You should really use the correct sizing rather than Mod Podge when using gold or any other kind of leaf. And a soft bristled brush. Trust me, it makes it easier on you😊 Still,you made a really pretty mirror🥰

I was very interested in your project, but I couldn’t stand the dance music! I would have to turn up the volume really loud to hear what you had to say and then the music started blaring! Maybe I’m an old fart, but it was giving me a panic attack. I wish it was different. I couldn’t even finish the video. I’m sorry. In my opinion, it would be better just to hear the drills and the sauce cut then that music. Maybe younger people enjoy that and I just need to move on. Thanks anyway.

It's absolutely stunning! <3 My craftroom/office is the exact same colour, and I painted everything -the ceiling the trims, the doors etc. I love it every time I step into the room haha. I am currently pregnant with my first born and want to do trim on the wall and ceiling - it will be my first attempt! But this video makes me want to do it even more!

I recently bought a circular saw tracksaw guide to help me make cuts

rules: 1. make perfect blueprint (laziness is bad as you will have to think more where and why without good blueprint) 2. cut each part 3. round corners 4. prime and paint 5. assemble

How much did it cost?

I started doing the same gold leafing you are doing back in the 1960's. You may have different results but I found if I used a soft, 1.5-Inch wide paint brush, the look was quite smooth with much less flaking. You were using the blunt end of the round brush with what looked like stiff bristles and were pouncing, which left hundreds of little pointy marks on portions of the gold leaf. My best results came from holding the softer bristle wide brush at a 45-degree angle and using a light stroking motion. I had much less gold leaf flaking off as well. In any event, you were brave, had fun and have a beautiful mirror. Your friends will be impressed and amazed. Barbara in Dallas, Texas. 🌱🌺🌻🌸🌿
