The "Hitler was a bad/failed painter" thing isnt quite true: The Vienna school of art he applied to twice got over 2000 applications yearly and took in at most, 50 students. On his second application (while homeless, mind you) he came in 70th place out of 2000+. They did indeed say his people looked lifeless (the kind of thing you might learn in an art school) but highly complimented his buildings to the degree that they suggested he attend an affiliated school of architecture, and even offered him a letter of recommendation there. He thought this civic job would be too similar to his customs officer fathers (who he hated) and eventually decided to get involved in politics, instead.
Hitler is not a good painter, in the book "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William L. Shirer in 1956, it said his drawings in Vienna according to accounts are cheap. The Vienna academy of fine arts actually released the classification list which says hitler "test drawing unsatisfactory", and in Mein Kampf hitler recalled that "That gentlemen (from the examination)assured me that the drawings I had submitted incontrovertibly showed my unfitness for Painting [...] the Academy's School of Painting was out of the question." Another reason he didn't go to the Architecture school is because he's afraid his failure to graduate from high school may block his entry into the architectural school. Interestingly he didn't immediately commit to politics but did odd jobs like shoveling snow, beating carpets, etc. and only did it after World War I since the German army is highly political, and they organized him to be an investigator plus orator.
Fun fact: Implying that Hitler was a bingewatcher can lead to other conclusions. The famous Looney Tunes Big Chungus episode came out in 1941, and if Hitler was alive until 1945 that means there is a chance Hitler may have seen Big Chungus with his very own eyes. Edit: 1941, not 1940.

A lot of these facts pose a very interesting psychological discussion about everyone’s favorite mass murderer. It’s easy to see him as this murder obsessed killer when in his mind he truly thought he was doing the right thing. You can tell by the way that he treated animals that he thought they were innocent creatures that deserve protecting. It’s weird to even think about him having compassion at all considering what he did to millions of people. Honestly it’s more terrifying to realize that he wasn’t just some mindless monster hellbent on destruction, but a man capable of compassion who truly thought he was riding the world of evil for the betterment of everyone. It’s a interesting case study on how badly biases and a lack of challenging ideas can lead to unchecked brutality. It proves that you could take any slightly racist old man from a nursing home (no matter how sweet or kind) and give him unchecked power to do what ever he wants, and untold horrors could occur.
Actually I have read about him being well aware of the fact that his propaganda was so effective and even used to laugh how easily people were manipulated
Everyone so quick to accept the fact that history is written by the Victors, but bend over backwards to accept the "Hitler was just an evil genocidal maniac and for no reason".
I actually had a discussion about this in my Educational Psychology class last semester. We were going through the levels of moral development in one lesson and the professor asked whether Hitler would place on the lower or higher ends of moral development. The class mostly collectively concluded that while Hitler was more than likely on the higher end of moral development (I.E. where a person in question has their own list of actions that they feel is moral) some of those actions to us were highly immoral, such as the imprisonment and genocide of minorities, ethnicities, ideological groups, and political enemies.
The fact that they used actual German as well as common designs, architechture and fonts used at that time makes you realize how much effort they put into details.
Seeing a villain doing horrible thing is upsetting, but seeing a villain doing wholesome things just makes it unsettling. Hitler was just a person, and any person could follow down the path he went down if the circumstances were met.
Hitler simply implemented the natural European Nazism, seasoned with pseudoscientific theories of that time. He was not the only criminal, and not even the worst. The same Holocaust that then, that in our days - was done by the Western Ukrainian Nazis. Then they were supported by a racist theory, now a democratic one. But the essence is the same - a misunderstanding of the meaning of human rights and the value of human life.
Western propaganda needs to justify Hitler in order to legalize the new outbreak of Nazism and the ongoing holocaust. Therefore, Love, Death and Robots, or such terrible Nazi propaganda as the film Jo-Jo Rabbit.
Hitler also never visitied a concetration camp he also was a "hobby" arcitect. But for real s*x dolls are way better than r*ping for way through europe. Looking at you soviet union *Stalin.

