Fixing a 2005 R6 Turn Signal Switch

I decided to rebuild the turn signal switch on my R6 to hopefully solve an issue with the turn signals. I didn't think the switch would be the problem but I decided to start there since there would be no downside other taking the time.
I'd describe the issue as the turn signal doesn't hold or that it only flashes when held left/right.
If this didn't solve your issue you can follow the flow chart on page 8-35 of the user manual. TLDR it's check ignition/fuses, battery, switch, and wiring in that order.

Nice! I have one of these myself and have turn signal troubles. I’m fairly certain the actual turn signal is the issue but I watched regardless because I love component level repair. Even if it’s just a cleaning, it’s always nice to preserve/fix things instead of tossin em and buying more 👍🏼

Wow you have way more patience than me I wish I had watched this like a week or two ago lol destroyed my switch out of frustration ordered another used one on ebay it worked for two days then did the same thing I'm going to try to clean the original switch and re soldier the wire back on and see if I can fix it haha

I have the exact same issue with my bike as the first one. Did. I have an 04 r6. I'm going to do this today.

I have a wire short somewhere 😔 was sticky and fixed that but when I hold the wire in forcing it , it kinda works

What if you dont get any aaroms pooping up on the screen of the bike when you switch the turn signal selector
