Sugar Glue / Edible Glue Recipe
*Clean Container for storing the glue
¼ tsp CMC or Tylose powder
1/3 cup of boiled water (that has cooled slightly)
This recipe is for a small quantity to get you started if you need more, just double the recipe. Take a clean container, add 1/4 tsp of CMC or Tylose powder, then add 1/3 cup of boiled water (that has cooled slightly), pour the water over the CMC or Tylose powder give it a stir or a shake. Leave it overnight or for at least for 4 hours until cooled to room temperature. It may look cloudy at first, with lumps, but don’t worry about this, the lumps will dissolve, and you will be left with a clear solution, that can be used on any edible creation. Once made up, it must be stored in the fridge and can be kept for up to 1 month.

Your work is positively breathtaking!
This is really creative
THAT WAS SO INSPIRATIONAL TO WATCH YOU MAKE THE MAGNOLIA. I HAVE NEVER SEEN YOUR METHOD OF WRAPPING THE TAPE IN BETWEEN THE TWO STEMS. MUST TRY THAT WHEN I ATTEMPT TO MAKE ONE. I WILL CERTAINLY BE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS AGAIN.
Ah, thank you so much for your lovely comment❤️ I tend to wrap in between the stem & leaves when I make tree flowers, it adds to the texture of the tree bark. Sometimes I also do this technique, depending on how heavy the flowers or leaves are. Just make sure you blend in the where the tape sits in between with your finger nail or veining tool. I would love to see your Magnolia flower, if you make it and are happy to share it with me🥰🤗

Weldon ma , I appreciate your work ad much as I love it , please can this flower be made with cold porcelain or with other paste without sugar
It can definitely be made in cold porcelain. Not sure about air drying clay or other paste, since I have never tried it. I suggest you experiment and see what works🌸🤗
❤👏👏👏👏👏👏

Love your work I'll like to know more from you ,very beautiful and neat but please apart from sugar paste ,can any other paste good for this magnolia flower
Thank you for your lovely comment. You could use Cold Porcelain - which I have tried. Or flexible sugar paste. Or maybe air drying clay, I have never tried this. I would suggest you experiment if you want to try to make this flower or other flowers in other types of paste. I hope this helps🌸🤗

How do you attach it onto the cake?
Thank you for your question. If you flowers have been made on wooden skewers this is fine to be insert directly into a cake. If your flowers have ben made on floral wire, to attach it to a cake, you would need to use a straw - either a regular or bubble tea straw, a plastic flower pick or a cheaper alternative cover the end to be inserted into the cake with either plastic wrap or foil before inserting flowers into the area you want your sugar flower(s)/flower arrangement to be. I would never place the covered wires directly into a cake for hygienic and safety reasons. This is the same process you would use for inserting fresh flowers into a cake. I hope this helps🤗❤
