In case anyone was wondering you can do the yellow part by just doing 12 double crochets into a magic ring. For some reason I found that way easier especially because I am using very chunky yarn. Hope this helps someone

I was going to make my mom a cardigan for chilly days to keep her warm with sunflower granny squares.. but when I asked if she likes sunflowers, she said she does, but she likes daisies better. Searched & found your video. 😊 liked, saved in a playlist to find this video again & subscribed. I've been crocheting for years. Your tutorial is very clear to understand & easy to see what you're doing. For new learners: click the little gear or cog wheel on your video & select a slower speed if you need to see slower what a maker is doing. It really helps! ❤ I learned to nålbind from 2 women by slowing their videos & asking them questions. Good luck! 🍀

    Slip knot
    Chain 4
Connect to chain 1 with slip stitch
    Chain 3
Work in the middle hole of the circle you created
Make 11 double crochet into the middle hole (yarn over, insert, yarn over pull through, yarn over pull 2 loops. YO pull through 2 loops)
Slip stitch into the 3rd stitch of the chain you started with and fasten off.
Attach next color into any stitch and tie knot.
    4 chain stitches
2 more thripple crochet in the same hole (YO twice, insert, YO and pull through, YO pull through 2 loops, YO pull through 2 loops)
YO and slip stitch through all 4 stitches left
    Chain 2
3 thriple crochet in each hole with 2 chains between each petal until there’s 12 petals to your flower.
Make a slip stitch into the 4th stitch of the chain you started with and fasten off and attach new color.
    Chain 4
2 more triple crochet into same hole (YO twice, insert YO pull through, YO pull through 2 loops, YO pull through 2 loops, YO pull through 2 loops)
    Chain 1
Next chain space 3 double crochet (yo insert, pull through a loop, yo pull through 2 loops, up pull through 2 loops)
    Chain 1
Do 3 double into the next chain space
    Chain 1
Next chain space 3 thriple crochet
    Chain 3
3 thriple into came chain space (6 total with 3 chain in between)
    Chain 1
3 double crochet into next two spaces with 1 chain in between.
Then 3 thriple with a chain 3 and 3 thriple into same hole again.
Continue until you have four corners of thriples and two double on each side.

I’m going to write out the steps for anyone who finds it easier sorry if it’s not great I’ve just quickly typed it out.
    First round:
Chain 4 - Join with slip stitch
Chain 3. 11 dc into the circle. End with slip stitch into third chain from the start of the round.

    • @caitlinbrett4228
      @caitlinbrett4228 Рік тому +1

      Third round (border)
(Attach new colour to any inter chain space) Chain 4. Then 2 trebles into that chain space. Then ch 1. This is half a corner.
Make three double crochet into next space. Ch 1. Repeat into next space
Making corner - 3 tr crochet into chain space. Chain 3. Then 3 more trebles in SAME ch space. Chain 1.
3 double crochet into next two chain spaces with 1 chain between to make next side. Repeat these steps until you get to the last edge.
To finish the corner make 3 more trebles into the chain space of the first (half) corner you made and chain three. End the round with sl stitch into the 4th chain of the first ch 4. Fasten off.

well, I somehow ended up with 5 corners 😢😂

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  Рік тому +1

Oh no! It seems like your granny square has taken on a unique and unexpected shape. 😄 While a traditional granny square typically has four corners, it sounds like you've created something truly one-of-a-kind with five corners. Embrace the creativity and consider it a personalized touch to your project! If you're aiming for a more conventional square, you might want to double-check your stitch count or vide instructions to ensure you're on the right track. Happy crocheting! 🧶😊
