Second that. Just got the Tier V today: as shown in this video, guns are accurate. I think it is vertical dispersion, making it easier to hit skinny ships like destroyers. Range seems to be high-average for the tier. Glad they didn’t nerf everything for the ASW gimmick, always going to be situational.
Gun range was nerfed in some devblog to 16km. The UI didn’t show it correctly in port.
they did buff the concealment so thats kinda nice

Hey PQ, your outro card seems a bit -messed up- creative.
Also, it's really nice seeing youtubers/streamers/creators/etc reflecting on their own mistakes and acting on them. That reaction is understandable, and - while I'd prefer a bit of research before the vid - mistakes happen to all of us. Also, it's a first impressions vid - "going in blind" is kind of a point; I'm interested what your opinion will be after more play.
What was wrong with the outro card? "KS For Wat" makes perfect sense. (He is Canadian, after all. He's writing in Canadian English, which is complete gibberish to everyone. Like pig Latin. Its Canadian bacon latin. ;)

This line feels like if didn't had the antisubmarine gimmicks it would be another average he spam cruiser line, as if the game didn't already have a lot of these
I think that this line will somehow suite me, the T9 and T10 are giving me Hindy vibes which I like alot.
Anti Sub is a bonus too.
This line seems interesting. I think that wargaming needs to fully invest in the sub thing and really boost its ASW and sub radar
While the line seems decent, I did notice that in true WG fashion, they pretended to nerf subs by giving anti-sub equipment to a line that doesn't want to play close enough to actually spot subs lol. It's a ranged HE spammer; it doesn't have any of the things like armor, maneuverability, AP or turret angles/rotation speed you need to play close enough to get to subs. As you'll probably notice, the sub detection equipment was never able to spot a single sub in any of these videos for this line... because unless a sub is dumb enough to come near this line, they can't survive close enough to the enemy to get within range of subs.
At this point I wouldn't be surprised to see them give sub surveillance to the bungo or carriers while giving subs some other (supposedly) smaller buff; they coddle their poor wittle sub players so much.
Just bought up to Caradoc in the Commonwealth Line, tomorrow to the Dunedin. Will buy up to the Delhi with tokens but I want to grind the rest of them!
- Side note : In a Tier VII-VIII game I was driving my new Baltimore and saw an Auckland coming around an island and into view . . . I citadelled a 75% health Auckland to death in one salvo at 11 km. Admittedly, I was in a Balti. Still, keep that bad boy angled 'cause she iz squishy!
I'd like to think Auckland will be as good as the Albemarle at Tier VIII as they do seem to be siblings . . .
. . . yup, that is the same hull as Albemarle; and the same citadel.

P.s. : I just figured out that I won't be able to grind the Commonwealth Cruisers. Not until after the event, and I will have (at best guess) up to Uganda by that point. I'm . . . . . . disappointed. I was looking forward to grinding the line with everyone else for the first time. (note: Noob, been playing about six months)

- I played Caradoc and Dunedin once each this morning; oy, my skills have improved since I played the Caladon and Danae back in October. I was never a fan of the C or D class ships, so I played them once each . . . played them very well, too 😂🤣. I will buy Delhi with tokens and grind her out anyway.
@@OldThomMerton You get encounter from the premium containers lmfao. pity at 20 containers and a 1/3 chance to get it or the perma camos. in the progression line you skip encounter and just go from Auckland to the Cerberus which is very shit but smh WG doing WG things

Imagine playing this thing uptiered into tier 9 and 10 matchmaking with hyperaccurate monsters like Bungo and Vermont or unkillable bricks like Colombo and Kremlin. All of which have guns that can one shot you with ease considering that huge citadel. Must be brutal.

It's funny to me how they took Albemarle and basically upgraded it in every sense and put it on the same tier.

I lost a german T9 DD on my flank and was left alone on my own against full health T10 Marceau & Gearing and a Richthofen, I manage to torpedo kill the Gearing and eventually got the Maceau at the cost of most my health, The Richthofen finished me off! But this little T8 did well against the 3 T10's it faced.

Took a look at the Cerberus, you could prolly spec IFHE and then take demolition expert and retain a 10% fire chance while dumpstering ships with 40mm deck armors at ranges past 12kms, and since you have enough shell volume to compensate for lack of fast reload you could prolly just replace the aiming systems mod with a smoke mod or somethin like that
Ah yes, the T8 cruiser with heal powercreep. I guess this is weegee admitting that cruisers are unplayable without it lol. I think nearly all of the recent cruiser lines that were released have heals at T8 or lower lmao.
Jinan line, San Martin line, Gouden Leeuw line, Marseille line, Castilla line.
Only Yodo line doesn't, which is fitting because Yodo is terrible.

