Best video, I've seen. I remember back in the 80's when this style was in and my mom did this same exact thing. I had forgot and watched a few videos of girls using tweezers and other nonsense and then viola this is what I have been looking for.
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! I was just saying to a friend the other day that I wanted to do this to some of my old jeans, but didn't know how and like magic you bring me a video straight to my subscription list lol. Thanks again.
This is the best Jean rip vid I've seen, cause it like the rips he makes and u don't have to pick out every single tiny thread lines that go up and down
IMO,it looks a little better if you don't slice all the way through the denim. Just kind of score the denim and then use sandpaper or a shaving razor to go over the scoring and you will get a more natural effect.
I had some premade distressed jeans, I fell on it from longboarding and had to cut the legs off so i could bandage myself. I got myself a pretty cool pair of jean shorts now
"Will I look gay by wearing these?" Are you taking them off to go have sex with a person of your gender? Then yes. If not, no. They're just jeans, y'all need to chill.
joshua magna I am a fan of Logan Paul and I'm proud too be. Not afraid to admit it, and why do you need to attack people for liking different things you don't? There's really no reason to do such a thing. It's stupid. But whatever, go ahead and try to make me feel bad because you are too alone to go do something else. ✌
i used a box cutter and it worked perfectly and i recommend it. it worked well because in was hard to actually cut but it makes it look just more distressed and torn up. it bootifuul
Wow I'm impressed. Not only does your technique work great but this was one of the best instructional videos I've ever seen. Very professionally done. Enjoyable to watch. Thank you very much! And boy am I glad I watched it before I took a pair of scissors to my pants!
I used a fork instead of a razor and it worked just as well. thanks for the tutorial. I've been wanting to do this but was scared to ruin my jeans. They look great now!
Can't believe its been a little over 8 years now since you released this video. Your channel has helped me out so much throughout my teens and now in twenties. I appreciate you so much -Erickleo
this was my first tutorial (for real) i've actually seen to the end! clip wasnt too long, good voice & kept it simple - very helpful actually, thx :) A+
I like the idea using the razor to get some outside parts cut out but don't approve using the blazes to cut the pants right through... it looks a bit too fake and unnatural, I would just leave the white threads, remove only the surface and let the jeans worn out naturally to make holes! Unless you want to make real destroyed jeans of course, you will make many real holes, but they should look a bit more natural with threads falling out, I think!
Took a box cutter to my 60€ Jack and Jones jeans. Needless to say they looked like they'd just been worn in a Mortal Combat battle (absolutely ruined). Thank god we have women to fix our mistakes.
Wow, so ppl really do rip their clothes on purpose! I just wear the same clothes for yrs. & patch them up. If I do get something, it's from a dumpster or on the sidewalk. That way I don't need money for clothes, I just find them! I thought they had machines that wear out jeans for those designer brands & they charge like $200 for them, which makes absolutely no sense at all to me. Shouldn't they be cheaper if there's holes & they look used? Why is it that "fashion" in a designer brand store is a 100x more expensive than "fashion" of a homebum? Hell, I could just sell my clothes, but since my name isn't Afercrombie & Bitch I can't charge the same price...or could I? Hahaha! There's no way anybody would buy my clothes! I'm not famous nor will I ever be, as fame just isn't appealing to me at all, no privacy, constant scrutiny & judgment, ppl pretending to be your friend (they already do that), & everyone watching for the slightest misstep. The fashion world is probably the most brutal of them all! I guess it's a good thing ppl can make things on their own rather than have to buy it from the corporate fashion shops which support that brutality! Every DIY thing a person does, is a slap in the face to the capitalists who exploit any & all culture in the name of profit! Yes, DIY as much as possible! It's also a punk thing to do(DIY ethos of punk)! Although punk gets exploited just as much as any other style/genre/subculture the whole idea is to cut out the corporate middle man by not using his currency! I just think ppl could let their jeans wear out on their own bcuz they'll save more money that way rather than tearing them up on purpose, then having to get new ones anyway! I have no idea how much clothes the average person has, but I'm guessing it's at the very least 5x what I have. I bet there's a study on that somewhere! There's a study on everything these days! Clothing statistics, how much the average person owns, by such & such university....the end.lol
Knute Lindstrom Fashion designers become famous and sell because they're good at design or at marketing, not the other way around. And of course distressed jeans are more expensive, you need to pay the people who distress them. You also need to pay more the people who designed the jeans, since this means an extra work. And there are lots of brands who sell raw denim jeans, and buy them back once they've been worn and used for years, only to repair them and sell them again as naturally distressed jeans
guys if you want to get better distress with the strings still in contact, take a razor blade and pull it in the area going horizontally until the fabric gives up and tears. How he does it in the video isn't good because he just cuts through the whole first layer, which doesn't look good imo.
Best way to get distress jeans is to wear them. Run on them and trip. There you go distress jeans.
Lmao😂👌🏽

Thats actually how i got a hole in mine😂 but its just one and i also had a scratch😩

albino polar bear I was thinking the same thing
Yeah...I was thinking sandpaper too.
I looked through so many videos for women but then I looked at this is boy video and it works fantastic
Thank u so much
Or run and jump of your porch landing on the sidewalk would work too
Put them in the blender for that grunge, careless look.

