Orthonormal basis in a function space.

The set of exponential functions {exp(i*n*t)} (n = 0, ±1, ±2, ...) makes an orthonormal basis of a collection of functions with a period of 2π. That set of functions can be regarded as a vector space with infinite dimensions. We can also define orthogonal projections in this space.
