy or after aswell. Great shop! Have you been to the antique shops by the disused canal?
Oh,my favourite little haunt,I'm a sucker for vintage so I spend lots of time rummaging around there. Banbury isn't far from there,it has 3 fabric shops. Perhaps another fabric shop tour? :)
New to your channel. Wow, loved the fabric shop! That’s nice with the little eatery. Have a little something before heading home. The materials are gorgeous. I live in the states and too many of the GOOD fabric shops have gone out of business? I will have to check these particular fabrics out. Thank you.
I’ve got that Tula Pink fat quarter bundle. So far I’ve made an Oh My Stars quilt top with Alice’s face fussy cut in the centre of one of the stars. I’m thinking of using a Missouri Star Quilt pattern to showcase the faces and large painted roses. Doughty’s are bringing their stock to the Kingfishers Quilters meeting in Redditch on 22 Feb; they stock Liberty and you’re not so far from Redditch.
The bramble Patch is my closest quilting shop too haven't been yet but I must!!! Its about 1 hour 15 mins from me. Alice Caroline has an open shop sale of liberty fabrics in March and the Malvern Quilt Festival is in May........so exciting, I really hope to say hello to you one day at one of these lovely quilty places. Thank you for all your lovely videos, Im making my first quilt, following along with your temperature quilt and loving it x
Aww thats so cool that you are local too, I saw Alice Caroline's sale and i definitely want to go, I'm not the most confident driver but I think I can do it for sale liberty 🤣❤️ x
Felt a bit like I was there in the shop with you; and was inspired by a hexi runner; thanks. Clover's Gold Eye needles are my favorite for hand sewing so far (after trying some Primitive Gatherings and Tulip). Wish I had a suggestion for the Curiouser & Curiouser fabric by Tula, but it is my least favorite line of hers; didn't buy it because I didn't know what to do with it. Looking forward to seeing what you do with yours.
Lovely fabric haul ❤ I would love to visit a fabric shop like Bramble Patch. The closest thing I have is the tiny selection in Boyes, and it usually looks like a jumble sale! We used to have a lovely little independent shop but covid killed that off 😡 I just love the smell of a fabric shop and being able to see and touch the fabrics ❤❤ There is a nice little shop where we go on our holidays, hopefully that will still be there when we go away in April 🤞my other half likes it when I say I'm going in the fabric shop because he and our daughter go and wait for me in the pub 😂😂
Loved the video Rachael but the drum beat in the music gave me a twitch in the end, I couldn’t mute it as I wanted to hear what you were saying. Great haul by the way.
Amazing video I wish I had someone to go do a shop with beautiful the sale se Timon is greatbundles I love what you ladies bought and cake well I’m sold where is that place luv teresa
really nice video! thank you! re: what to make with that panel - have a look at this video at 6:56 - on the back wall with the diamond patterning, is a quilt with a similar panel in the middle...something like that?

Thank you for taking us along! I'm the woman who's never met a fabric she didn't like. Your purchases your awesome.
The Bramble Patch is a lovely store! Amazing quilts on the walls and so nice to have a coffee shop right there.
Is it located in West Midlands??

I think so too!

Absolutely!

Hello and welcome to the channel, I was exactly the same walking around the shop!
That looks a lovely store for you to visit. Laid out beautifully
I was in the Brambel Patch this afternoon. Wonderful cake and coffee and fabric too.

Love all the fabric! Looking forward to see what you’ll be making!

It's such a shame that covid caused so many independent shops to close, that's my excuse to buy so much.. they need our support 🤣🥰
I would have absolutely no control in the sale section lol !

really nice video! thank you! re: what to make with that panel - have a look at this video at 6:56 - on the back wall with the diamond patterning, is a quilt with a similar panel in the middle...something like that?
I believe the quilt on the back wall is a replica of the Jane Austin Coverlet quilt. It's beautiful upclose too.
Guess where I'm going next month on payday 😂
Is the mezzanine accessible for people with mobility issues ?
Ty for sharing this with us x
How exciting! The sale section is only accessible by the staircase. It does have a hand rail but no lift access, which is a shame.
Il paradiso! Nella mia città non c'è un negozio così io purtroppo compro tutto online😢
That is such a shame!
