Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery!
Sheriff Lizzy lassoing a rogue T-Rex was clearly the best part of the promo part of this video....lol.
I wish I was that t-rex 😒
I couldn't agree more
😂
Oh my god! I was laughing so hard at that part!!!!!
Ans she knows what she is doing !!!
The look on Lizzy’s face when Matt said - go in a see if you can find Linda was priceless. She is learning customer service now 👍
Lizzy is a "Blonde" as the make'em ....... lolol What .... Huh .....
Is lizzy his daughter?
@@joseromero7844 niece I guess
Look on her face was priceless. LOL
She's my favorite
Your logic for not over heating is similar to my buddy's comment to me when I asked him if his tire was going flat and he said "no, it's just losing air."
It's only flat at the bottom.
Haha✌️
reminds me of Bill Engvall 👍👍
"You heard it straight from...........(thinks) ..... Jamie" LOL close call, man!
That's what I was thinking lmao..
Yawp, had me holding my breath! lol
yep, I was waiting for " the horses mouth " and the smacking to follow it. I was disappointed :(
I was WAITING FOR IT ..... lolol
Yep he thought about his answer first! 🤣🤣
From an 84 year old: These are the coolest videos on the net. Matt, Jamie and his crew are the greatest.
Best thing about this channel, is that they don’t portray themselves as perfect like 90% of UA-cam channels. Nor fake situations to make content.
did you see that dinosaur sneaking in? :D
Absolutely ! 100% agreed and its pretty educational Ive learned quite a bit more about off-roading and recovery from matt and his crew
Yes very educational. Today I learned that dinosaurs still live in southwestern Utah, and that cowgirls know how to lasso them.
@AJ you mean like 'so we got a call...'
Matt and Co. are great, but YT has really slid down hill lately.
Man, i wish i would know a girl like Lizzy. She's so awesome and always hard working. A great addition to the Matt's team.
I stumbled on this channel yesterday and I can say im happy I did. I've went to bed late last night watching your videos and can't wait to share it with my dad when I see him tomorrow, this is 100% something he would love to watch. Positive, hard working folks, doing something really awesome!
Thanks for the great content
-Mike
Loved Lizzie's yawn from the back seat. She's a keeper... almost as wonderful as Jaymie!
You guys hit it out the park with the promo usually skip through them but y’all did a good job
Its hard to find a youtube channel that dose ads well
My exact thought.
Don't encourage them. Everybody dislikes the ads and promos.
@@CMichaelLyle On this channel, I'm good with them. That was entertaining in of itself and these guys deserve the cash. If it means Matt and his family get to be even more successful, I'm all for it.

You gotta Drone operator, Camera crew, Weather reporter and 1 Hard Work'n Ropen Gal that listens!! 👍 Nice save on the "Horses Mouth" I saw the smack comin just like you!!🤣

