Bellroy Venture 22L Bag Review! Is this the best hybrid bag?

- Bellroy makes insanely good bags and their look and material never cease to amaze. The new Venture 22L bag is an incredible good hybrid bag for just about anything you need. Minimal travel works perfectly you can easily fit a medium packing cube, tech kits and your toiletry items while still saving room for other small accessories! For EDC there are plenty of internal and external pockets making it easy to have all your items exactly where you need. Although the opening and closing can take a few times to get used to I think overall this bag checks every box!

Received my nightsky two days ago. I can confirm they fixed the sliding straps. It also comes with clip-on strap keepers. The straps won't slides even with the clip-on strap keepers removed.

Ooo that’s tough. I honestly really love this pack. It’s in my top 5 of all times favorites so I’d have to pick this one.

Thank you for another great review. I ordered this bag before I had seen any reviews, and was leaning towards a different Bellroy backpack. Then the Venture went on sale - in Ranger Green only (that's the color I wanted anyway) - for $70.00 less than the Black or Blue. Obvious No Brainer, but I really did want THIS backpack on first sight.
Anyway, you sold me on the Peak Designs packing cube. I've got one of those coming too. Well done.
any issues with the shoulder straps loosening by itself over time?
Yeah, I can see those front latches getting worn out. I hear Bellroy has a pretty good warranty though, but it’s still a hassle.
One other UA-cam reviewer complained about the shoulder straps loosening on their over time, or when stretching their arms outwards - have you noticed anything similar with your product?
Not at all and this is my current edc bag so I’m using it every single day. I only love it more and more honestly.
Gentle Update -
After three months of owning the bag, in general, it is very nice.
However, my initial concern (comment) is real - the shoulder strap adjustment buckles have weakened, terribly. The backpack slips down with any little twist and turn at this point, rendering it very uncomfortable and frustrating to wear. I'm on the verge of the no longer using it, but currently working with Bellroy to see how they can remedy this.
So, just a heads up to anyone interested in this backpack, or other products with these buckles - this can be very annoying thing to deal with, although it may seem incredibly minor. Hopefully batches other than mine do not have this problem.
I prefer the Transit Workpack over the Venture 22L due to the seperate Laptop/tech compartment and it is a little bit cheaper in price. Not a fan of the flap opening.
Like the bag. Ewww don’t like those shiny aqua guard zips. Would prefer matte or no aqua guard all together. Nice review. I like it though.

I was wondering if Gus would noticed the obvious Pineapple in the background lol - Great review of the bag; Not sure a big fan of the green color but the black looks intriguing regardless of features. Will check it out for sure!

Thank you for the review! I’m strongly considering this bag (vs the Transit Workpack). Question: are there zippers at the bottom of each front flap zipper when closed as in the Apex backpack?
I want this bag, I already own transit workpack and I love it for work. The separate tech area for a tech pouch and laptop makes it a great work bag especially for carrying a mobile office around during this time of remote work. This venture bag I think I would use for another use case since it doesn’t have a separate tech area in it.
@@EduardoLopez-tged that space for tech pouch of the Transit Workpack is really innovative when it comes to mobile office carry, do you think that tech area can accommodate a mirrorless camera paired with a prime lens when not as used as a tech pouch carrier? Thank you.

Mine is just barely loose, not enough to loosen by themselves though. It’s more like they are too sensitive to the angle you pull or put tension on them at

There were some concerns about the loosening straps which so many people found annoying. Did you have that problem or they already fixed it?
Mine started to do it a little but on the new venture ready pack they definitely fixed it.

Thanks for this nice review ! I wondered if one of the side pocket could fit some small sling bag (Bellroy Sling Mini, Moment MTW, Aer city sling 2, Alpaka tech case...) or some slim organiser ? Could anyone could give it a try ?

Slim organizer yes (such as the Bellroy pencil case plus. Bit of a tight fit though. A sling not so much, unless it’s a Lite Sling rolled up!
@@betodrk Thanks for your answer ! I just purchased one and indeed it's a tight fit for a sling unfortunately, even though those pockets are quite spacious. Bellroy pencil fits with room to spare. I might return it and give the Boundary Supply Errant a chance with its commuter pocket...

I think so! As long as you didn’t try to also put a tablet in there.

I don’t think so. It’s only fitted for a 16” MBP.

Shiny zippers always scream to me "super water resistant!" (cuz, for functional reasons, that's why there are that way)