Even when you angle in these ships, they just explode.
I think the damage is better at tier 8 because you have 203s at tier 8 rather than 203s at tier 10. You don't have a higher caliber of gun, but you are facing ships that have better armor.
ironically, you could have used the sub surveillance at the start of your second match to give the farragut an idea of where the sub was heading after he dived beyond periscope depth, whilst taking about it lol. i guess its getting used to the new feature
Good video, though the thing about cruisers is most times you aren’t carrying games. Random silliness decides who wins, regardless how well you cruiser. Not a class to buff win rate unless you’re div-ed up.
Wel the ship preformed wel in its own tier. But unfortunately you got a lucky matchmaking. Normally tier 8 wil be up against tier 9 and 10 allot. But nice video man keep it up!

For WG to fix the camos, they would probably need an art department.
These cruisers are going to be insane in the console version, we have si many good perks for smoke cruisers, more damage, reload, less smoke fire penalty and less damage all of the when you are inside a smoke.
Auckland here looks like she's a Neptune, but without the auto-loaded turrets, bigger caliber guns, and other changes I'm not too read up on.

If you want a good ASW CA, then you spend the 4 points and pick up RDF to compliment. It would give a severe edge over most subs. But you will have to give up something. I like it when you can play around with builds. It looks like a decent Jack of All trades CA. I like that playstyle.
Checked it today, though the ships looked cool and everything, the armor is about worrisome, just imagine if this got focused fire, you'll get yeetus deletus from matchmaking.

Unfortunately You cant get it with spending Dubloons. Not sure it is worth spending money for an early access ship.
14:05 I don't know why you refused to use your smoke, when the BB would of provided spotting. I do not think this ship is lackluster, but as a Perth player, I don't think you are getting the most out of the ship.

WG; we created a new ship line to hunt and kill subs.
PQ; 17:55 someone else finds a sub and PQ drops 3 ASW charges and gets 1 splash hit.................
Sitting back and HE farming might give good HE, but these ships don't seem to have any battle impact. You will be losing lots of battles despite getting good damage.
Do you think they will add the Anchorage back into the armory for Cole or steel or research points?

The DPS on this line looks a bit low. Maybe if the reload and turret traverse were better it wouldn't be so mediocre. Subs and carriers are just not fun to play. Every time I have tried them I've been frustrated. I have been enjoying the IJN alternate cruiser line. It feels like it has a bit better gun range and concealment than the main line.
The 8 certainly seems stronger at tier then the 9-10. Just waiting to see what happens when some BB actually tries to kill these ships.

Sub surveillance was always under water only, you clearly didn't play enough subs to fully understand, just like the sub's underwater ability, again it's only underwater

What’s the difference between crawling and regular smoke
The smoke follows you if you move slow and lasts like 3x as long as a normal stationary smoke in its deployment. pretty much just a walking dark zone for yourself
Cool, wanted a bit more torp action, and also sub counter but we cant script this game. range issue kinda, otherwise decent at cruiser aspects, just need to torp more and maybe look to light them underwater sausages right up. well played. Shame we only get Mysore rs in the new battlepass...another lame one.
176k damage is 'pretty good' for a T8 cruiser...

Subs have had submarine surveilance for a while, and it has never shown subs on the surface. People who don't play subs are just learning because they hadn't paid attention to how the consumable worked. It's on them.

I absolutely hated this ship. It's made out of tissue you paper, and the range I thought was lacking and the guns were meh. Maybe I'm just used to open water cruisers like yosh and Russian cruisers that can take some hits.
Day 4 waiting for Patrie secondary build.
I seriously hope you're joking. Secondary Patrie is a meme build at best. 2/3's of your secondaries are 100mm with 17mm of pen. DD's have 19mm of armour, or more, which means you can't even pen them unless you spec IFHE and even then you only get up to 21mm of pen while murdering your fire chance.

Yeah, maybe you should have known about surfaced subs not being detected, but thats no reason _not_ to be angry about a stupid mechanic that keeps subs from being spotted. F subs.

Early access from next update. But to get them you need to invest some cash, imho not worth it that much.
Full release to tech tree is in two patches. Grind for it then.
So this thing has 11s reload, 12km torps, smoke while Albemarle has 13s reload. Quite balanced ship.
I've been torp shotgunned way more often by DD's than I have subs. Subs aren't the problem, torpedoes are. I'm a new player (570 games) and I can clearly see this.
By DDs? Like were u behind an island or is it just some low-tier bad RNG that you couldn't kill the DD?
@@yufeination perhaps column A and B. I just see way more torpedo spreads from those little bastards than subs. Sure, torps are the subs only weapons and their stealth can be something that needs adaptation to, but, DD's can torp like crazy and run away flailing their arms like a screaming school girl in pigtails and little can be done. In my experiences, mind you
@capnchronic408 haha yeah. If in a game where they are not spotted and they have fast-loading torps it can be a drag. Usually just playing with my speed and rudder can Usually dodge some of the torps. All the more reason to shoot at them when they r spotted. Any hit on a DD is a good hit. 👍
if your are new why do you think you know better? Every good player in this game will tell you that subs are broken. Even the top 5% sub players will tell you this straight up. Torp DDs are only a problem for new players who sail in straight lines / predicatable manner. Play dds yourself to learn how to counter them.
