I wanted to add to this as your video here seems to be main location people get information regarding this. I know how difficult it was finding the answers to this question, so I wanted to update with my most recent experience. I recently bought the CSL DD during black friday sales (couldn't justify the extra price for the GT DD Pro). Ideally I wanted a setup that would be compatible with PC, PS5 and XSX. My setup includes the CSL DD with the Mclaren V2 wheel, the clubsport shifter SQ V1.5 the CSL Elite V2 pedals. With my PS5, I basically just wanted to play GT7 in PSVR2 with the setup. So I bought the drive hub AND NACON Wired controller to go with it. With a PS4 you DON'T need to plug a 3rd party controller, you can just plug in the ps4 dualshock controller and it works fine. With a PS5 you need to plug in a secondary 3rd PARTY controller (hori mini wired controller is what everyone recommends). If you plug in a normal dualshock or dualsense controller, it'll only work for about 7-10mins before disconnecting everything. The Hori Mini Controller in my local area is stupidly expensive for some reason in my local area and I took a chance with the Nacon Wired Playstation controller for cheap. That works perfectly and the disconnects don't happen. I've played for 4 hours straigh with zero issues. THe CSL DD motor itself will have to be run in compatibility mode (yellow light). You probably also saw online that you have to run the WHEEL in 'Fana-Logic' mode (Mode 2 which simulates a Logitech G29 in GT7), otherwise the game 'slows down and loses frame'. THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE after you update teh drivehub. . You can run it in the MUCH BETTER 'Fanatec' (Mode 1 which simulates a CSL DD Pro Wheel). They fixed it with an update and now you can get the much better feedback that comes with 'Fanalogic' mode without losing time or performance. Conclusion the drivehub with a Nacon wired controlelr/Hori Mini Controller works PERFECTLY with a CSL DD on GT7 with a PS5 in fanalogic mode. I can't compare it to the FFB you'll get with a DD GT Pro, but for the difference in money, i'd say it's worth it. My setup with the CSL DD, mclaren wheel, pedals and shifter + drivehub/nacon controller will work with everything now (PC< PS5 and Series X). It was also MUCH cheaper than buying the GT DD Pro. For anyone reading, if you're thinking about taking the plunge, I say do it, especially if you can save a good chunk of change.

Hey which Fanatec wheel rim are you using? My GT DD Pro works with Drive Hub in Fanatec mode. Regarding your Heusinkveld pedals, I believe they have EEPROM chips in them so you should be able to calibrate them lighter/harder on PC for use with PlayStation then calibrate back when you race on PC.
Interresting…the Heusinkveld are on max breakpower. That is to low for GT7. So, i would sell these Paddels. does it work With the Fanatec v3? I Play only GT7. 😀
The original controllers can cause problems when they try to auto connect over Bluetooth when you plug them in via USB. The Horri controller have no Bluetooth, so don't have this issue.
@@HamVR I'm using the dd pro with the HE sprints, so I need drivehub. Anyway I fixed the issue, problem was that if you use the dd pro you have to connect it to the 2nd port (controller/wheel port) and not the 1st port so that you dont use the dd pros native compatibility. with that you can set the ddpro to the yellow pc mode and the game will recognize it, and then you can set it to fanatec or logitech mode. I found that fanatec mode also makes the ffb absolutely lifeless on top of the framerate drops.(this is on the latest beta 9 fw) It might be a problem related only to dd pros. fanalogic mode works really well for me though so I'll just stick with that until the problems are fixed

@@juzzzyb2611 Getting the same thing where the wheel (CSL DD with P1 V2) completely disconnects. Running 2.0.10 beta 6. Did you resolve the issue on your setup?
If you have updated to the latest beta firmware for drivehub, can you give an impression on how ffb feels now. A lot of info on the internet say you can’t feel the curbs? That doesn’t sound like ffb just a natural spring effect. Does the ffb work with drivehub now?
Hi yes the FFB feels pretty good with v2.0.8 and yes you can certainly feel the curbs. On some tracks like Nordschleife you can feel textures in the road. Brand Hatch felt less textured so I think the FFB varies track to track, car to car. It's not ACC level of FFB detail, but it's not bad.
@@HamVR hi How are you doing? I know it’s a bit too long ago off your review, just a couple of questions i hope can get the answers from you, how about the ffb for understeer and oversteer? Do you feel that a lot like what you should? And does it DriveHub output signal according to the wheel you connected to or just “fanatec” and “fanalogic” mode only?
Even after the V2.0.8 Beta 8 update i still have a problem with my V3 pedals. Not only do i have to kick the hell out the break pedals to get to 100% break power, but the break pedal is pushed 1% in at all times, there is no option in GT7 to adjust the sensitivity like in, as example, F1 2021. Is there a solution to this?
Are your V3s connected via the wheelbase? I know Lincoln Klay VR is using his V3 without issue on his DD1 and Drive Hub but he's still on the Firmware that it shipped with. You could try using a Clubsport USB adaptor and see if that's any better. In fact Lincoln might be using a Clubsport USB adaptor too.
@@HamVR @Ham VR No, i have it connected directly to the DriveHub via the accessoir USB port. It's really frustrating because in Fanalogic mode, there is no issue at all with the pedals but in Fanatec Mode there is the slight push on the pedals
@@robing8705 Did you get to the bottom of this? I've seen people with the V3 pedals and the CSL DD/GT DD Pro push the brake pedal slightly whilst powering it on, to calibrate their brake with the wheelbase. In terms of brake power, there is a brake force adjustment on the wheelbase settings menu.

