- The Spyderco Para 3 folder with a satin finish S30V blade steel is a very popular design for EDC (Every Day Carry). Mainly, because it comes with the revolutionary Spyderco compression lock and thumb hole opener combo. The Para 3 was my first pocketknife that I've ever owned and I religiously carry it since the summer of 2019. In my product review I also talk about its downsides. Plus, I compare my Para 3 to other popular Spyderco designs, such as the Paramilitary 2, or the Manix 2.

My Para 3 is in SPY 27. I like the S 110 steel that is in my PARA 2 and the Magnaut in my Manix 2 much better.

I like the Paramilitary 2 better because my hands are just a bit big for the Para 3. I do have a couple Para 3’s though and will keep them for when I don’t want to carry a longer knife.
You should try the Spydiechef. I have all the popular Spyderco models. I bought the Spydiechef November 2023. I have been carrying it non stop . I simply LOVE it.
