John was a gem. These videos still posting are absolute GOLD, and a fitting tribute to John Meadows and the legion of fans he deservedly cultivated over the years.
It was a great loss,he was awesome.
Why are you saying he 'was'? Im afraid to ask what happened here?
@@crimsonpirate1710 He died
how did he die?
@@christopher1423 Heart attack, he had a genetic disorder
I’ve learned so much from John his training techniques are very helpful and I just love how he explains everything about everything. He has been truly missed
I, Sebsibie Cherikos - Ethiopian , truly felt sad when i read of his passing away. My the Almighty Lord rest your soul in peace and visit your family with His abundant blessings - health, love, and wealth.
Great human being always giving practical advice. John is missed. Merry Christmas to the Meadow family.
Those partials help with intensity in my workouts so much! All thanks to John! I do partials in almost every set of muscle group. It pains but it works!!! R.I.P John, you have helped me so much!
These really do work and I learned it from him, you are a legend. May your family have a wonderful happy holidays, love ya John. 🤘🖤
@jose umada miss this guy
@chase nicholson Same here brother!
Been doing these since I was John doing them in a video about a year ago. Thanks. Blessings to his family.
@Metal Maineiac Hell yeah brother, no problem, he is a big inspiration to me, be safe and happy holidays brother! 🤘🖤
Miss you man.
This is John - he always cut through the nonsense and gave us the real deal. This is the "easy" way to work rear delts and - ouch - it works well! Merry Christmas to John's family and I know John is enjoying coaching some angels on their workouts.
He's still with us, in our hearts. He taught many people so much about their lifting. An amazing bloke. We miss you John.
Still great to see this channel upload
I did his leg day routine with Ivana and it was absolutely good. I usually do 7-8 workouts but for a change I followed his leg day video which consist of 5 workouts and the burn was amazing. It was very satisfying. I think everyone should try his workouts. Also whoever run this channel thank you for consistently uploading these videos. RIP John!
I have to watch that one right now to see what you went through. :)
These work. Miss this man. He said in a video do 10lbs for 60 reps. I do 3 to 4 sets of these an they work
I had problems with my shoulders most of my adult life. John’s advice on how to fix problem shoulders changed my life.
Same here. What specifically advice did John recommend?
One of the best to ever do it man. No complications, straight to the point, and super helpful! RIP
I miss this genius of a gentleman. He has helped me with form and workouts over the years! Keep the uploads coming!
John still is the greatest. Thank you for continuing to post content. May he rest in peace
Love this move and the idea of partials after failure. Been adding them wherever I can and that burn is glorious!
So much I want to say. First I was born the same year as John, since I was 16 hitting gyms. One thing I learned was to observe. See what others are doing and know there is always more to learn. Last year I started doing these to start off delt work thanks to John. There is a list of things that "experts" say do not work suddenly. Yet they forget we all have different bodies and you need to work what gives your body the best results. For example, I get better side lat results when I lean a bit forward, not much but some. A noticeable difference for me than if I did it standing straight. Yeah, sometimes we get lazy and lose our form. If you see something new or different try it and see which results are better. Experimentation is a part of building a body. John, man, he was rare for this industry these days. Guys today you see and think, yup, he only got big because of a needle, but John, he knew the body, he was intelligent and he stayed humble. He was always just John sharing a new way to do something.
I just feel very good about myself after watching him share his wisdom. Thank you, sleep well.
John's advice and guidance continues to be the main part of my exercise selection, programming, and technique. The immense value of the knowledge and experience he shared cannot be overstated!
I pray the Meadows Family has a Merry Christmas 🎄 🎁❤ Crazy to see that John had so many videos that you all can still use for regular content.
Love Bent Over Rear Delt Raises👌🏼 Partials work each and every time💯
I believe if anyone from the Meadows family decides to step up and start making guest appearances on the channel, it will help you all out with being able to put out more content.
I'm sure the viewers won't mind.
I know John taught all of you very well💪🏼
Thanks for keeping the channel alive and God Bless🫂🙏🏼❤
Aunt Mary, Alexander, and Jonathan... I just wanted to wish you guys a Merry Christmas 🎄 (and a happy and healthy 2023)
I’ve learned so much from this guy and it has all been after he passed away. What a legacy. Clearly a tough guy but very kind as well.
Teaching par excellence. Thank you to the Meadows family for continuing John’s teaching legacy. Stay blessed 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I've learned so many things from this man, through his videos. He was the best.
I watch these videos with a lot of enjoyment but also great sadness. John was a great man taken far too soon. I don't know for sure but I would hope that his family okayed the continuation of these posts because they know how much they mean to so many. Much love to those family members who miss him most of all.
Really miss this man, didn’t know him personally but enjoyed his videos weekly, Happy Holiday!🎄🥂
Great workout videos. You're really good at explaining things.
It's cool that videos keep being released on his channel.
I think they reuploaded the video. I have seen this in this channel.
Too bad he's gone. His videos are always a treasure trove of useful, no BS information.
I still genuinely miss this fella. Bless you John.
John,,,you're always here with us,,,,thanks for the rear-delt instruction..
Rest in peace and merry Christmas, John. The world is still not the same without you and this hole in my heart remains unfilled.
Unfortunately many people in the fitness space will slowly disappear in memory when they pass just like in any other facet. But Meadows will be one of the few that remain in memory not because of his impressive knowledge or physique but how genuinely personable he was. Thanks for these videos.
Thank you. Love to see him still.
