The "Hitler was a bad/failed painter" thing isnt quite true: The Vienna school of art he applied to twice got over 2000 applications yearly and took in at most, 50 students. On his second application (while homeless, mind you) he came in 70th place out of 2000+. They did indeed say his people looked lifeless (the kind of thing you might learn in an art school) but highly complimented his buildings to the degree that they suggested he attend an affiliated school of architecture, and even offered him a letter of recommendation there.
He thought this civic job would be too similar to his customs officer fathers (who he hated) and eventually decided to get involved in politics, instead.

Hitler is not a good painter, in the book "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William L. Shirer in 1956, it said his drawings in Vienna according to accounts are cheap. The Vienna academy of fine arts actually released the classification list which says hitler "test drawing unsatisfactory", and in Mein Kampf hitler recalled that "That gentlemen (from the examination)assured me that the drawings I had submitted incontrovertibly showed my unfitness for Painting [...] the Academy's School of Painting was out of the question." Another reason he didn't go to the Architecture school is because he's afraid his failure to graduate from high school may block his entry into the architectural school. Interestingly he didn't immediately commit to politics but did odd jobs like shoveling snow, beating carpets, etc. and only did it after World War I since the German army is highly political, and they organized him to be an investigator plus orator.

Fun fact: Implying that Hitler was a bingewatcher can lead to other conclusions. The famous Looney Tunes Big Chungus episode came out in 1941, and if Hitler was alive until 1945 that means there is a chance Hitler may have seen Big Chungus with his very own eyes.
    Edit: 1941, not 1940.

I went to a community college to study culinary arts, I was extremely lucky to be taught by a really accomplished individual who made it to become head chef of the Whitehouse. He had many stories, but in relevance to this vid, there was one experience when he was a young apprentice traveling around Europe to study under masterful chefs and bakers . One such baker, was the personal baker of the Austrian Painter. My head chef had to be in his early 20s while the baker maybe had some years in him still at the time. This baker told his experience with "the painter" and the local he operated at, a villa on top a mountain. Made all kinds of sweets and desserts, ofc he was that close to the painter. The baker would often come down from the mountain to pick various herbs and such at grew at the foothills, and it was routine for him. But one day, the villa had switch to new guards who didn't know about the baker's usual routine. And so, aimed their weapons at him and ordered "hands up". The baker did so, but the new guard had fired at him injuring him, the guard took the middle and ring fingers off the baker's hand. When word got out about the incident, the guard supervisor quickly found out what happened, to say that the supervisor chewed out the new guard is an extreme understatement, cuz he wasn't seen again (assuming he was sent to frontline duty 😶). My head chef, who I failed to mention was a born and raised during the red scare American, also mentioned that the baker hanged in his office (or something like that) a photo of him and the Austrian Painter side by side. My Head chef said verbatim "it was weird".

    • @eliasvonbrille
      @eliasvonbrille 5 місяців тому

I think the Photo is somewhat understandable.
It's a great accomplishment to be the Personal Head Chef of a Big authority like this no matter if they are good or bad.
It's simply a testament to his skill and something he can certainly be proud of.
That being said if he was Hitlers Personal Head Chef he was also likely quite the Nazi 😅😂

A lot of these facts pose a very interesting psychological discussion about everyone’s favorite mass murderer. It’s easy to see him as this murder obsessed killer when in his mind he truly thought he was doing the right thing. You can tell by the way that he treated animals that he thought they were innocent creatures that deserve protecting. It’s weird to even think about him having compassion at all considering what he did to millions of people. Honestly it’s more terrifying to realize that he wasn’t just some mindless monster hellbent on destruction, but a man capable of compassion who truly thought he was riding the world of evil for the betterment of everyone. It’s a interesting case study on how badly biases and a lack of challenging ideas can lead to unchecked brutality. It proves that you could take any slightly racist old man from a nursing home (no matter how sweet or kind) and give him unchecked power to do what ever he wants, and untold horrors could occur.

The class mostly collectively concluded that while Hitler was more than likely on the higher end of moral development (I.E. where a person in question has their own list of actions that they feel is moral) some of those actions to us were highly immoral, such as the imprisonment and genocide of minorities, ethnicities, ideological groups, and political enemies.

Hitler simply implemented the natural European Nazism, seasoned with pseudoscientific theories of that time. He was not the only criminal, and not even the worst. The same Holocaust that then, that in our days - was done by the Western Ukrainian Nazis. Then they were supported by a racist theory, now a democratic one. But the essence is the same - a misunderstanding of the meaning of human rights and the value of human life.

It's time to stop seeing Hitler as a faceless, emotionless monster and humanize him because it's important to see him as a real human like us. So that we never forget that we are just like him and just as capable of committing such atrocities.
Being self aware is most important. We all have a darker side, most of us just don't see it or don't want to admit. I'd be willing to bet on a million dollars that you can find anyone that is pure hearted and unstained by sin. We all have some kind of sin in us. It is only a matter of degree. @Rising×scorching×sun Calling Hitler a good leader because Germany was strong and rich is like calling George W. Bush a brilliant commander because the United States was unstoppable in the 2000s. Germany was already the number 2 military power in Europe at the time as long as they were given permission to build up, something that didn't take a great leader to do. Similarly they had a population bigger than Frances, their economic strength was never in question.
They beat the French because the French government was weak and corrupt, and their military leadership abysmal, even insisting on communicating by letter rather than radio.
The better question is how Hitler, in control of Germany, did such a bad job of leading them that the country ended up fighting a dozen enemies, blowing a tremendous lead, and literally split in two at the end.
Hitler's great political "genius" was telling Germany to do its thing, but none of his actual policies were nearly half as effective as he made them out to be, not to mention most of the good that came out of his time leading were holdovers from the previous government finally coming to fruition.

From what I’ve seen they look good at first glance but there’s a lot of issues in the perspective lines. Looking at the windows on some of his pieces they look very out of place, it’s no surprise he didn’t get accepted.

What about Obama? :) This is a politician who killed several million people. He promised that he would deal with official torture, but decided to continue to torture. He supported the rise of the Western Ukrainian Nazis (completely similar to Hitler), and this led to the destruction of an entire region in Europe.
