I started learning how to crochet a few days ago because my daughters want me to make them some amigurumi. I figured starting with granny squares would help me practice and eventually get me there (hopefully 😅). I'm left handed, so it's a bit of a challenge, but I follow your explanations and watch your hands, hitting pause after every couple stitches and trying to mimic what you're doing... and I made a daisy square! I'm quite proud of myself, and very, very grateful. Your explanations are very detailed and we get a perfect view of your hands. Thank you! Now I need to check out your other videos to see if you made other beginner friendly projects that I can try 🖤
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so happy to hear that you're making great progress with your crochet journey, especially with learning amigurumi for your daughters! 🌸 It’s awesome that you tackled the daisy square, and I’m really proud of you for pushing through the challenges as a left-handed crocheter. I’m so glad the explanations have been helpful. 😊 I hope you find more beginner-friendly projects in my other videos to try out! Thank you again for your support, and happy crocheting! 🖤

I just started a new sweater, and I chose to use these granny squares. Since I am horrible at color changes (and they take forever to hide), I am using one color for the entire granny square. Thank you for the amazing tutorial :]

I really did enjoy making my very first granny square, and because of you, my first experience was so great. Your video, etc, is so clear in everything. Mine came out a big bigger tho cause I used chunky wool. Only used 2 colors also, very light brown with light Grey.. I just love my earthy colors...looks very pretty, tho. I enjoyed making the petals so much, I kept making petals in round 3 also😂😂... Thank you for this ❤
I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed making your first granny square! Chunky wool sounds lovely, and I’m sure your earthy colors look beautiful together. It’s great that you had fun with the petals too-no such thing as too many petals! Thank you for sharing your experience, and happy crafting! ❤️😊

If you ever have any questions or need more guidance as you continue your crochet journey, feel free to ask. Keep up the fantastic work!
Very helpful video! I do have one question though! How would you go about making a half granny square of this pattern? I want to make a bandana, but that requires triangle half granny squares. Thanks! :)
I'm so glad you found the video helpful! 😊 To make a half granny square for a bandana, you can start with the same method as a regular daisy granny square but stop after you have done the half of it. Instead of going all the way around, you'll increase in only two sides (the edges), which will give you a triangle shape. You can then join them to form the bandana. I hope that helps, and feel free to ask if you need more details! Best of luck with your project! 🌟🧶
To make the squares bigger do you need to just use thicker yarn and a bigger hook or would the pattern change? I loveeee this but also love a big blanket!❤❤
Great question! 💖 To make the squares bigger, you can absolutely use thicker yarn and a larger hook-this will give you bigger squares without changing the pattern itself. However, if you want an even bigger effect, you could also adjust the number of rounds, but that’s totally up to you! So happy you're enjoying the pattern, and a big blanket sounds like such a cozy project! 🧶✨ Keep having fun with it!
Hi Marie Beautiful work and thanks ever so much for sharing your talents. Would you have any video out there to show how to join up the squares to make into a blanket. I find this tricky and you are such a good teacher that l might actually get the process by following your pattern. Sending my very best wishes from Mary 💚
Hi Mary! 💚 Thank you so much for your lovely message-it means a lot! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the pattern, and I’d be happy to help with joining the squares. The join-as-you-go method is one of my favorites because it’s quick and neat heres a link for videotutorial: ua-cam.com/video/GwezXQDJtc4/v-deo.html But there are also other methods like whip stitch or slip stitch join. Sending you lots of positive vibes for your blanket, and thank you again for your kind words! Wishing you all the best! 🌟🧶 Warm wishes, Marie
Hi there! Yes, you can definitely use acrylic yarn for pillowcases! Acrylic is durable, easy to care for, and comes in a wide range of colors, making it a great choice for home decor projects like pillowcases. if you're looking for a softer, more cozy feel, you might want to consider blending it with cotton or choosing a softer acrylic yarn. But overall, it should work perfectly for your pillowcases! Happy crafting! 😊🧶
Thank you for your wonderful feedback!🥰 I'm thrilled to hear that you found the tutorial clear and enjoyed making your first granny square with a pattern inside. It's great to have you following along. Thank you! 🙏😊
Hi! I'm new to crochet, and I just received all the materials I need. I'm really excited to learn and want to make a blanket. So I wanted to ask for your opinion-should I start by learning the basics, like what a single crochet or double crochet is, or can I jump straight into watching granny square tutorials?
Hi! It’s wonderful to hear you’re excited to start crocheting! I recommend starting with the basics, like single and double crochet, as they are the foundation for many patterns, including granny squares. Once you feel comfortable with those stitches, you can dive into the granny square tutorials. This way, you’ll have a solid understanding, and it’ll make the learning process even more enjoyable. Happy crafting, and have fun! 🧶✨
Thank you so much! ❤ I’m so happy you like the granny squares! For a blanket, it depends on the size you want. If you're using a standard size like a throw, you might need around 120 squares, 8 squares for width and 12 for the for the length, but you can adjust based on the size of each square and the overall look you're going for. It's always a good idea to lay out a few squares first to see how they fit together, and then you can plan from there. Happy crocheting, and I’m sure your blanket will turn out amazing! 🧶✨
Great question! The number of granny squares you’ll need for a blanket can vary depending on the size you want. Generally, around 48 squares should be a good start for a baby blanket. For a larger throw, you might need around 80 to 150 squares. It really depends on the size of each square and how big you want your blanket to be. Happy crocheting! If you need more specifics, feel free to ask!
You're so welcome! ❤️ I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with COVID-19, but I'm truly glad you're feeling ready to pick up crochet again. It’s amazing that you used to lead a knit and crochet group-that's such a special gift to share with others. Take your time, and I’m sure it will come back to you! If my tutorial can help in any way, that makes me so happy. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any help along the way. You've got this! 🌸😊

