I wish i found you back in the mid 2000's. My slave cylinder went to crap and no one mechanic the time had a solution/replacement to the clutch system as a whole since it was discontinued. Did you ever solve the slave cylinder leak problem or did you just change out the entire clutch system?

Wow you have way more patience than me I wish I had watched this like a week or two ago lol destroyed my switch out of frustration ordered another used one on ebay it worked for two days then did the same thing I'm going to try to clean the original switch and re soldier the wire back on and see if I can fix it haha

my display screens are lit but black when i unhook my 5v and put it back in the esp32 board my screens then work and the cameras are displayed anyone know why this could be or how to fix it?

Those diodes are going to get hot if you pull any current through them, maybe a low drop schotty will help or go with an ideal diode/mosfet based, also would put the wires up to protect from damage and getting wet

Awesome. Such a clean design too. Ryobi does make a 18v battery power station now, but at about $900. FWIW, what I’ve long wanted to make is a AC power to 18V ryobi battery adapter I could use for my ryobi air compressor. 4ah batteries last about 5 minutes on that thing. I have the skills, just don’t know what the peak power draw actually is to size the transformer and buck converter… although also thinking of just using a repurposed laptop power supply if that can put out enough amps…. Anyway, if you want a killer project, do that one!

Nice! I have one of these myself and have turn signal troubles. I’m fairly certain the actual turn signal is the issue but I watched regardless because I love component level repair. Even if it’s just a cleaning, it’s always nice to preserve/fix things instead of tossin em and buying more 👍🏼

How did you power the setup?

i did a similar config on mine without the switches. something i noticed was a phantom battery issue - if i left a slot unpopulated it would still show the testing flash on the empty slot. no issues charging when fully populated. switches are a good/easy way to get around the behavior tho. I like it.

After torturing myself reading the ETM for my 2001 Z3, I reached this summary: Ignition: 4 rt (hot ) 30=hot + 2.5 vi (acc ) r=acc, run or start .5 gn/ws (n/a ) 15i=run 2.5 gn (run ) 15=run or start 2.5 sw/ge (start ) 50=start instrument cluster: .75 br (gnd ) 31=gnd + .75 bl/ws (cluster) Meaning that: Red + Violet = Acc (permanent) Red + Violet + Green = Run (permanent) Red + Violet + Green + Black/Yellow = Start (momentarily) I don't like the 3 button sitiuation so I will Programm an esp32 chip to toggle/untoggle the Acc and Run switches automatically before/after i push the start button so that I will end up with only 1 button like modern cars. Also will hook it up to my phone via wifi

There is another noise these units make, Door price for anyone who knows what it is because I am baffled. Its a squekky noise. I have had it in 2 different units. Everything works but people say thats a sign the unit is going out. I don't think its the motor.

My flash download tool is doing that “stupid thing” and disconnect-reconnectinng the usb brings up an error message, no log file output. I dont if there is not enough voltage or something needs to get set to automatic mode. Also on other esp32’s the screen sometimes go dark with backlight on. The camera feed comes on randomly. Someone help!!!!!

my relay clicks and motor runs after installing brand new whole MBC, no beeping, i bled brakes, but when i push brake pedal it hold pressure for a sec and it sinks to the floor and when the motor turns back on it pushed the brake pedal back into pressure (if held with foot down whole time) what do i do? did i bleed it wrong? will it stop if bled right? im stuck

Nice video. Was wondering, when all batteries are "on", what the capacity of your power system is. Have you considered adding a bms system to manage all batteries health? What is the maximum load of your system when a device is connected to your 20 V outlet?

How did you maintain the water seal when running the wiring from the headlights to the ballast?

My motor turns on and primes but the buzzing brake warning and abs/vdc lights are on. I'm thinking it got low and sucked in some air do you think air in the system could cause the same warnings? Ty
