Im 66 years old and did RAD ballet for years as I got older to revert to gym classes, yoga, pilates etc but nothing really excites me more than ballet. Your classes have made me realise that I can still do barre at my age and loving it. So a big thanks to you.
I used to do ballet when I was young, but because of circumstances, I had to stop. I hopped across many hobbies but none stood out to me as ballet did. Now because of this quarantine I came across your channel and it reignited my love for ballet. I'll definitely take adult classes once I graduate college, but I want to say thank you for having these lessons for free, especially this lockdown. ♥️
It is delightful to read your posts! The same has happened to me... I danced for 13y and I haven’t been dancing for 17 y.... Thanl you all for sharing and THANK YOU KATHRYN for your generosity!
I used some of your combinations as inspiration for my video ballet audition ❤️❤️ I’ll update if I get in Edit: I GOT IN!!!! Omg I'm so excited!! It's a summer intensive for four weeks!!
Ms Morgan, you have made an old lady very happy today! I used to be a ballet dancer up until an injury retired me when I was around 40, have always loved it and have MISSED IT so much (my bedroom is still decorated in ballet themes, as it has been since I was a preteen lol). I decided to give this a try. I no longer have ambitions to do pirouettes or grand jete, just even being able to do some barre, albeit a bit modified for my old bones, made me cry happy tears! Side note: barre work hasn't changed much in the past 40 years lol! Once I started seeing them, I remembered them right away! Thank you so much, will continue to work at the barre using your videos!
Hi, thanks to our lovely ballerina, I have learned a lot from her. I am also 66 years old, and not too old for ballet. I REALLY ENJOY DANCING WITH KATHERINE. THANK YOU FOR THE FREE ONLINE CLASSES.❤❤❤
Thanks so much. After having My kids I have not been able to dance, not even a single class. 2024 and doing your videos, which brings me health and joy. Blessings❤
thank you for this... 4 years of college ballet for theatre majors in my BFA program with the Milwaukee Ballet. My body is enjoying the connection with the past training. I am taking it slow but enjoying every minute. Teared up the first time the Les Mis music played. I so wanted to be a dancer and my family so didn't want me to. But here I am connecting with it again and due to covid I am to make it happen. Thank you!!!!!
Soooo much love and thanks all the way from South Africa -spent lock down in America but now back home and so grateful I can still take your class. You are wondeful xxx
I have to admit this was super challenging for beginner ballet me haha but I actually love a challenge. I will continue to practice. Ballet is something I came into around 3 years ago because I broke both of my feet within the last 5 years and had to strengthen my feet during my healing process. I finally got my first set of ballet slippers this past December and I'm really enjoying it. I never got to do ballet as a kid but I did soccer, swimming, hip hop dance classes, yoga and pilates. Later on I taught aerobics classes and cardio kickboxing. But by far, ballet feels the most ME out of anything I've done.
Thank you for these videos, Kathryn! You have such an inspiring story, and are a wonderful instructor. I LOVE your corrections during the exercises, but now that I’ve done this a few times, love having the option of just running the quick version. Almost feel ready to try the intermediate/advanced barre! An upside to the quarantine (I’m in Canada) is that I’ve re-discovered ballet…and your amazing videos! You are AWESOME!
Thank you so much for taking all the extra time to re-edit these, your classes are so wonderful! So grateful that you decided to try teaching after all, you are so gifted at it! And happy National Dance Day!
I'm disabled and I have loved ballet since I was a kid. I've been doing this every few days in addition to walking and stretching every day. I'm hoping to get to take adult classes soon. It's so wonderful to know that I can do ballet even though I'm disabled. I didn't think I'd ever be able to.
I wish I could like this every time I do the work. I feel myself getting back my core strength and muscle memory kicking in Thank you so much for taking the time to put these videos together
I loved it, this is my workout now. I wanted to be a ballerina when I was young, but I found out that grown ups can do 🩰 as well, awesome teacher, thanks for sharing. 👍👍❤️❤️🌹🌹
57 yr old fat lady made it through 5mins! I'm sweaty but proud of myself for starting the journey instead of just what-if-ing the journey! Thank you...will sslllooowwwlly progress to the 1hr workout...but excited about it?
Ive just come out of isolation from covid and needed to desperately find my ballet legs before getting back to teaching! This video was perfect!!!! Thank you Ms Morgan for a lovely barre. I will be doing the center tomorrow!!!!!
Very enjoyable musical and lyrical barre. Proves barre work for beginners does not have to be boring. Beautiful to watch and satisfying to dance even for an old silver swan like me. For my first try I turned the speed down to 0.75 while I reminded myself of the steps but will be ready for normal speed next time. Thank you so much Kathryn.
