Dear MR. Lile, completing 3 of your courses (Captains Motorcycle, Oshkosh and Lego Man) helped me a lot through changing my career and gave me a solid Blender modelling foundation back in day. It is so nice to see you more on UA-cam. Wish you the very best!
While I've used Blender for years for rendering environments, scenes etc, I've always been interested in modelling but it seemed so complex, watching this video has given me the inspiration to try again, thank you!
Your method seems rough and ready, understandably for the sake of teaching. I for one, would have used boolean operations for each component, just because I'm not a fan of freehand modelling.
Thanks for sharing! Yes, I like to try and get people's hands dirty straight away and get them to start working with various tools in Blender. But I'm also a big fan of freehand modeling. Makes it feel more like drawing to me. And I love drawing. :)
