    This video was really good because of the instructor! Usually wilton videos are very mundane and boring because the instructors don't bring any fun or creative ways for explanation...good job!

    Hi Emily, i loved your easy-to-follow tutorial of the Stargazer Lily. It was well-received. Thank you and the staff at Wilton very much. Will you be doing any tutorials of the Bird/s of Paradise, Hibiscus, Anthurium or Woodgrain effects. If you have already posted, please disregard my question. Thanks again.

    I didn't understand what you inserted into the flower spike, is that something we buy- - how ? - or we make ourselves - how? I'm in USA for a few weeks and I am planning to buy some items here. Thank you very much. I loved your explanation .

    • @wilton
      @wilton  7 років тому

      Hi Wilma, I used some fondant into the spike. You can also use gum paste. Thanks for your feedback and thanks for watching! - Emily

    I like your personality. It's cute. Maybe instead of cutting on the mat, I teach my students to take the gum paste off the may so there is less of a chance for the petal to test. Then I have them off-center the cutter and continue. Just to eleviate any misjudgement of where the flat may be

    When adding more flowers to a cake like the one with the Tiger Lilies, do you use one flower spike for each flower or do you put multiple flowers in one spike?

    • @katerilevasseur
      @katerilevasseur 7 років тому +1

      2amescapade 1 spike for muliple flowers!

    • @wilton
      @wilton  7 років тому

      Yes, you can wire and tape multiple flowers together into a spray and then insert into the spike, or just put multiple flowers in there. If they need to be spaced out more, I would use multiple spikes or even just a straw. You just want to keep the cake separated from the wire. ~Emily

    Why cant i find wiltons petal dust? I cant find any brand in stores anymore. I see shimmer dust sometimes but not the petal dust. Used to get all colors at walmart.

    • @wilton
      @wilton  Рік тому

      Hi Marikie, are you looking for our pearl dust? You can find that on our website: wilton.com/search/?nav-user-quick-search=pearl+dust If you notice that any of our retailers are no longer carrying our products, we suggest reaching out to their customer service department and asking them to restock your requested product.

    • @marikiemarie7622
      @marikiemarie7622 Рік тому

      @Wilton hello! I'm looking for petal dust only. Matte finish. It's not on wiltons website either. Only pearl or luster dust. I'm only needing matte petal dust that I've used for years. It's not carried anywhere.

    • @wilton
      @wilton  Рік тому

      We used to have some matte Color Dust colors, but they have unfortunately been discontinued. We still have brown available on our website: wilton.com/brown-color-dust-0-05-oz/191007743/ and other specialty cake retailers might have other colors available. We will let the product team know you miss them though.

    If my petals are cracking at the edges, is the gumpaste too dry?

    • @wilton
      @wilton  7 років тому

      Hello Sybille! It does sound like your gum paste is a bit too dry. You can try adding some shortening, if that doesn't do the trick, you may just need some fresh gum paste. Do your best to keep the gum paste nice and sealed up, with a little coating of shortening to help keep it fresh!

    your guide rings weren't within the area of your impression mat, and so they didn't actually do anything for you...

    • @Emikins2002

      Hi! In the editing, they cut when I rolled forward and back (not just side to side) where the rings were on the mat ;)
