    I've never liked that distressed/brand new with holes look in jeans. This is ARTistic. And I like the balanced embroidery on both legs. Like painting with a needle & thread!

    I recently did my sister in laws Jean's that had same kinda knee and leg holes from the fraying coming apart, I took jean sides apart like you did and I sewed in a few pieces of leggings that I cut up, it came out amazing and beautiful looking. She absolutely loved that I saved 2 of her favorite jeans!! I used leggings because it was strong enough for jean patchto sew and works extremely well with stretchy jeans too!

    • @DowntownTailoring
      @DowntownTailoring  3 роки тому +3

      That's amazing. When I do patches for myself, I use very often T-shirts material. I like more the feeling. I use it too for my customers when they are looking for a softer patch and jeans when they prefer a stronger one! Thanks for your comment 😊

So she sent them to me for there pants, Ive done about 21 pairs of jeans an So many women are beyond happy to Save a great pair of pants especially when they fit prefectly!! I've done few pairs of my own pairs with bright and colorful old leggings and I get so many compliments on were did I buy those. People are always surprised when I say I made them myself!! Love saving clothes or fabrics for better or longer use!! Have great day and take care!💗💗

    I totally love that effect of the threads!
    I just made it for a costumer; I did kept the “laces “ of the threads’s borders ( I don’t relay that much on interfacing sold in my country and to give her the result she was asking for I didn’t make stisches on the center of the hole so that her knee skin can show through
    I will keep offering this work to costumers when they want a more “natural” look for their jeans
