    Yeah whenever I need help custonizing my jeans I go right to your channel. You remind me of when I was younger and eager to create. I have actually got back into this hobby with all the newer fashion styles. I sure wish I made videos of my projects. A lot if these styles and techniques are coming back again. Great work

    For those who don’t want to use a Dremel, you can use a fish scaler or a cheese grater to get a good distressed look.

    great video I'm new here but your videos are hella inspirational. Also the spray paint may needed to be diluted with water I came across the same prob so many times but the water slightly helped depending on type of paint, and brand etc.

  • @lisaaab
    @lisaaab 2 роки тому +10

    You can use repositionable spray adhesive to hold your stencil in place. Spray the back of your stencil and press in place. It can be removed and reused. I would buy the type used on fabric. It should hold the stencil in place and help stop the paint from bleeding under the stencil. Also, instead of spraying or painting the paint on use a stencil brush, sponge are paper towel even and stipple or dab the paint on. You can control it better if you can’t get a sprayer to work. To adjust what you have painted lay the stencil on the fabric again and dab blue paint onto the tree. It will adjust the brightness of the white tree. You can use a wire brush by hand or in a drill to distress the fabric. If you bleach the fabric the paint may hold up. Do not use straight bleach. Even if you rinse the bleach out it will continue to weaken the fabric over time. You must naturalize the bleach after you rinse it with vinegar. Then rinse again.

    I made a pair of distressed jeans in like 30 minutes one day a couple of times I did it when I needed to go somewhere what I do is I Mark the areas off in pin and then I take my scissors and I cut the lines then I'll cut another line where the spaces or maybe an inch wide each line is an inch wide and then I take my Pinchers or eyebrow pluckers whatever you call them and pull the individual little strings out and then you'll have a perfect set of lines

    The dremel is cool, but nothing works better than hand sanding with sandpaper.
    I use everything from 80-180 Grit and I'll even use 200+ fine grit for specific distress patterns.
    I can distress/destroy a 6×6 area in 20min.
    I designed a pair that has a cargo pocket made from 2 different color 8×8 pieces of Denim stacked w/ the distressed thread going in an X and then I used Red bonded nylon for the stitch, finished it off with a flap and buckle that went between the layers.
    Straight 🔥

    I've learned that when distressing jeans, the Dremel is the best method. You have to wash the jeans after you distress them. Another method when it comes to sewing on patches is free arm sew it. Look up videos on that, I may be pronouncing it wrong. But these jeans are so hard🔨🔨🔨

My sewing machine sucks so I've been using hot glue and it works very well. I literally made a pair and maybe 30 minutes one day a couple times I've done this I like watching your videos it gets me motivated to do stuff I have something that's wrong with me mentally which keeps me from doing things motivation wise so watching your videos motivates me thank you
