Ingredients -3 zucchinis, grated -0.5 tbsp salt -Small handful picked dill-2 spring onions, sliced thin-2 eggs - 100g flour - 1 tsp baking powder-Ground black pepper-Oil for cooking - 4 tbsp yogurt - Zest of 1 lemon Method 1. Start by salting the grated zucchini, mix well and set aside for 15 minutes. 2. To make the dipping sauce, mix the yogurt, 1/2 of the dill (cut fine), and lemon zest and season with salt and pepper. 3. Place the spring onions and the rest of the cut dill into a bowl, then squeeze as much liquid as you can from the grated zucchini and add to the bowl. 4. Crack in 2 eggs, add the flour and baking powder and season with salt and pepper, mix until you have a smooth batter. 5. In a large frying pan over medium heat, heat the olive oil. 6. Add heaped spoons of the batter to the pan while still maintaining a gap between each one. 7. Fry for 4-5 minutes and when golden brown flip and cook for a further 5-6 minutes or until cooked through.8. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towel. Serve with the dill yogurt and enjoy!

May I request a Navratan Korma with Amritsari Kulcha please? I tried it in Amritsar and was absolutely enamoured with it. Its so good that if I could eat it everyday I would be vegetarian. Its absolutely delicious. I hope you will like it too. I notice that you always cook and show appreciation for dishes from other cultures and with really good recipes too. Plus seeing both of you together is very nice and heartwarming. Ps. Yall are my fav chefs and don't hold out on the paneer haha.
Oh I love Dill in a dip! I make mine with Greek yogurt and a touch of garlic & onion powder.... If I want to stretch it I would add drained chop't water chestnuts.... I will have to try it in zucchini fritters!! Yummy... I usually have it over mixed sliced beets and potatoes.
@@rring44 there's a lot i can recommend but still, if there's a restaurant that serves indonesian food, not going there is the best option. I recommend go for simple stuffs that you can make at home like STMJ, sinom, bubur kacang ijo, gado-gado, nasi pecel, bubur madura, tahu tek, tahu telor, roti bandung, etc P.s : check the ingredients first to see if there's anything you're allergic to or not. If there is, then forsake that recipe and go for another. There's a lot of indonesian cuisines, no need to risk your health. Also make sure the recipe you follow is made by an actual indonesian cause well, you know how uncle roger roast jamie oliver :D

Omg. My Nonna used to make something similar. In Italian we called it fiore di googootz. She fried up the zucchini flowers from the garden. Omg they were soooo good! Cheers mate! That’s for the warm memories this morning!
Make cucumber dill yogurt for falafel. Can use the dill for salmon with dill, butter and lemon. Homemade tartar sauce, I like mine with dill. Make dill pickles. Potato salad with dill aioli.

A great tip for extracting the moisture out of zucchini is salting the shredded zucchini, letting it sit for a couple of minutes and then wrapping it in a piece of cloth and pressing all the water out

My mom made this all the time in the summer when I was growing up. It is delicious! She would also put crumbled feta cheese inside or on the side, if we had any in the house. Also similar recipe with potatoes in place of zucchini. Thank you for all the great recipes.
In Türkiye this food is called as "Mucver", if you want something more traditional you can do this with mint, fresh onion, parsley and dill without zucchini, then it will be "Occe". I make something similar in summer too. But usually zucchini and yellow summer squash, maybe a carrot and onion and a potato all from the garden and made into jeon(korean pancakes) ill have to try it with the dill as we usually just use 1000 Island dressing or maybe buttermilk ranch for dipping. But I grow dill too. Dill and lemon is a favorite on fish here.
Guess we'll never find out where all that dill came from. One of life's unsolved mysteries.