Miss this guys posts so much. It’s good to see them re posted. RIP LEGEND
Thank you so much for keeping his channel going. What a blessing. God bless you and your family.
Miss John his videos are a godsend. Thank you for the progress John.
R.I.P Mountaindog
A true bodybuilding genius
I have learned a lot from you brother
RIP JOHN MEADOWS. LEGEND OF THE GAME. NO BULLSHIT. NO CALLING ANYONE OUT, JUST PURE MUSCLE BUILDING TECHNIQUES!!!...
Markus Rühl is famous for his big rear delts he build throu rear delt raises. People with arms like a carrot are telling us how to train nowadays.
I'am glad that we have mountaindog. 💪
also infamous for injecting synthol into those delts.............
I’ve made huge steps forward because of John…RIP to the mountain dog 💪🏼
That info is bang on. Miss him
Your still and will always be a great help to all of us John thank you.
Sound, simple advice from John. Always appreciated his take on things.
Theres a version that learned with shoulder pt exercises. You make your hands supinated and pull them back instead out to your side. Part of this "brachiating" technique taught by a orthopedic surgeon. $10 book
Merry Christmas and all my love to johns family!!!!
John blended what I guess would be labeled "bro science" (although that's an injustice) with logic and science.
Some guys are overly scientific, without the results to back it. Others spit pure bro science nonsense. "Science says that such and such is actually horrible for training chest!". "Bro just do benchpress every day if plateued". You know, those sides of the coin.
As he says, we outsmart ourselves. Too many writers (cough...T-Nation these days) like that.
John was a different kind. He was like a combat veteran with multiple tours. An experienced veteran of the game who had so much knowledge and insight to pass down. A great teacher, so many of his tips and methods changed the way I train with immense results and benefit.
You are missed immensely!
For anecdotal evidence: I did these on my shoulder days for a solid year and went from having NO rear delts to a respectable rounded shoulder delt that makes my shoulders look far more defined and rounded. Even got a compliment about them from a girl that goes to my gym and I say that as someone who very rarely gets female attention.
Dropped all the other meme workouts for rear delts and really focused on doing these properly and it paid off A LOT. For reference on shoulders I do 3 sets of these and drop set until burnout. Then face pulls or seated rows.
yea bro the upper back area adds so much mass makes u look huge
46 and somewhat of a newbe at this (bodybuilding)
but i’ve been doing john’s teachings sinds i started and science has a lot to teach …but if it comes to muscle (building) john is the way to go , oldschool never fails and science is a nice addition to it ….
When I think of shoulder training, the tips I got from John on this channel always come to mind first
The partial king 👑 and it definitely works..thanks for the knowledge and R I P 🙏🏾
My rear delt definition greatly improved when I added rear delt raises to my routine.
Miss this guys insight 😔
RIP John ❤
Just the advice I needed. Rest in power, John.
Forever a legend to the community.
no nonsense and gets right to the point. Rear deltoids do lateral external abduction of the shoulder so if you do that action guess what..
all the best john, merry xmas 🎄
Miss you John!
My shoulder routine:
1. Seated military press
2. Lateral raises dumbell
3. Dumbell press seated
4. Press behind neck barbell
5. Bent over reverse fly
(4 sets each exercise 12 to 6 reps)
Excessive
U want a cookie? :D

John just the nicest man ive ever met
Super informative! Thanks!!😎👍🏻💪🏻
Merry Christmas to the Meadows family, God bless you and John 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
Always learnig from him!
I can confirm this man told the truth here. If you follow this advice, your rear delts will scream and threaten to jump off your shoulders.
Anytime I see John.. vid goes automatically like
John 🥇
Thanks again john.
Great exercise
I'm fine with having my traps involved a bit makes for good development and tie-in
I'm a new sub, love your channel
I use really light weights for this one. I can go with good form until around 15-17 reps with the pronated grip, so then I do partial reps until I physically can't anymore. That gives me a good 25-30 reps. That burn is the best feeling.
Great video thanks
The thing is I’ve never seen anyone say they don’t work… however I HAVE seen people say there are better ways to work the rear delts that make these unnecessary.
And they’re not wrong…
But I’m with John… if you like em😊 - do em
Merry Christmas to everyone! Let's get these muscle gains for 2023!
I miss mountaindog everytime I see his videos... It's so nice that we have enough content even after he's passed...
Thanks big 🐕
Thank you for this
I want to wish a Merry Christmas to
John Meadows family and friends
Miss you brother!
Thank you John, still the best!
Thank you for the uploads.
that hinge is key here i still sometimes habitually want to pull
The good Lord clearly needed a personal trainer. And a man to have an intelligent conversation with 👍
Happy xmas to John's family
Love all your help and miss you very much
A true gentleman he is missed. My best to his family during this time
I love to do these as finishers for a lot of sets! 10 sets. but really short rest.
Man I really miss this guy…. No ego, just great instruction…
Merry Christmas up in heaven john catch you down the road 💪
Thanks John!
R.I.P John👍🏿💪🏿🔥
I honestly like performing this on a incline bench with bands I feel it more plus it's safer on my shoulders
I swear I had zero rear delta until I started doing the heavy partials like you recommend. And now when I do the regular stuff like face pulls and rev pec deck I can feel them on the rear delts.
Still can't believe he's gone. 😢
Great advice. These absolutely worked for me. Does anybody know if these are also good for strengthening the rotator cuff?
Simple straightforward 👍
Merry Christmas to the Meadow family!
RIP king 🤴
May he lift in peace.
I choose to believe that John meadows is still alive and still filming and posting videos as if nothing ever happened...