I can't thank you enough for making these videos. I fell in love and quit ballet in my early 20s. 25 years and a child later I'm finding my love for it again and your videos are the best I've found.
I am a 49 y.o. man and take this intro class every second morning. Took some ballet classes when I was younger and this intro class is perfect for me. I have no turn out right now but do my best without compromising the posture and balance.Thank you Kathryn so much!
Can't thank you enough for this. During lockdown I was doing videos from the Australian Ballet but they've all been taken down now. I'm not a natural dancer, I'm an actor/singer but I also do pole and coming back to ballet after all this time had helped my body conditioning and flexibility like nothing else. Thankyou Kathryn. You're a treasure xx
Yay, I've followed 3 days of barre and center classes after each other of this channel and this time I decided to do a wordless barre and I could follow it!!! I'm excited 😁 😆
This class online pulled me out of a crying jag after putting down my old husky, Lily.. I dedicated this class to my Lily girl .Thank Your beautiful Kathryn.
I took a 2 unit intro to ballet class for general ed one semester... It was a 7 am... I only went to half the sessions and managed a C....... But I wish I was eating healthier during that semester.. I lost a few pounds because of that class.... I can't wait to make ballet apart of my daily routine. It's a good workout!!!
i was 3 years without practicing ballet and i really wanted to start over. so i found this channel one week ago and inmediately begin doing this barre workout. i am loving it, thank you for remembering me how much i love ballet.
Thank you so much for this! I remember always being so anxious for barre to be finished when I was a kid...now that I'm older it's my favorite part. I really appreciate you posting no intro videos as well as the ones with instructions; awesome idea, and it makes your content enjoyable for all levels.
I know you posted this a while ago but thank you for these beginner lessons. I danced on and off until I was 12 when I had to stop because of circumstances. Now I'm 17 and have lost most all my strength and flexibility. I always thought it was too late to start back up, but nothing has compared to ballet/lyrical for me and I'm done denying myself that pleasure of being able to let go and pour my entire being into the music like I used to, ya know! so, thank you!
Thank you for these! I'm recovering from an injurie in my hamstring and this beginner class really helps to slowly get my strength back with controlled movements. Also, love your music choice! I could listen to les mis, Disney and phantom any day!
I love your channel so much. I used to do ballet when I was younger but had to stop because it was expensive and now at 20 years old I have been lucky enough to be able to start again. I rearranged my room to have enough space to practice. It’s difficult but i’m learning so much from you, thank you! ❤️
Thank you Kathryn!! I used to do ballet and whenever I’ve tried the classes have been too sudden for my body….building it back with your online classes. Love them! Xxx
Thank you. As i have not enough back muscle I usually stretch in the last big developpes. This concept is very good with us who has some basics in ballet.
This is truly a challenge. Even when I do it as a warm up (after my warm up) this is a challenge. Thanks for hosting these classes! Really needed some great refreshers!
Did the original one so many times I kinda freaked out when the music for ronds de jambe was different 😂 funny how muscle memory works :) Thank you so much for editing this amazing class 😍
Thank you for this. I am an adult ballet student, with no prior ballet training, but was a gym at for 15 years. I suffer from a chronic pain condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and this helps with getting some strength and flexibility back in my foot and leg.
Wow, this was amazing! Thank you so much for putting this up. I used to do ballet, but I stopped due to injury. This was exactly what I was looking for. I love the music too!
Thanks so much Kathryn that was a great basic workout. Long overdue to get back into ballet, this is a great start to build up my strength and technique again xo
This last week i've been doing the class with the other video, "manually" skipping the intro... Thanks to youtube for finally introducing this one to me, haha. Thank You for the class, love it!
I was wondering if you would consider doing a Beginner/Intermediate Ballet Barre at home video? I know you've started zoom classes, but I've only managed to catch one. Thank you so much for your beautiful channel!
This is perfection! The exercises, the music,... I love that you chose songs from musicals! Would you consider doing another beginner home workout? I'm doing this one almost every day Thanks for giving me the opportunity to do ballett at home 😊
Hi Kathryn, Thank You for your videos. I have been doing your beginners class consistently every morning. I am wondering if you can please upload an Elementary Ballet class with no intro. Something between beginner and intermediate. Most grateful... Many Thanks & Have a wonderful day 🌟😊🌟

