Wow! Can you imagine the networks today agreeing to 3:33 of end credits? They would never want to give up that much commercial and promotional time. I miss end credits when they were done like this!
It’s bad enough they stopped with closing credits with soaps which was the backbone to the show. And I believe Another World was the first to do it around 1994 or 1995.
@@a.b.s_productions Daytime TV gradually stopped doing end of show end credits, with I believe Price is Right being the last do to so in September 1999. Jeopardy did recently have a 90 second end of show credits, and that's quite unusual for any TV show these days

Wow! I’ve never seen this AW closing sequence with an alternative version of the 1981-87 theme before. Thank you for sharing this! I was going to ask if you have the AW episode from the same date containing this closing sequence but I’m sure (and I understand) that you probably do not have it. @@myfilmz WHO-TV in Des Moines, IA had AW at 2 pm, pre-empting MG-HS and DOOL in favor of an afternoon movie and a kid's local programming called "The Floppy Show"

Guiding Light had closing credits still after 2000
I found a :59 ending credits for Guiding Light with the lighthouse background from 2001