I'm thrilled to have been a part of your crochet journey, and I'm excited for you to explore more tutorials in the future. If you ever have any questions or need assistance with anything, don't hesitate to reach out. Happy crocheting, and may you continue to enjoy many more hours of crafting! ❤️🧶
Taking your time with the pauses and mimicking the movements is a great strategy! I’m so glad the explanations have been helpful. 😊 I hope you find more beginner-friendly projects in my other videos to try out! Thank you again for your support, and happy crocheting! 🖤
You are the first person the used the trebbel crochet in a corner space, where others just do double crochet, thank you for sharing you talent with us.

I just started a new sweater, and I chose to use these granny squares. Since I am horrible at color changes (and they take forever to hide), I am using one color for the entire granny square. Thank you for the amazing tutorial :]
That sounds like a great plan for your sweater! Using a single color for the entire granny square can simplify the process and make it more enjoyable. I’m so glad the tutorial was helpful for you. Best of luck with your sweater project-it's going to turn out fantastic! 😊🧥🌟

@ Thanks so much! I will give that a try! :)
❤❤❤Beautiful! Thanks huges from italy
Thank you so much 🥰 You are very welcome. A big back to you in Italy🇮🇹
Hi Marie
Beautiful work and thanks ever so much for sharing your talents. Would you have any video out there to show how to join up the squares to make into a blanket. I find this tricky and you are such a good teacher that l might actually get the process by following your pattern. Sending my very best wishes from Mary 💚
Hi Mary! 💚
Thank you so much for your lovely message-it means a lot! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the pattern, and I’d be happy to help with joining the squares.
The join-as-you-go method is one of my favorites because it’s quick and neat heres a link for videotutorial: ua-cam.com/video/GwezXQDJtc4/v-deo.html
But there are also other methods like whip stitch or slip stitch join.
Sending you lots of positive vibes for your blanket, and thank you again for your kind words! Wishing you all the best! 🌟🧶
Warm wishes,
Marie
thank you so much for this video ,learned a lot ...❤❤❤❤
You are very welcome 🥰 Im so glad I could help you learn something new. Happy crocheting🧶♥️
Hi! Can you use acrylic yarn for these for maskingevär pillow cases?
@AdoreCreaCrochet thank you ❤️

@@AdoreCreaCrochet I’m hooked 😂
This is so cute ❤! I want to do a blanket with these granny squares. But how many granny squares will I need to do?
Thank you so much! ❤ I’m so happy you like the granny squares! For a blanket, it depends on the size you want. If you're using a standard size like a throw, you might need around 120 squares, 8 squares for width and 12 for the for the length, but you can adjust based on the size of each square and the overall look you're going for. It's always a good idea to lay out a few squares first to see how they fit together, and then you can plan from there. Happy crocheting, and I’m sure your blanket will turn out amazing! 🧶✨
I wonder how much squares will it need to make a blanket ?
Great question! The number of granny squares you’ll need for a blanket can vary depending on the size you want. Generally, around 48 squares should be a good start for a baby blanket. For a larger throw, you might need around 80 to 150 squares. It really depends on the size of each square and how big you want your blanket to be. Happy crocheting! If you need more specifics, feel free to ask!