Place two chairs facing away from each other a few feet apart. Use the back of one for holding the left hand, then take a step and use the back of the other for the right hand.
I love your videos so much! They've really helped me to improve my dancing in quarantine. Would you consider doing a beginner/intermediate class for people who have an easy time with this barre but really struggle to keep up on the intermediate/advanced classes? Thank you so much for these videos
Great idea to skip the intros for the ones we do it daily ! Could you please do the same for the intermediate/advance barre ? Best option would be to have 20 minutes class each session, so we can mix them up and do them in an hour´s time. For example: 30 minutes barre, 15 minutes center, 15 minutes stretching, or whichever timing you suggest. Many Thanks from Argentina !!

I do it every day, despite my disability. So emotional to realize
I'm getting better one little step at a time. Thanks for sharing, this is precious!
Thank you so much for sharing. I am so much down that I don’t exercise even though my body needs it. Your words are encouraging.
You can always.
Here an old lady from Perú.
Same, but I can only do 20 minutes so far. Hopefully I can build up to the whole video someday.
My favorite. Very basic. I’m getting older. I am recovering from injuries, I’ve had one after another. this is perfect thank you

I used some of your combinations as inspiration for my video ballet audition ❤️❤️ I’ll update if I get in
Edit: I GOT IN!!!! Omg I'm so excited!! It's a summer intensive for four weeks!!
how did it go?
Ssooooo excited for you! Keep going!
Hi, thanks to our lovely ballerina, I have learned a lot from her. I am also 66 years old, and not too old for ballet. I REALLY ENJOY DANCING WITH KATHERINE. THANK YOU FOR THE FREE ONLINE CLASSES.❤❤❤
Loved this class ! Would you consider doing a port de bras/ arms workout to strengthen and learn how to hold your arms properly ?
She has a similar video, you should check out the channel
I absolutely love love love Kathryn's classes. I feel her love for the art thru every ounce of her being! Thank you for all you do!
great idea!👍🏻
Thanks so much. After having My kids I have not been able to dance, not even a single class. 2024 and doing your videos, which brings me health and joy. Blessings❤
Oh Katie, thank you SO much for posting this without the talk through the music. Now we have so many options this is great!!!

Thank you soo much for uploading often! I love your channel and you've really helped me, not only with my ballet technique but also mentally :)
Thank you!
I cannot say enough how much this ballet barre inspires and helps me. I come back time and time again! Thank you Katie! Merde'!
Soooo much love and thanks all the way from South Africa -spent lock down in America but now back home and so grateful I can still take your class. You are wondeful xxx
Will try to do this every morning now since we're on lockdown here in the Philippines. Thanks!
After a sprained my ankle, I just finished this class, and my ankle feels good. Thank you Kathryn.
Kathryn, you make it look so easy. Thank You!

such a fun was to exercise grace...and i love hearing the show tunes played on piano

I am grateful for this and all of your videos. It seems like you are now the longest running and most productive of all ballet shows.

