I made it in my Kitchen Aid mixer. Turned out very well and no mess.
shottesse hello...kindly l want to know the steps one by one if u don't mind ....
Did you use the paddle attachment?
I like this recipe! I like that you don't add extra shortening. Only the shortening to knead it! Thank you!
That's so easy! and the mess wasn't even very bad. I let my kids help knead it and they loved it!
I have never made this fondant. I believe that this Sunday I will do, taking advantage of the fact that it is Father's Day in Venezuela. Thank you for the recipe.
Hey Joelmar! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video, I hope it went well! :) - Julianna
I'm sorry but her way is too messy! I make marshmallow fondant all the time and don't have that much trouble. I recommend:
1. Grease your bowl with shortening before adding marshmallows as well as to your spatula to keep from sticking.
2. I add 3 tablespoons of water but after I have melted all the marshmallows. Once they are melted you stir in the water and add to a bowl filled with half the powdered sugar needed. When you add the water after the melted marshmallows literally fall right out of the bowl and into the other with no sticky mess.
3. Add a 1/2 cup shortening to the mix and some on your hands and kneed all ingredients together.
4. Once ingredients have been needed together grease your table with shortening and your hands again and add the rest of the powdered sugar to the table with your fondant and continue kneading until it becomes like a playdough consistancy. 😀
Hi Suzanne! It did turn out a little messy, but it was so much fun and worked out well! Thanks for the suggestions - those sound like they can be really helpful, I'll have to try them next time :) - Julianna
Do you have a written recipe and steps for your method ? Would love to try one that is less messy :)
Suzanne Cadena I don't have shortening what do I do?
Suzanne Cadena good recipe
Joe DOE flour
Julianna, thanks for the fun and easy way to make fondant. I love this video. Looks like you were really enjoying yourself, too!
Thank you so much! It can be really fun making a mess sometime :) - Julianna
actually this video Is so useful ,we can use this fondant for cakes instead of using chemical made fondant
Super easy and way less messy way to make this is to use a stand mixer! I've made marshmallow fondant this way using the dough hook attachment (the hook and bowl must both be greased up), and it's a cinch.
Thanks Isheeta! What a great tip!
I've personally made this type before and it handles beautifully.
This looks amazing gonna make it for sure! Well done Julianna

Looked like so much fun! Awesome job, Julianna!
Thanks Nina! It was really fun to make! - Julianna
Puns ARE the best kind of jokes! lol. I love the taste of marshmallow fondant more than traditional. And I usually have the items to make it at all times
Hello this is amazing recipe thanks for sharing! However if the fondant gets old after few days it looses its Elasticity. How to fix that? Please! Sometimes I do add shorting, it makes it moist n pliable but not elastic.
Hello! Your fondant should last about two weeks. This blog has some tips for storage and freshness that should help: blog.wilton.com/how-to-store-fondant/
Great job, Julianna!! You made this look so fun, I was smiling the whole time! And great job with the cleanup of the sticky situation! :)
Thank you Desiree, that makes me so happy to hear! - Julianna

I'm glad you enjoyed it! :) - Julianna
!! Excellent !!
Thanks for sharing 💕💕
Hi..I wanted to know what can I use to wrap the fondant if I don't have plastic wrap?
Hi thanks for the video. I think I put powder sugar. It's really thick. It's there any way I can lessen the thickness a bit?. I have it in my fridge now
Nice work!
I like julianna! I've never seen her on the channel before but she should be on more!
I'm confused. why 8 cups of icing sugar when you don't use all of it? You stated using "3/4" of it, which is 6 cups.
You incorporate the last 1/4 when you kneed it on the counter
Hi Michael! The amount of powdered sugar that you will use can vary greatly on the climate you are in! You can keep adding the last 1/4 of powdered sugar until you have the amount or the texture that you need. This recipe (with all 8 cups) creates about 2 lbs. of fondant. Thanks for asking! - Julianna
Can it be made in a standup mixer
For this recipe, we recommend mixing by hand as shown!
How much flavor would you add?
Hi im cris from Philippines im a master baker and i want to try this pls maam can you send me an ingredients and measurements about marshmallow fondant??
Hi, Cris! Here's a link to the recipe: bit.ly/2sjwrgA Happy baking!
Ok, so my question is. Do you sift then measure the sugar or measure out 8 cups and then sift?
Can I use a mixing bowl
Can you toast this?
this is was really nice but can u make fondant without marshmallow's
Going to have to give this a try! Question though? The recipe calls for 2lbs powdered sugar, but it didn't look like you used it all. Did I miss something? Thanks!