Love your Show!!
I was impressed that Randy was pushing and filming at the same time.
The sign of a proper cameraman. Randy is a champion!
I agree, Randy is a class act and a fantastic camera-man...
SPONSORED VIDEOS!!! Making it big time now! Love to see it. Keep up the good work
And it was a fun promo! Usually it's just a dreary "let's go ahead and skip this part". They put the dino shenanigan at the perfect time and kept the whole thing quick, clear, and to the point.
That's one nice thing about my old Landcruiser, it has a cooling system that could have saved Chernobyl.
And it's a Toyota
Same with my 99 Tacoma. 21 years old and original radiator and A/C that has never leaked or needed any work on it at all. The most ive done is spray cleaner into the intake vents to get rid of mildew after heavy rains. I live in south Texas with triple digit temps in the summer. It helps that both cooling systems were designed to cool down a 4runner, and the smaller cab if a Tacoma is easier to cool with the A/C as well.
Mumblix Grumph
Yep, my 25 year old 80 oil burner has never overheated in 460k kms. 👍🏻🇷🇴🇬🇧
Yes a cooling system on an older Landcruiser works well I had a FJ40. Lots of space between the engine and a 4 core radiator plus vents in the side of the hood
Matt have you considered an oil cooler? Here in South Texas (over 100 everyday and humid) we add external oil coolers to both our automatics and engines. Takes the strain off the cooling system.... it’s like adding an extra core to the radiator.
I made a call yesterday. Had a flat tire, off road, out of cell service. We got a ride to where we could get service, and stayed there until the help arrived. It was cold and windy, but the cell was our life line. Glad you commented on what most people do. Love your videos!
the look on Lizzys face when she had to sit in the back seat ,,,,,,PRICELESS
@@BenDover-069. Creep.
One of the few great YT channels that’s drama free. And just fun to watch.
Your recovery trailer really is the bomb! I was a little bit of a skeptic at first when I watched your trailer build video. But after seeing other "stock" store bought trailers work the jeep rather than the jeep work the trailer, I saw the method in your madness. A boat trailer is naturally lighter. It also has a longer pull tongue than a standard trailer, keeping your jump box crib and the recovered rig safely distanced from your jeep on tight angles. Plus the tandem axles centered and rolled up high. Good job on the trailer Matt. I don't think the little trailer gets the recognition it deserves. It has put up with alot .
Especially after watching videos with the single axle he used. That thing was terrible. Makes this trailer look incredible.
I can't believe that people think you add drama. This channel has to be one of the most real ones out there with a one-take feel to it. Sure you edit a day down to 10-15 mins but you include your mistakes and show how you figured a way out of it for the win. If there is drama, its because people have not read the situation right and put themselves in a situation and now need help. Not everyone is good about asking for receiving help. Keep up the great channel.
What a great addition to the team Lizzy has been. Remember her first time on camera, 3 weeks ago? You'd never know. Cheers!
Love watching the recoveries but love looking at Lizzie
If Lizzie delivers it I'm in
Now weve seen a lot of simplisafe ads... THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST FUN, CREATIVE AND INFORMATIVE ONE IVE SEEN
My thoughts exactly!
To be fair I liked the one from Welker Farms too... the dinosaur was a nice touch here!
Matt: "Do I add drama to the videos?" "no way!"
*skips to a dinosaur thief getting tackled*
uhhhh.....
are you saying he added Dramasaur?
And the tip o' the hat and shiny sparkle on Lizzy's teeth. No sirree... no added drama.
Enjoyed the video.. most laughs I've had in a single video from you guys... Well done!
"This video sponsored by simplysafe" ugh. I just paid $35 for a hot-wheels car specifically because that kind of thing never happens on this channel. I appreciate that everyone has gotta make money but I bail on most channels when this typ of crap starts.
@@garretmaki2564 just skip it....
@AlaskaLive I am totally serious and I do understand. I just happen to like to watch channels that are about a certain subject and not just about making money, which is what this channel is quickly turning into. As I said I totally get it but it ruins the experience for me. No doubt the channel will gain 1,000 viewers for every one like me that is lost so no harm no foul. Just not my cup of tea.
The #1 thing I like about this channel is the LACK of drama and hyperbole. No yelling, no drama, just content. I won't watch channels that do that other stuff. That includes channels that appear to exist only to "show off" their expensive toys. I'm glad you don't have some fancy intro animation either. Just nice and simple. It's awesome.
Hey matt hope you see this, I have a jeep ZJ 4.0L myself and use it for lost of hot work. I have also found the fuel rail gets to hot and the engine runs badly, I worked out if you reap the rail as well as the supply line with the cheep silver heat tape you can completely stop this for only $5-$10. Just remember to get the supply pipe that's clipped to the under side of the intake as it also get to hot from running next to the manifold.
Hope this helps and keep up the good work.
My Father had a 1967 Rambler Ambassador sedan with a 327 V-8 in it. On the highway I remember it would occasionally vapor lock. One time he took his socks off and got some cloths pins and wrapped the fuel line up and clipped the pins on to hold them in place. By Golly she stopped vapor locking. My Mother said it was because it was from the sock stench.
handing out T-shirts after the tow is a nice touch!
Ms. Lizzy’s approach at the end was very diplomatic.
“You only get this when you make a call”!
"Once in a lifetime opportunity!" Very diplomatic. And, one hopes, accurate. :)

I have subscribed to this channel for a little while now, and absolutely love it. I am amazed at the beauty of the area you live in, right up to where you say what the temperature is that day.... and then screw that!
There are 2 jump packs siting on the bench during the Sherriff Lizzy ad.
yeah....unfortunately, one o/those packs didn't walk it's butt into the jeep w/them b/4 they left on that particular call. Stupid jump packs...they clearly aren't team players.

As a fellow tow brother I`m glad to see that people not answering their phones when you call, is not only a St. Louis Missouri problem. I get calls and the call says to call when in route, 10 minutes before or upon arrival and they don`t answer. i have had customers say why did`nt you call, when I tell them I did then the excuses start. Y`all do a very good job. great videos. Be safe Brother.
5:02 DONT SAY IT DONT SAY IT
How about a sign on the top of the trailer box with big letters 'JUMP BOX!'
People will wonder why he wants you to jump over the box.
The sign should be written backwards and visible from the rear view mirror 😂
No habla lol
That’s actually a good idea
Have you considered putting a battery in the box (I think you had one in the past) and add a solar panel charger to the top of the box. With all the sun you get the battery would always be “hot”. Very cost effective way to not have to “remember the jump box”.
Love how you look to Lizzy when it’s time to devise a new plan 🤣 We’ve been overheating too because of no shroud and no electric fan too! We stole a shroud from our ‘93 XJ and installed an electric fan override ❤️🐞
Talking about drama and Lizzy in the back seat is yawning, haha. I loved the little ditty of the last person that entered the yard and was caught both on tape and wrangled by sheriff lizzy ... great stuff.

