Triceps have always been my weak point. Until i discovered your videos i could never get a good burn due to either elbow pain or inefficient workouts. Thanks to your tips ive been seeing massive growth. Best trainer on youtube by far.
I only recently heard of this man and watched his content. WHAT A SHAME and LOSS that he is gone. Such a nice, smart person and effective teacher. Really sad.
@@slatermauro2092 i think so, i just keep the cables high but still bend over and that works fine aswell, as long as you have both ropes for that extra range so you can get your arms behind you
I also love the sponge grip push downs. They feel great. Do you guys recommend close grip bench press if you already did a “tough” push workout with incline dumbbell and weighted dips. Would you recommend doing some intense cable rope or Tate press, kick backs with intensity only or do you usually put a close grip bench in there usually? Thanks
I just learned that John passed I am so sorry to hear that I have been a fan here on UA-cam for some time. John explains everything very well demonstrates things so that we can learn. I hope these videos will still play for other people to watch.👍💪
Damm dude! I honestly just discovered this guy and really liked how he gave out advice and tips on small adjustments!! MAN THIS BLOWS BIG TIME!! RIP buddy!
Rest In Peace man. I take a lot of his advice for my workouts and he was definitely a legitimate authority on how to build our bodies the right way. Keep lifting those weights man. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I love that cramp I get with those rope pushdowns when I really lock my shoulders back - kind of like combining a pushdown with a kick-back. It's a rare workout I don't use at least 1 Meadows technique.
Also the years of lifting actually increases the density of the muscles, so yeah, Mr. Meadows has tons of experience, which also ads to the ''look'' on his muscles.
Solid advice -- start with stretching/push down exercises that activate the inside long head and then move on to the skull crushers and behind neck extensions. You are an amazing teacher, John. Thanks for the well-crafted content.
What a great person Jhon was/is . WHile all the other training always are attacking the ways other do excercies . He simple explaing you every movement, without have to attack any other youtubre .
Out of all the damn videos, and all the influencers i have followed so far, this was the most helpful and informative triceps video i have ever seen. Respect, RIP king 👑
i like SEVERAL warm up sets with several different machine movements and angles then 1 or 2 "meat and tater" exercises depending on the day, then i like to finish with a really deep stretch movement, like a behind the head 1 arm extension and really letting the weight dip down as deep as possible
Thank you for bringing your knowledge of training into the fitness community. We will all continue to teach what you preached to us and pass it to the younger generation ahead. We miss you John ❤️ until next time.

Thanks, John. Even when I competed I never have been able to build my medial heads. Can't wait to try your tips. Thanks for all the help you provide, John.
Yep love pin presses. Close grip bench and overhead triceps extension. Underhand tricep push downs at cable is good too! So many ways to impact those triceps!
Speaking of elbow pain, my elbow on the side are in pain due to I pulled a muscle in my upper back when I did kneeling lat pulldown last week. My back is fine now but my elbow is still slightly hurting. The more I got beat up at the gym, the more I enjoy these kind of videos focusing on avoiding injury in the long term. Thanks, John.
Advices are good and communicated with a easy-to-understand language. Some youtubers im just offff what the hell did they even say? so much weird, complex words... But this video, this channel, it's real good. Best regards from Norway
Tip #1 is definitely something I wish I learned earlier! I've been powerlifting since 2002 and I have a clicky elbow already, skull crushers are basically a no-go for me at all. Recently I've done more hypertrophy based work with skullcrushers as the final triceps exercise. I think that's the only way I can train them now, pre-fatiguing them.
OK, Coach John ... been working the upper body with the '3 Tips' series; chest, bi's and now tri's .. love these. Time to move to those quads. Gotta build that base.
You know what is more interesting and compelling than lifting and learning how to lift better? John Meadows himself. It appears he remained positive until the end, that's the way to "go out." We will all die, whether now or in 50 years, but how did you live your life? Crying, moaning and complaining that things are not fair or be positive and affect change in your life, no matter if it is small or large, it doesn't matter. Be a Mountain! Be Positive! Be Honest! Have Integrity! Work hard, but also work smart.
I love how much wealth of knowledge John had to share - a true legend. I learn something new every week when I do some research the day before hitting the gym.
Note for self: 1, Do elbow-threatening exercises last 2, More time on long head, max stretch 3, Floor bench press for medial, come up and flex at time.
