I sure as hell do! My grandmother used to watch CBS SOAPS and just as GL went off she flipped to ABC and this theme used to be playing. 🙌🏾 Then Oprah came on at 4 pm.
That's just an epic closing theme. Especially those last 30 seconds. Totally theatrical and full on orchestral. It made you feel like you had just watched something really important.
Not really, how long the theme was, all depended on how long the show was that day, with its storylines. Loved the closing theme of GH, and Days of our Lives, in the 1980s. Closing themes like this sadly have been gone for years now.
Spectacular! They almost never did this. And those last few seconds to hold the MAIN TITLE CARD that long after the cast and crew scroll! Something is off, though, it should have had a date and ABC American Broadcasting Company wording at the end! This may have been partially fan made
Guessing this was 1989, when Jane Elliot first returned to the show, as Tracy, as she is near the bottom of the credits. David Lewis would retire as Edward by early fall 1989, one reason they got Tracy back, to fill the void that would be left.
There is a way to do it for free, albeit it can be time consuming and tedious. It involves using Firefox add-ons to download the video and using online software audio editing tools (that don't require a download) by re-uploading them there, then after trimming the specific part you want; put the file on your phone and change the ringtone with that file.
Who remembers coming home from school when this is plays before Oprah came on
I do. I remember when it used to come on before Merv Griffin on Channel 6 in Philadelphia.

That meant He-Man was about to come on.

Right? YES!!
You feel the rich history of the show. And the fact they kept this dated them well into 1993 was amazing!
Great closing music for probably the greatest daytime soap opera ever created. .
I’ve been watching GH since 1978. My mom got me hooked-the days of Steve Hardy, Jessie Brewer, and Luke & Laura.
Simple good times ‼️ my mother loved this long close on Fridays ♥️ 80s baby!
Mine too and DOOL ❤️
The building caught my attention.
Takes me back to the 80’s with Luke and Laura
This is so much better than the one they have now, I don’t understand why they changed it, I love this one 😢
❤❤🎉🎉 I remember this when I came home from school my mom watched this every day Monday though Friday
This song reminds everyone of their mother and grandmother.
I loved this theme because it meant mom was done watching her “stories” for the day and afternoon cartoons were coming on.
Loved hearing this song it let me know that the cartoons were coming on next.
Awesome! I always thought the extended version followed an epic episode. This brings back great memories thank you
I loved this version very much they should bring it back
This is the best one and I miss it!
It did

I got hooked on GH during the summer of 1980 when Luke and Laura ran off together.