I had some premade distressed jeans, I fell on it from longboarding and had to cut the legs off so i could bandage myself. I got myself a pretty cool pair of jean shorts now
HAHAHA SAME MINE RIPPED ON THE SIDEWALK
I jumped off the 18th floor of my hotel room onto the concrete. My jeans came out great. Thanks for the tip.
Woohoo it worked. Now my old jeans look classy. Thank ya.
what type of shoes are those ? no pun. serious question
tweenies shoes
Yeezy boost 350's
Genius! I like that you still have jean material on the knee area even tho it's torn.
By far the best video i came across for distressing jeans!! Loved the results!
Bro. Good job. This was the best video on what to do to distress Jeans that I've seen.
"Will I look gay by wearing these?" Are you taking them off to go have sex with a person of your gender? Then yes. If not, no. They're just jeans, y'all need to chill.

What should you do about black jeans that you really don't want to fade with the washing and drying process
Dry on very low heat
+ADsupaTV Cold water. Low dry heat.
instructions weren't clear enough. I threw my child in the washer...
?
Bro, me too!
Lil dude got stuck in my back pocket!
@@ilooklikemonalisarightnowl816 we don't need to know that dirty asssss

i did this to my blak jeans and they came out fantastic on the first wash! i absolutely love them thank you!!
the end product looked bad, i would be disappointed if mine came out like that
i don thtink they looked bad, it gets the look u want over time, just after multiple washes .
You think? I really liked it
Giggly Hercules yes as these are fresh cuts, they need sometime to look worn off, and that is best achieved with multiple machine washes.
That's how it's suppost to look
definitely right
i just did this and they are the definition of CLOOOUUUUUTT
i dont recommend cutting the pockets if u use them cause the hole could go bigger and ur phone or anything else just falls out of it
Wow I'm impressed. Not only does your technique work great but this was one of the best instructional videos I've ever seen. Very professionally done. Enjoyable to watch. Thank you very much! And boy am I glad I watched it before I took a pair of scissors to my pants!
i had a really boring plain pair of true religions and i acid washed and distressed em and now i love em, thank you for all your great tutorials
Just did the distress on my jeans and I am loving them
Super cute, thank you for the tutorial. needed to distress some cut offs and it worked absolutely perfect. Thanks again!!!!
I used a fork instead of a razor and it worked just as well. thanks for the tutorial. I've been wanting to do this but was scared to ruin my jeans. They look great now!
One thing this video doesn't specify, wash your jeans after you cut them up. That makes the cuts look more worn in and natural.
R u dumb?
Elias Saybe Washing your jeans after cutting them makes them appear more fluffy and less sloppy. Have you used a different method?
Terroja Aniese
It does specify in the video to wash your jeans after you cut them up... did you not watch the video??
Maria Munnich I did, I guess I was too busy actually cutting my jeans to listen out for that. My bad.
idk why but it was funny asf when you put the cloth over the blade too be more safe😂
I never would have thought to use a shaving razor! Good idea. :)
are you washimg them twice before you put them into the dryer ?
worked like a charm! only needed 1 wash, thanks for the tip!
Awesome! Does that work on stretch Jeans too?
Thanks for sharing, I’ve been distressing things for years and never tried this method!
Anyone who's concerned they'll "look gay" if they wear distressed jeans takes themselves waaaaaay too seriously
Dwa Pak I'm Bi... dafuq do I do, huh?
depends how tight they are
Dwa Pak what? I’ve never heard this?0
Laurence Booker ye
Dwa Pak I’m doing this to look more gay
Throwing it in the washer is soooo SMART!!! Much better than the tweezers!
how do I make them not look bushy around the parts I cut ?
you can't. that's part of the look
the best idea for my old old jean 😋
2:00 Can't stress this enough, get it 😆😆😆
Hopefully I'm not the only one who found that funny 😥😂
This actually worked out surprisingly well, thanks!
Nice result. Thank you for the tutorial

Thank you!!!
I tried this with my favorite pairs of jeans, in the end it wasn't my favorite pair of jeans anymore
this was my first tutorial (for real) i've actually seen to the end! clip wasnt too long, good voice & kept it simple - very helpful actually, thx :) A+
Can you show some good styles with timberland boots on & with those jeans on.
When you cut the slits into your jeans, rub the knife back and forth against each slit. It makes the distressing much more natural looking.
i trusted you
Didn't think it would be this easy
I like the idea using the razor to get some outside parts cut out but don't approve using the blazes to cut the pants right through... it looks a bit too fake and unnatural, I would just leave the white threads, remove only the surface and let the jeans worn out naturally to make holes!

guys if you want to get better distress with the strings still in contact, take a razor blade and pull it in the area going horizontally until the fabric gives up and tears. How he does it in the video isn't good because he just cuts through the whole first layer, which doesn't look good imo.
what?
Thank you! Im using this for my Joshua Graham cosplay
You cut it way to much, it looks like a homeless man jeans
That's the point.
punkdumb Most distressed jeans look way better when have a few less cuts and more white fabric showing.
Taco Flocka Flame That's your opinion. I like distressed jeans better with thousand holes and shit in it.
I don't want to hate.i just am nor used to seeing cuts at the knees on both sides. But I'm probably going to try this on my Jean vest with less cuts
punkdumb Honestly, that's all my pants I skate in. The reason why I hate on it is because they don't last.
Yo thank you for this!! I was doing it with a Bobby pin and it yooo for ever but this way looks much easier and cooler !
Put a deep cut in my finger. Told myself I didn't need gloves. Thanks for the warning though, next time I'll listen. Jeans look great!
hey, welcome back!
I love that song
i believe that when you have big slits in the knee they are a tad gay or feminine, just not something for me but cool video.
Yeah did you not read what I put... I did say "Just something not for me"
this doesn't look gay at all, if a guy wore distressed jeans i'd assume he knows how to dress for some reason, they are kinda attractive on men.
agreed w Matthew Price
LEYLA90 Some guys know style. Those who don't are called rapists usually.
