You did good I think on your purchase. Not bad at all. Enjoy stitching. I love your videos. You are always so upbeat. I love that. You make me smile. Have a wonderful day.
Malvern is the closest of the large quilt shows nearest to me being about 15 miles away, so always do both Spring and Autumn Shows. Yes the Spring Show is considerably bigger than the Autumn one although this year I noticed that several of the larger suppliers didn't have a presence this time. There were some fantastic Competition Quilts and more this year that were to my taste in colours and techniques. Had a great visit and yes I had to do some retail therapy although I tried to avoid adding to my fabric stash apart from one purchase at Hollies Haberdashery on Tilda fabric - my current fabric obsession 😊. Glad you enjoyed your visit.
Having moved far north I can not get to the Malvern show. So you did a wonderful job showing us all the wonderful stalls. Thank you for giving us all such a treat. lol re £50!
Hello from Georgia in the US. Love festivals; always a problem deciding what to buy and what not to buy. Love your selections; I can't wait to see them made up. Take care.
Malvern Spring show was always one of my favourites, and I haven’t been able to go for a while, so I really enjoyed your lovely video. Thank you. I am impressed that you kept to some sort of budget, I never can😂.
So many cute dolls and the doggie pattern was my favorite. I don't see many patterns like that in the US. Need to travel abroad and do some shopping. Truly enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing.
You definitely can’t count the birthday gift in the budget. 😊 I love to do embroidery and I have been thinking lately that I would like to incorporate some in a tiny quilt. What a fun time. I have never been to a quilt show. I’m just getting into quilting. Literally finished my first on yesterday.
Oh my goodness so much lovely fabric! I went to Malvern a few years back and it’s nice to have free parking, the NEC is ridiculously expensive now. I’ve been going to both NEC shows for years but sadly they aren’t what they used to be, particularly for paper crafts which was what I used to go for.
Yeah the malvern is great for entry price and the parking, I went to the paper craft show about 10 years ago and then last year, I was disappointed and thought maybe my taste had change but after you've said that, I think maybe not. Parking is just as much as the ticket price, crazy really!
@@stitchwithrachel I don’t think it’s your tastes. Years ago there were so many good stands, good companies selling quality items. They’ve dwindled over the years to almost none left now sadly. Mum and I would struggle to fit it in in one day, especially March with the sewing and papercrafting but not anymore. It’s a shame. I’m still probably going to the next one though, just pre pay parking as slightly cheaper!
Loved your video. I live in the U.S. and have never been to a quilt show. It's probably for the best because I have plenty of stash to keep me busy. But I did enjoy your video and seeing your purchases. I am like you - I always go for the pretty prints but never get any solids or low volume fabric and you always need it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You make me smile! I think we all knew you wouldn’t stick to the fifty pound budget, but I think you did well. I would have gone a bit crazy at that quilt show, especially at the stand with the Tilda fabrics.
It was so hard to control myself, I tried to buy things that I'd either seen before and wanted or things i'd never seen. The tilda stand was just gorgeous!
I was there yesterday too, and brought the liberty jelly roll from Doughties that you picked up in this video and a kit from Mandy Shaw, it was a lovely day there, it always is at Malvern
I bet you got some lovely things! I loved that blue liberty jelly roll, I've previously brought a fat eighth bundle of the fabrics and they are such lovely prints. Enjoy your purchases!
Yeah, I know what you mean, Rachel. 2 weeks ago I was in Karlsruhe at the Nadelwelt Show. This is near my home town. It was so much fun. All these beautiful colors and patterns. Touching fabrics is great.
If you need clear vinyl in the future dunelm sell various types of clear vinyl with their patterned vinyl meant for table coverings and it’s really good value
House of Zandra, so cute! Glad you got the colored clothes felt. I am a Grandmother of 14 and know just the person for some of those! Hope I can find them on the web! Jean Colorado USA
What a treat this was. Loved the variety of things for sale. When I watched the show video I was thinking how much I wanted to pinch Harold’s cheeks, so I was really pleased to see you bought the pattern to make him. I think both dolls will look great in the more colourful outfits.
Lovely! Thanks for the tour, very interesting. I might contact some of the retailers, My next project is a wall hanging for my kitchen and the theme is preserves. For that, I need fabrics with fruits and vegetables. I have found some material online, but the fruit is either mixed with something else or very small and not appropriate as the content of preserving jars. I keep on trying. 😊
I love red work, and mixing embroidery with patchwork. I bought a bunch of Tilda fabrics recently (Jubilee line) but am still admiring it until I decide what to make with it.
That just looks the perfect day for me. I loved all of your purchases. I’ve made a couple of animals from the House of Zandra range. They are easy to do, but very satisfying and the results are delightful. Enjoy them!
I'm glad to hear that they are easy to do, I've started construction and so far so good but I was worried about attaching the limbs incase he looked funky
Lovely video Rachel. I am poorly unable to go so it was so nice to see your footage and purchases. Cowslip workshops is in Cornwall and that's where I get my fabric and do workshops. Perhaps you should come down with your sister. X
So enjoyable. The fabric prints you gravitate toward are so "Euro-Vintage"; lovely! Looking forward to seeing the finished animal dolls. Not sure if you've heard of Kate from The Last Homely House there in the UK; she likes EPP also and uses her sewing machine for quilts as well; she went to the Festival of Quilts I think last year. Maybe the two of you will run into each other there this year, or perhaps you'd be interested in a UA-camr meet up and post a video of it on your channels?
New subscriber here. I love your aesthetic, and am becoming addicted to your channel. It helps me slow down and enjoy the process. I even bought a Liberty jelly roll today called Emily Belle, and it was on sale for $20.00 (yay). Thanks for great videos. I'm a Tilda addict here in sunny California USA.
Was there an actual quilt show or just vendors? You got some beautiful items. It would have been so hard to choose and to stick to a budget. I always go overboard.

