I own this model too in the blue color. The design was way ahead of it’s time and with some tweaks, the bike still looks modern today. People don’t believe me when I say my bike is 17 years old. Then again, I wash it after every ride and the paint looks as good as new…
I have to agree with that! It's still a good looking thing! And if you add some modern lights and add ons it's by no means worse than a modern bike... Well except for the absence of ABS
Hey guys! Love the video ;-) I own a silver R6 2003 with some aftermarket goodies. I think the silver color together with blue color is a true classic. Never had a problem with my R6 and this machine still pulls HARD!! Even with my length (1.93m) I can still ride super comfortable.
Thats great man!! We actually have an R6 out of 2000' now for the channel! And indeed it pulls like crazy, still after 20+ years of service😜 Indeed the R6 is actually pretty comfortable for a super sports bike!
What should I look for on these 2003 r6, going to look at one soon and he’s asking 3,800 but I know I can’t get it for lower, I just don’t want a mistake lol
Hey man! What a coincidence, we have yet to announce that we actually started a Yamaha R6 project for Damn Fast! We are going to repair & rebuild a first gen R6 from 2000! In terms of the model you are refering to: these are great and dont actually have a lot of problems... The first gen has had problems with gearbox failures and cracked cylinderwalls, the second gen has neither of these problems. What kind of color do you want?
