This is absolutely beautiful! Did you arrange the wood blocks at random? Or was there some thought and rearranging done?

Hi! Thank you :) I tried to make "a wave" where the light goes from light to darker... and then happy accident happen and it became a fish🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😄 I arranged them by groups and went from darker, slowly adding some browns between dark blue till it flown into the light. The closing was where I messed up a bit 😄 but it's art! So you can do whatever you want. I'm happy with the result

Hi April! How effective is this wall art as a sound diffuser? I couldn't find much info about that pattern but I've always liked the slanted wood look, but wasn't sure if it was effective

Hi Myrriane! I wish I could tell you, but I simply don't know, I just use it as art on the wall. I think if you want it to work as sound diffuser you'd need to make it larger to cover bigger portion of the wall. I hope this helps

Nice work. The only thing I can think of to try and speed it up would be to clamp a stop block where you need it, instead of marking with a line, then you wouldn't need to worry as much about getting things lined up for your cut. I'm trying something similar (mainly smaller), so I'll get to see if I'm just talking out my rear or not. Also putting painters tape on the back of your wood can help prevent tear out, at least from my experience. Nice video, love the results!

Thank you😊 and thanks for your suggestions! I usually use the stop block when there are the same cuts but since I had to change the angle on miter saw every other time, I don't see how I could use the block. I think it's more efficient to make those cuts on table saw

That Stargard screw should’ve come loose that easily. Glad nothing bad happened.
I love scrap bin projects. Creativity really shines due to the limited materials and sizes

I couldn't agree more!!! Scrap wood projects are the best! Thank you! I got lucky that nothing bad happened. I guess the screw was worn out after few years of use🤷🏻‍♀️