Lovely, all, love your patterns. Would love to see the construction of the animals. Thank you for sharing. ❤️
Canada here. Love to listen to your channel. A fabric store is like a candy shop to me. Love your enthusiasm for fabric and projects.

I was so delighted just watching the fabric and the colors and the designs. surely, I would LOVE to go there and see and ask and buy 🤩😍🥰
Excited to see the dog done

It's very difficult to stick to a budget! I hope you get to return soon.
Loved going to festival of quilts with you. Thanks 🙏
Wish I had gone now, thanks for sharing, so happy you showed Liberty Bell and Hollies Haberdashery my local shops xx

I wish I could have gone with you Rachel. I can't wait to see the animals and the pouch for sure. Such fun to see the quilt shows with you.
I usually consider fabric an essential purchase, even more so if I get to show people around! 🤣
There were fabulous fabrics at that quilt show, all very tempting.
Too tempting!
What fun to get to go to a quilt show!! Such gorgeous products.

Your filming of the show was amazing! Enjoyable to watch as you were focusing on the subject and not whirling around. Thank you!
Thank you! I do try and get a good mixture of filming and show you everything that catches my eye up close ❤️
Well that was sure fun! Loved going along with you & seeing what you bought! Love the rabbit & dog kit!❤
Love the colours in those fat quarters plains, so pretty
Loved your purchases.
Quilt show looked like it was great.
I don’t have anything like that where I live. What fun!
The animals are adorable 🥰
The animals are so cute. You know if you're going to a quilt show, of course you're going to spend money. We're else can you get such Varieties.
That was a feast for the eyes!

Thanks for taking us round, too far for me. I have made several House of Zandra kits and they are such fun and fit together perfectly. xx

Hello from California. I love watching your adventures, and your work is lovely. You keep me motivated. Tamlyn
I'm so glad!
I love red work, and mixing embroidery with patchwork. I bought a bunch of Tilda fabrics recently (Jubilee line) but am still admiring it until I decide what to make with it.
Tilda is just gorgeous so I don't blame you for admiring it for a while ❤️
Wow wow it lovely and fabrics 🧵🪡💯🏴

It’s a bit far for me to visit this show, save my pennies for NEC, love your channel. Lv Di ❤❤❤
Definitely worth saving them for the nec!
Oh my goodness! I'm off to find Harold ❤ Great video as always ❤
Lovely video Rachel. I am poorly unable to go so it was so nice to see your footage and purchases. Cowslip workshops is in Cornwall and that's where I get my fabric and do workshops. Perhaps you should come down with your sister. X
I should! A little road trip and have a holiday.. maybe our next retreat
I love village fabrics. Even tho I'm in nz I watch sewing street from time to time and she's on there
Ooooh is she? I'll have to watch 😃

Love watching your videos. Where did you get the pattern for the Toadstool houses which you have on your wall .
Such a lovely video. Thanks for sharing 😊

Yeah, there was a quilt show with competition quilts but unfortunately I didn't have time to go around that section.
Really enjoyed your video Rachel
Glad you enjoyed it!
I want to gooooooo im so jealous
If you ever have the chance to go to any quilt show, definitely go!
@stitchwithrachel I want to enter in to one for sure lol may not be good enough but I want to try
Hi Rachel
I was at the Malvern quilt show today. Had a fab time.
It is a great show, did you manage to see the competition quilts?
@@stitchwithrachel
No sorry to be busy looking around. In a few weeks I am going to Kempton park quilts show. Will you be going?
We went today. That stand you couldn’t remember the name; it’s Sew Hot. I’ve bought from them on line.
Thank you! Did you have a nice time Julie?
@@stitchwithrachel yes thank-you. My first time going to Malvern.

Hi . Please talk about your lampshade
Hi Louise, it's made from liberty scraps, I have a full video on my channel 💖
Buget 🤣🤣
What was I thinking 🤣
There's something that inherently goes wrong with our brains the minute a quilt shop is entered
I agree 🤣
Let's face it, we all knew that you wouldn't be able to stick to a budget. Anyhow, under the quilter-maths rules buying fabric/kits/notions (that you obviously need) at a quilt show doesn't count. 😂😂😂
Yes, all of it essential!! 🤣🤣
I am always stuffing the odd £10 in the back of my purse for special shopping outings 😂❤
Can't hear you, need to speak up!!!