My csl elite didn't work until I got the Nacon controller. I got the clear one with blue lights off Amazon.
@@wellselectric3221 can you drop a link for the controller?
Btw are the settings for the 5nm or the 8nm one. Thanks.
hi i just set mine up with the csl dd, i noticed the wheel shakes when the car is not movng and also when i'm on the straights. Any advice on how to fix this. Also on the controller config mode it shows a g29 wheel is that normal? thanks
On the McLaren wheel rim do you know what buttons I have to press to switch modes on the drive hub?
Does this work with F1?
Why do you run your wheelbase in CSW compatibility mode? I have it in PC Mode and drivehub in Fanatec mode and there are no issues with slowing down or anything.
On the standard firmware that my Drive Hub shipped with it would only run work with CSW compatibility mode. It could the latest firmware now has PC mode support?
@@HamVR Probably, I just updated to the latest Firmware
i was running Beta 2.08 8 with the hori pad with no problems until yesterday now the wheel loses connection to the ps5 after about 20 mins or so :( tried updating to 9 beta same result i wonder if Sony have done something to stop us using the CSL DD
That's strange, mine was working fine yesterday on Beta 8.
@@HamVR I cant understand what was going off either mate, as i say it was more or less faultless for the last week or so, then yesterday out of the blue it would turn full lock then just stop responding, until I restart the ps5 & wheel then 20 mins of it working ok only for it to do the same thing, updated to beta 9 same thing so went back to beta 8 & it seems ok but not really had much chance to test it for any length of time today, I suffer with really bad hands due to an accident where I severed the tendons in my hand many years ago, so when it did it man was it painful so its rather spoiling the experience for me which is a great pity 😒
@@musicmate70 Is still an issue for you? I just updated to beta 9 and felt good. It was the first time I was able to use my CSL DD in Fanatec mode. I'm going to try to play longer than 20 minutes and see if that happens to me.
Just played for about an hour. No issues at all with the beta 9 firmware and the latest PS5 update.
@@thesimpat I have tried beta 9 twice with the same result mate so have just stuck with beta 8 thankfully no problems the last week or so fingers crossed
How do you turn it to fanetec mode on the csl dd
Good day gentelmans...
Can you answer me can i connect Drivehub with PC Fanatec base and steering wheel with Thrustmaster Tlcm pedals and Th8a shifter and playing on Playstation 5 and XBox Series X?
Thank you...
Will this combination of Fanatec and drivehub work on PS3 and it's racing games?4
I seem to not be able to use the pedals I use a csl dd and it recognizes the wheel but nothing is happening with the pedals. Am I missing something??
I'm using CSL pedals plugged directly into the wheelbase. Which pedals are you using and how are they wired in?
@@HamVR I'm using the v3 pedals directly connected to the wheelbase and I have the wheel in fanatec mode
Can you use the stock wheel that comes with the CSL DD Ready to Race bundle?
I still use a Logitech G29 atm, could I use drivehub on my PS5 to use my new csl pedals with my G29 wheel?
According to the Drive Hub documenation you can. You will need a Clubsport USB adaptor for your pedals though.
@@HamVRI don't need the clubsport adapter cause I have the loadcell kit which allows you to plug your pedals through usb
I try but the pedals don’t work
Will this work with the Xbox hub on the PS5+Drivehub+controller?
@Ham VR Hello! I want to ask if with this hub I can use the thrustmaster T-Lcm pedals along with the thrustmaster shifter using only the ps5 fanatec base? My idea is if this works correctly to save on buying a fanatek shifter and pedals.
Is there any other device that can be bought other then a drivehub to work on ps5???? There limited on pedals i got the asetek invicta pedals and there not able to be used on drivehub. Be nice if drivehub would update there software and put more pedals on the list of compatibility since so many nice sets are out now
I have the Gran Turismo Wheel / CSL DD Package. I have the drivehub. Can i play on Xbox? I want to play forza.
Some other guy on youtube showed it working successfully in a video. I cant get it to work. The Xbox just doesn't see the wheel. Any ideas? I have the latest 2.0.8-8 firmware.
I'm using a g920 on PS4 for gt7 and the steering wheel rocks from side to side unless I'm holding it quite tight. Any solutions?
Any idea if this would work with another direct drive wheel? Like a VRS ?
I believe it is possible if you use an additional GIMX adaptor with your PC which lets you emulate another wheel (e.g. G29) that is supported by Drive Hub

