    I was going to make my mom a cardigan for chilly days to keep her warm with sunflower granny squares.. but when I asked if she likes sunflowers, she said she does, but she likes daisies better. Searched & found your video. 😊 liked, saved in a playlist to find this video again & subscribed. I've been crocheting for years. Your tutorial is very clear to understand & easy to see what you're doing. For new learners: click the little gear or cog wheel on your video & select a slower speed if you need to see slower what a maker is doing. It really helps! ❤ I learned to nålbind from 2 women by slowing their videos & asking them questions. Good luck! 🍀

      Your tip about adjusting the video speed for new learners is incredibly helpful and thoughtful. Slowing down the video can definitely make it easier to follow along, especially for intricate stitch patterns. And it's fantastic to hear that you learned nålbind from watching slowed-down videos and asking questions.

    Helped me make my very first granny square. Had a few attempts, but the 2nd one worked out perfect for me, realised I had a lot chunkier yarn than in the video so had to chain 8 in the beginning for it to work out/look nice. thanks for the tutorial!

      Great job on making your very first granny square! It's not uncommon for beginners to have a few attempts before getting it just right, so don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn out perfectly the first time. I'm glad to hear that my tutorial was helpful for you and that you were able to make adjustments to suit the yarn you were using. Adapting to different yarn weights and hook sizes is a great skill to have in crochet, and it will open up even more possibilities for your future projects. Keep up the good work and happy crocheting! 🤗🌺

This is the first tutorial I have watched that allowed me to complete my first ever crocheted item. Oh no! It seems like your granny square has taken on a unique and unexpected shape. 😄 While a traditional granny square typically has four corners, it sounds like you've created something truly one-of-a-kind with five corners. Embrace the creativity and consider it a personalized touch to your project! If you're aiming for a more conventional square, you might want to double-check your stitch count or vide instructions to ensure you're on the right track. Happy crocheting! 🧶😊

    I’m going to write out the steps for anyone who finds it easier sorry if it’s not great I’ve just quickly typed it out.
    First round:
    Chain 4 - Join with slip stitch
    Chain 3. 11 dc into the circle. End with slip stitch into third chain from the start of the round.

    • @caitlinbrett4228
      @caitlinbrett4228 Рік тому +1

      Third round (border)
      (Attach new colour to any inter chain space) Chain 4. Then 2 trebles into that chain space. Then ch 1. This is half a corner.
      Make three double crochet into next space. Ch 1. Repeat into next space
      Making corner - 3 tr crochet into chain space. Chain 3. Then 3 more trebles in SAME ch space. Chain 1.
      3 double crochet into next two chain spaces with 1 chain between to make next side. Repeat these steps until you get to the last edge.
      To finish the corner make 3 more trebles into the chain space of the first (half) corner you made and chain three. End the round with sl stitch into the 4th chain of the first ch 4. Fasten off.