Wilton Thank you for responding back, very much will give is a try! Might even try it with a bag of multicolor mini marshmallows.
🍯 I had too much fun watching this! 😂 I am not a fan of fondant though so I was nervous. Does this taste better than fondant?
I love the taste of it! It's a little sweeter than traditional fondant and you can add any additional flavoring you'd like! - Julianna
Wilton Thanks!!
ITS FONDANT🤣
Could I use this to cut out shapes or make lil figures for cakes( like ... disney characters and stuff) ?
Sure thing! :) - Julianna
When she said mom I need some help,
My mom came downstairs saying "OMG WHAT HAPPENED?!?!"
Lol
😂
s a r a h l o l a 🤣
I used to do this all the time I called it taffy I thought it was my own secret recipe 😂 oh 🐳.
Bri333cheese Lol
What can I use other than shortening
_cieranjoy_ nothing is a substitution. Don't use flour as it will stick
but when I take it out the microwave I don't like yours but when I stir It up it didn't work
Can we use normal suger
We would not recommend substituting the powdered sugar in this recipe
If I want one entire batch of brown fondant with chocolate flavour, can I just add some cocoa powder mixed with the powdered sugar?
Crema Llera I have seen people do it like that before. Just try looking it up.
how can I melt marshmallows without using a microwave?
You can't. Using an oven would burn them, so I highly recommend using a microwave as it won't burn them. Use small marshmallows as big marshmallows WILL EXPAND
What size of a cake will this cover? I'm making a 9" square cake and also need reserves for fondant decor (small stars, birthday kids name, 2 lightsabers, and 2 logos)
I love marshmallows would die it pink good job though that mess was probable hard to. clean up you did a good job though
If you don't have microwave what's the other way?
dave De la Cruz- a bowl over a pot of hot water- melts slowly.
Can i use all purpose floor if theres no powder sugar left?
(16 ounces) of marshmallow what is't mean by.g ??
Ok so I’m lost, if she added 3/4cup of the 8 cup powdered sugar, then do we use all 8 cups because it seems she only added 3/4cup!!! This needs to be more closer!
*clear not closer
She added 3/4 of the total sugar, not 3/4 cup. So that'd be 6 cups.
but good video
This channel is too easy
Wait...so why did we need so much powdered sugar if it's not going into the fondant? That didn't look like 8 cups was added.

You know what i dont get....when people put the ingredient in a bowl and say to "add ______ into a bowl" which goes into a bigger bowl. Why not just add the marshmallows to the BIGGER bowl to begin with! My OCD kicks in seeing people do this! Lol
hi
Does normal sugar work
Why do you need 8 cups of powdered sugar sifted, if you aren't going to use it all? She only uses like 6 cups, if that. She says 3/4, but if you look what she dumps in and what is left, not sure she even used the 6 cups.

thank you for explaining
This is basically edible slime
Oh, 4 ingredients? Sounds easy. Except for the part where the fondant is sticky and you have to keep folding it! xP
It's so easy! And that's the best part - so much fun! :P - Julianna
You didn't show the The consistency that it should be and you really didn't show about how much sugar you used from your 8 cups because I thought a lot left in the bowl. You played with it not really showing us much.
Why would you ever use shortening instead of butter? I kinda hate that wilton always uses shortening. It's so gross
Hey Jeremy! We tend to use shortening in our projects to keep them a bright white color instead of having a yellowish hue, thanks for asking! :) - Julianna
She puts me right off with all that mess!

Hi, can I use gloves?
The sticky part makes me 😨😨😨, LOL
Hey Jenett! Yes you can definitely use food safe gloves! You will still have to grease them up a bit, but it will sure make clean up easier! - Julianna