Thank you for this version, very useful, I do this barre almost every day.

your lessons have really been helping me keep calm and active. I love your videos! Thank you for this
Thank you for posting this simpler version. Now i can move with your original version with your tutorial, i can challenge this one, too ❣️
I love your channel so much. I used to do ballet when I was younger but had to stop because it was expensive and now at 20 years old I have been lucky enough to be able to start again. I rearranged my room to have enough space to practice. It’s difficult but i’m learning so much from you, thank you! ❤️
So helpful having this lovely barre on UA-cam. Thank you!
Thank you Kathryn!! I used to do ballet and whenever I’ve tried the classes have been too sudden for my body….building it back with your online classes. Love them! Xxx
Well, it took me like six tries but I finally got through this in one go! What a butt-kicking! Hats off to you if you finished it!
Thank you. As i have not enough back muscle I usually stretch in the last big developpes. This concept is very good with us who has some basics in ballet.
I'm an advanced dancer and i literally felt like i was gonna collapse. soooo goood
I had to change it for copyright! But yes- I know exactly what you mean!
I had the same response. It's a shame, because I loved the other music. But rules are rules.
Thank you for this. I am an adult ballet student, with no prior ballet training, but was a gym at for 15 years. I suffer from a chronic pain condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and this helps with getting some strength and flexibility back in my foot and leg.
Still working on a few of the steps here with physical therapy. Listened to the music this time and it was awesome! And fun too. :)
Thank you so much! Basic but not easy, great for easing back after an injury...
Yes exactly! And my pleasure!
Love the clean lines and basics. Thank you
Thank you so much! Perfect for quarantine adult beginner ballet practice!
Wow, this was amazing! Thank you so much for putting this up. I used to do ballet, but I stopped due to injury. This was exactly what I was looking for. I love the music too!
Thank you so much for these beautiful videos 🎉🎉🎉🎉 please can we have a few more 🙏 🙏 😊
Thanks so much Kathryn that was a great basic workout. Long overdue to get back into ballet, this is a great start to build up my strength and technique again xo
Oh thank you for this beginner workout!
AWESOME! great class, gran mercie
LOVE this!! please keep posting, you're such a lovely and inspirational teacher.
This last week i've been doing the class with the other video, "manually" skipping the intro... Thanks to youtube for finally introducing this one to me, haha. Thank You for the class, love it!
Hi Kathryn! Thank you so much for these! May we also get a theraband arm workout? HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY ❤️
Moving on to the faster paced one without the intros feels so real though lol. ☺😜👏 i soooo appreciate this content right now.
I was wondering if you would consider doing a Beginner/Intermediate Ballet Barre at home video? I know you've started zoom classes, but I've only managed to catch one. Thank you so much for your beautiful channel!
Thank you for this Kathryn. Enjoyed it very much.xx
Thank you so much for these! Is there some way we can support you for making these?
This is perfection! The exercises, the music,... I love that you chose songs from musicals!
Would you consider doing another beginner home workout? I'm doing this one almost every day
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to do ballett at home 😊
That was great! Thank you so much!!! I loved the playlist too!
This really takes me back. Perfect. Thank you so much!
I love your music and it was so easy to follow. Thank you so much for sharing
so great! Thanks for helping me get through pandemic isolation!!
Hi Kathryn, Thank You for your videos. I have been doing your beginners class consistently every morning.
I am wondering if you can please upload an Elementary Ballet class with no intro. Something between beginner and intermediate.
Most grateful...
Many Thanks & Have a wonderful day 🌟😊🌟
Love this class!! I've been doing it regularly for a while. Now this no intro version works better for me, but appreciated your tips and commentary in the other video as well!
Thank you so much, it help me develop a new hody in this pandemic. Realize how beautiful this dance is.
This is fantastic Kathryn, thank you so much
I really enjoyed this one! Thank you!
Thank you. This is a really enjoyable routine
I’m doing this class everyday an now i can see every muscle in my legs wow
I'm still doing these when I have the time and space in between classes to keep limber!!
Place two chairs facing away from each other a few feet apart. Use the back of one for holding the left hand, then take a step and use the back of the other for the right hand.
Like this. Thank you! Just what I was expecting
Beautiful and inspiring
I love your videos so much! They've really helped me to improve my dancing in quarantine. Would you consider doing a beginner/intermediate class for people who have an easy time with this barre but really struggle to keep up on the intermediate/advanced classes? Thank you so much for these videos
oh my gosh this is my favorite channel
Great idea to skip the intros for the ones we do it daily ! Could you please do the same for the intermediate/advance barre ? Best option would be to have 20 minutes class each session, so we can mix them up and do them in an hour´s time. For example: 30 minutes barre, 15 minutes center, 15 minutes stretching, or whichever timing you suggest. Many Thanks from Argentina !!