Hi. I use the Fanatec DD Pro Official for PlayStation and the Heusinkveld Sprint Pedals. I Can‘t Switch into the Fanatec Mode. I use the Right Buttons. Firmware is the newest Beta for Drive Hub. I think i do nothing wrong. It doesnt work…
In Fanalab Mode it works, but the break Pedal simulate Not the correct breakpower. I think there are 10 Kilo to push Full. Any idea?
Hey which Fanatec wheel rim are you using? My GT DD Pro works with Drive Hub in Fanatec mode. Regarding your Heusinkveld pedals, I believe they have EEPROM chips in them so you should be able to calibrate them lighter/harder on PC for use with PlayStation then calibrate back when you race on PC.
I use the Original Wheel, i have bought the Grand Turismo 7 Bundle.
Interresting…the Heusinkveld are on max breakpower. That is to low for GT7. So, i would sell these Paddels. does it work With the Fanatec v3?
I Play only GT7. 😀
Hi. I have contact the Support Drive Hub. I will tell you what they say…thanks
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
what's the purpose of the hori controller? can't i just use the ps4 controller that comes with the ps4?
The original controllers can cause problems when they try to auto connect over Bluetooth when you plug them in via USB. The Horri controller have no Bluetooth, so don't have this issue.
@@HamVR allright thanks for the answer!
changing modes doesnt seem to work on the dd pro. When I press and hold the start and share buttons nothing shows up on the wheel rim.
If you are using a GT DD Pro you don't need drive hub? If you are on a CSL DD what wheel rim are you using?
@@Karsius1 That's interesting. Do you still need a PlayStation Controller plugged into Drive Hub if you have an official wheel base plugged in? I also wonder what happens if you put your GT DD Pro (in PlayStation mode) and the HE Sprints into a standard USB hub and then the USB hub to the PlayStation, if that works. I guessing it probably doesn't but worth a punt.
@@HamVR if you have the base plugged into the first port(the one labelled controller) and set the base to ps4 compatibility mode, then you dont need any controller plugged in, but like I said you get constant framerate drops plus the ffb is pretty much non existent. with the base and the pedals plugged into a usb hub, the ddpro is recognized by the ps5 but the pedals arent
I can't switch between fanalogic and fanatec mode. When I hold the two buttons down it just disconnects the usb
Hmm it should disconnect then reconnect. Which version of the Firmware are you using? Maybe update that if you are on an old build.

Even on the beta builds it was doing the same.

@hamvr has the game slowing been fixed yet?
With the later firmware released after this video, yes.
@HamVR thx for the quick response man
Hi! Can I use th8a shifter, g29 and pa5 with this drivehub?
Yes mate
Does this work for other games as well?
Yes it does
If you have updated to the latest beta firmware for drivehub, can you give an impression on how ffb feels now.
@@HamVR thank you, I’ve placed an order. I’m excited to get the drivehub, it’s all good playing with controller but after awhile it gets dull.
@@HamVR Yes, i was able to adjust the MIN and MAX break power on the PC. I had to switch to manual to adjust this, the automatic setting with a percentage adjustment doesn't work via the drivehub atleast.
If anyone hasn't figured it out yet, you can now set deadzones in GT7. That should

Hello Pal
How do you make dd2 go in to 2.5 compatibility mode please?

Hi, according to the manual it varies depending which wheel rim you using. You need to locate the user guide for the wheel rim you are using. There's PDF user guide on the Fanatec website for each wheel rim.

Could you do a new updated video ? This and your other video on drivehub are out of date and are actually quite inaccurate and misleading.
Not worth it. Especially when you rather use ps5 controller.
Hahahha what a stupid comment
Nah, I played the quite a bit with dualsense, and while it’s good, I went back to acc on pc. I ordered the drivehub so I can use my wheel and pedals for gt7. Nothing beats actually steering into a corner.
Theres a reason why people can spend £3-4k+ on sim rigs for racing games, because its in a completely different league to controller, imagine listening to acdc on the radio. But then your watching them live front row.