I don't know what happens after death because I'm not religious believer.... but I think that all souls are equal pure energetic masses.... the physical body is just doesn't matter at all and the soul is different.... probably there's karma cosequences for your actions in this human existence and your soul will pay in a different way and that way is that "you will never find the peace and you're condamnated to be reincarnated and reborn over time" who know, maybe Hitler's soul find the eternal peace or maybe no!
i was expecting this to be like, completely educational and documentary or dictionary-like, but those occasional sarcasm or humor really made this a lot funnier. gorgeous animation too.
It's time to stop seeing Hitler as a faceless, emotionless monster and humanize him because it's important to see him as a real human like us. So that we never forget that we are just like him and just as capable of committing such atrocities. Being self aware is most important. We all have a darker side, most of us just don't see it or don't want to admit. I'd be willing to bet on a million dollars that you can find anyone that is pure hearted and unstained by sin. We all have some kind of sin in us. It is only a matter of degree. The only difference is that some of us show it more openly than others.
@@sullysquid674 That's not the point. It's how we tend to reduce evil to little more than a caricature and the fact that we will always think of ourselves as incapable of such evil.

7:32 also, the reason why he was let to join was because he wrote a letter to the US president explaining his situation. Basically a "Even his nephew fights Hitler! Join Uncle Sam now and save the world!"
And it was an absolutely great call by the school, because Hitler actually gushed about going to museums and spending more time taking in the building than looking at the artwork.
In an ideal timeline, he met Speers, they hit it of and became friends, and together became some of Germany's best architects of the century. War never happened, the man healed and never became such a monster.
That Iron Cross he wore... he served on the front lines in the trenches in WW1... the entire war, four years. After being wounded he begged to leave the hospital to be sent back to the front to help his friends.

@Rising×scorching×sun Calling Hitler a good leader because Germany was strong and rich is like calling George W. Bush a brilliant commander because the United States was unstoppable in the 2000s. Germany was already the number 2 military power in Europe at the time as long as they were given permission to build up, something that didn't take a great leader to do. Similarly they had a population bigger than Frances, their economic strength was never in question. They beat the French because the French government was weak and corrupt, and their military leadership abysmal, even insisting on communicating by letter rather than radio. The better question is how Hitler, in control of Germany, did such a bad job of leading them that the country ended up fighting a dozen enemies, blowing a tremendous lead, and literally split in two at the end. Hitler's great political "genius" was telling Germany to do its thing, but none of his actual policies were nearly half as effective as he made them out to be, not to mention most of the good that came out of his time leading were holdovers from the previous government finally coming to fruition.
6:40 Not entirely true. Hitler did fire a lot of his generals, but he also expected a lot of them to commit suicide rather than "live with humiliation". And not committing suicide could cause a general's family being sent to concentration camps.
thats all good and nice untill you realize stalin personally had 8 out of 10 generals executed, 13 out of 15 field marshalls executed, and many more during the great purge(s). I mean, you can actuallly argue that stalin is worse than hitler, hes got a higher kill count, worse concentration camps (gulag system)

Then you look at the world now and realise he was right, funny how that works.😌

I really love the animation style, it’s like cartoonish wholesomeness but for non wholesome people
i was expecting this to be like, completely educational and documentary or dictionary-like, but those occasional sarcasm or humor really made this a lot funnier. gorgeous animation too.
I agree too much with this

This was perfect for William and the allies cause now he was saved (at least from execution back in home) and he was also used as propaganda for the allies. Basically a "Even his nephew fights Hitler! Join Uncle Sam now and save the world!"
In the art academy he was actually told he had a greater talent for architecture and to focus on that. Which he later did.
And it was an absolutely great call by the school, because Hitler actually gushed about going to museums and spending more time taking in the building than looking at the artwork.

@Rising×scorching×sun I'm fascinated which ones you think are
@Rising×scorching×sun please tell us which ones are which?
Adolf hitltg
thats all good and nice untill you realize stalin personally had 8 out of 10 generals executed, 13 out of 15 field marshalls executed, and many more during the great purge(s). I mean, you can actuallly argue that stalin is worse than hitler, hes got a higher kill count, worse concentration camps (gulag system)
