I wasn’t born yet and I agree , nowadays it’s so depressing . Seeing my parents enjoy their youth seemed so amazing , I didn’t experience the same experiences. No phone , people were more engaged in life

It was a good day when they rolled out the long closing credits. Really, for all of them. AMC, ONE LIFE, RYAN’S, EDGE. Even LOVING. They all had epic closing credits. So theatrical.
This theme was the best GH ever put out! So sophisticated and yet the show was hip and edgy. It gave a professionalism you don't see today... And yet, it is embedded in our minds forever as a great memory!!
This theme, along with All My Children’s violin theme and One Life to Live’s theme (Not sure of name but it starts out “Here’s What to Do When You Don’t Find the Rainbow’s End..This Time...); along with The Price is Right theme & cues; bring to mind memories of the more “pleasant” side of being home from school sick during the ‘80’s.
I love this theme song from the longest running Soap opera of all time is General Hospital on ABC in 1976 the year I was born Genie Francis was a great actress and a well respected woman on television too!!!! I watched it every day after school when I was growing up!!!!! Thanks for posting this video!!!! I love it!!!! I love the 70s!!!! Can you dig it!!!!!!
Speaking of the great Genie Francis, I vividly remember her TV wedding to the equally great Anthony Geary in '81 because my mother was a gigantic GH fan! I was in fourth grade that November! She and her equally talented real life hubby Jonathan Frakes from Star Trek The Next Generation just recently celebrated their 35th anniversary!
Those days where when GH had it's premier cast! And for those who aren't or weren't aware, that cast included the awesome Rick Springfield for a couple years before he left in early 1983! It was his exposure on GH that helped generate the popularity of "Jessie's Girl" during the summer of 1981 which made him globally known! I remember well about those days while i was in grade school (was in between 3rd and 4th grade that summer) because my mother was the biggest GH fan i knew! I dont think she missed a day of it for a couple decades stretch!
What was that storyline? I remember the character because my mother would watch it some during this time, but she was devoted all the way to ONE LIFE TO LIVE.
@@barebackslut600Grant Putnam seeked vengeance against Robert Scorpio who he blamed for the love of his life Celia and her death, it took a few years for him to come back to get vengeance and he went to those closest to Robert, so Anna became his prey and victim and hostage of whom he kidnapped to bring Robert face to face with him. Yes definitely a great story.❤
There are four actors from those credits that are still on payroll.. Leslie Charleson.... Tristan Roger's... Kin Shriner and Emma Samm's anticipated return!🎉🎉

Wow!! The cast crawl ended at 46-seconds. And there was a beauty-shot until 1-minute/38-seconds!! They would never do that today! Too damn greedy!! That would be about $200k in lost revenue!!
i wish these times never left---1980's truly a memorable decade
Listening to this does make me long for those days.
@BruhTV much good health to you sir! absolutely, really sad how bad things have gotten since the great decade of 80's left us!

It's the Peabo Bryson theme! OLTL
Peabo Bryson came on the show and sang it. The theme was used from 1984-91.
I’m British and adore old American daytime soaps. They’re so over the top.
Please stay tuned for “The Edge of Night” next on ABC!
No doubt voiced by the legendary Ernie Anderson.
