THIS IS SUCH A GREAT CLASS!! There are a lot of beginning pointe work classes out there and not as many intermediate/advanced ones...I am so happy that I can do this class over and over again!! Thank you so much Kathryn! Your classes are amazing, especially in these difficult, scary, frustrating, and confusing times. LOVE FROM TEXAS!! 🥰🩰
Do this in soft shoes! Obviously, don't go en pointe! But all the rolling through the feet for this home-safe pointe class, it will strengthen feet so much, even just the first 10 mins would do wonders for strength doing this in soft shoes or soft blocks!
Thank you for uploading this excellent class. This is exactly what I needed right now, and I'll keep doing this as long as my pointe shoes allow me. Anyone else have trouble replacing their pointe shoes now that the dance stores are all closed?
Its hard for so many people! Im so grateful my local dance store is doing shipping! It helped a lot since my shoes just died! i hope you can find a dance store that ships!!
@@sabinamaria My local store is now opening for in-store pickup, and the've been deluged by orders. I wear a somewhat uncommon size so they had to order them from the company for me. It'll take two weeks to ship but they'll come eventually.
This may be silly to comment on a barre follow along, but I've got to say that you make everything look so effortless and graceful. For me, you are by far one of the most artistic American ballerinas today. It's like you take some of the best elements of American, French, and Russian styles and make it your own, with your own artistic expression. You have a very beautiful, delicate and graceful port de bras that is kind of reminiscent of Russian and French styles, but a sharpness and liveliness that really reminds me of Balanchine dancers. Thank you again for helping us stay fit! I'm taking the time to comment this before getting back to my tendus. My feet are definitely feeling it! Cheers and hope you're doing well! Bella
I finally finished the class. I did the beginner pointe a zillion times and did everything 2x and slowly added this class 5 minutes at a time. I'm thrilled I finally got to the end!! Now to repeat it many many times. Thank you!! You look beautiful in all of this.
me: oh, this is nice, especially love the second excercise, gonna do that more often Kathryn: it wouldn´t be a Kathryn Morgan class... me: OH NO but really, this class is great and I´m glad to see I´m getting better even at the hard excerices
My first day...i am really fascinated with this dance style... I'm excited to learn it.. i dont have a pointe shoe...i hope i learn this..... Love from Kashmir..
cant believe ı have somehow finished it!!!!! If I survived here I can do anything I believe... For the advance levels I know it is not that hard bur I am intermediate... so... Thank God I am fine!
thank you so much i really love your pointe classes! is there any way you could make a pointe class center for advanced dancers? that would be amazing and so helpful! ❤️
Thank you thank you thank you! I wore out a new pair of shoes doing your last pointe video over and over last month!! At least 100 of the views are mine. So I'm super glad to have more of your amazing work but new music and combinations. Thank you Katie! ♥️❤️💓💖💞
I’m almost going to pointe. I have a question, how long do you have to keep buying new pairs of pointe shoes? I hope you answer this! Have a great day! Stay safe out there! Xoxo CC
@@1ovejun when you first start pointe not that much at all!! Like you don't do much pointe work so my class mates had there first pair for the whole year!! I only had mine for 5 months because my feet grew. About your second or third year the work gets harder and does more wear on the shoes. So you will need to get them more often. I only do pointe 3 times a week so only like 3-4 hours of work a week which is not a crazy amount. I just am pro-active with them so I let them air dry. I find they last a LOT longer! Pointe shoes typically last 22 hours but when I air dry them they lasted 50 hours!! I hope this helped!! You'll be great!!
Hi Kath!!! I wanna say that I really admire you and you inspire me to work harder. Even though I am not gonna be a ballet future professional dancer, I wanna ask if you could make a video about something that you talked about in the video about your SAB experience. I want to learn more about companies methods and ways of teaching. :) :) :)
I don't think I was Clear about what I'looking for, sorry! I'm really not a ballet specialist and I trust your informations because you are a real ballet dancer (and good). What I meant is that I would like to know more about ballet methods, like balanchine, know ""the most famous methods"" and this kind of stuff. :)
I had been doing ballet for 6 years when I was 12 I earned my first pair of point shoes, but I gave up right after. Now I'm 16 and I regret so much quitting, I completely feel in love with ballet again and I am using quarentine to get back my wasted time. I think it would be really hard, but not impossible, because when I did ballet classes I only had 1 hour class per week and didn't did shit during the other days, I just thought that 1h would be enough to be a professional and then I got depressed because I wasn't evolving and stopped. Any advice? I need all the help in the world
Hi everyone - I am having surgery on one of my toes in a couple of weeks. Obviously I’ll be having physio but anyone got any experiences or tips for a good recovery? I will be taking things slowly but it’s going to be so hard without dance! Hope everyone is safe and well xx
Hey, I am a UK teacher and wondered if your degage is our Glisse? or if you do Glisse too? I've watched many of your videos and haven't seen you Glisse? thanks
jillian grace I’m in the same situation 😂 I’m suppose to go on pointe. I messaged my teacher and she said to wait for me. 😂 I recommend to wait but if you think your ready than you can go for it!

I know I'm gonna look like the dollar store version of Kathryn doing this video but I'm gonna try later!
I'm sure you look better than that! Don't be so hard on yourself!
I thought I would do the 'dime' version then progress to dollar!

I am so excited to try this later today! Thank you for the frequent uploads during quarantine :) Stay safe! 💞
Thank you! You too!
I am not yet on pointe, so I was wondering if you could do or have a video for pre-pointe work? Thank you so much for these videos!
I will work on it. xoxo
Oooo yes! I’m almost going to pointe too! A pre pointe video will definitely be great! Lol

Very fun class! I really liked the barre work at the end that incorporated elements that you would see in center work. Hope you have a great weekend.

Love it! Thank you, Kathryn! Danced this tonight in my dining room.

I can confirm it's not great to do with dead shoes. Still a great pointe class, though! xx
LOL xD I tried to do the bluebird variation on dead shoes on Friday... xD
@@sabinamaria oh, no I can imagine the difficulty 😂 my feet would probably just refuse to go up on pointe at some pointe tbh

Hi I was wondering if you know a seller of (small) ballet floors/mats for at-home pointe work?
what are the names of the music from the Rond de jambe please ?
Mia munselle you blow to popped 44 ballon? (Because chatgpt said it)
Does anyone know what brand this leotard is? It’s gorgeous
Ahhhh! I can't wait to try this and destroy my almost dead pointe shoes 😁😁