The best recovery that I have seen Matt make, is when he almost compared Jaimee to a horse with his comment "You heard it right from, (stall, stall, stall)" {fade the camera to black, and avoid calling Jaimee a horse}. I laughed for five long minutes on that mishap,,😅

Great explanation on what people should do after making the call !!!...😉
I haven’t picked up on one second of manufactured drama on Matt’s channel-just calm, non-egotistical competence, kindness, humor and good will.
Install a 12 volt line to the rear of your Jeep and ditch the jump box.
Maybe install the 12 volt line but Keep the jump box. I think it's a teriffic idea to have an extra 12 volt supply to power the winch and to jump somebody off in case it's needed.
with a anderson 50amp connector
I have front rear jumper cables using same quick connects on my pick-em-up truck, that Matt uses on his jumper pac. Have 20 foot all copper jumper cables.
Have a storage unit I do a lot of work out of with 2 each group 24 deep cycle batteries to power my skill saw and air compressor with 1,500 watt inverter. Quick connects to rear of truck. 5foot #4 cables to batteries with an isolator on the + cable. Engine idling keeps batteries charged.
Solenoid on the winch is stuffed, the jump box is a quick fix that has worked to the point where Matt doesn’t need to fix it just yet. Maybe after he forgets the jump box for the tenth time, he might consider a more permanent fix.
Install another wire???? ARE YOU NUTS??? Matt can`t even keep the front winch working with his wiring. (sarcasm) bwahaha
AARGH!! Matt's perfect record of not having to rescue a Honda UTV has been shattered! And the same model I own, of course. Yes, it is under-powered. Yes, it doesn't have a front locker. Yes, it has almost no suspension travel. And yes, it has no business being run in the dunes. But for getting me up into the mountains on tight trails and never breaking down, it is absolutely wonderful. Drove mine today in the mountains of Idaho to scout for elk, and actually wore my Winder Towing hat.
Had to laugh when she grabbed the t-shirt from Lizzie.
Old School Jeep cooling trick. Use an old windshield washer. Place the nozzles so they spray on the front of the radiator. When you want extra cooling, push the button, flip switch or whatever. Spays water on the front of the radiator. Worked for me and my brother's Jeeps.
Matt and Crew: Thanks for watching
Me: Thanks for sharing your adventures with family and friends.
Are you writing a book or something?
The fan shroud is what makes the cooling fans and radiator work. Without the fan shroud you're actually getting a LOT LESS air going through the radiator. I learned that on my own XJ many moons ago. Now my TJ (with the similar 4.0 engine as yours) has a factory heat shield under the fuel rail and sandwiched between and above (if that makes sense) the exhaust and intake manifolds. They were having vapor lock issues back then and added a heat shield under the fuel rail, that is an aluminum/foam sandwich type. It's positioned between from about the second cylinder, back to the next to last cylinder. Good Luck!
The trex made me laugh
Honestly the reason why I like your channel: you're just an honest, hard working dude without any need for drama. Love it. And your dry humour. Stay as you are
I can’t be the only one who wants to see more wrenching on the Jeep

Have you considered adding an external engine oil cooler? Here in South Texas (over 100 everyday and humid) we add an external oil coolers to both the automatic transmission and the engine. On any truck working as hard as yours surely could use the help. I used to be a service manager, ASC mechanic and avid off-roader. We found everything you are doing helps but it looks like you are into the extreme end of cooling demands. This is beyond what the engineers planed for. So if you increase your cooling of the oil you are not demanding so much from the water cooling. How often are you changing the oil? Dose it get very dirty very quick? Smells burned just a little? Those are signs you are running very high oil temperatures. Think about adding an oil temperature gauge. The lower the oil temperature the better it lubricates. You have well over 200k on that truck, that means lots of bearing slack especially in the crank and rod caps. You need to be able to keep an oil film in place. If the oil is too hot it gets too thin to do a good job.
Another idea for all off-road trucks. Add a section of window screen in front of that new radiator. This will keep the bugs, grass and leaves from plugging it up. It may not help with the sand much. Just a thought is you may not want to splash water in the radiator it may encourage the sand to stick and clogging it up. I don’t have much desert sand experience so I would go by your experience.
You just need to run cables from the front battery of the jeep to a big jumper plug at the back, no need to worry about the jump box.
Anderson plugs. 👍

Love your videos, and seen every single one. I'm disappointed you're getting sponsored now. Both because I hate watching them(I pay for premium so I don't have to watch ads) and because it makes the content seem less genuine. I'm sure it will help you out financially and that's always good, but I hope you never forget where you came from. Good luck and congratulations.
The fact your a Drama free channel and you do things the Matt way.....
That's why we watch !
High, revs, high temps, dry heat, will ALWAYS cause an engine to run hot. It's normal. IDK why people think you have overheating issues. They must've Never been towing or offroading.
there's so many places in the US (let alone in the world) that are VERY DIFFERENT from the dry heat of where Matt does lots of his towing. If someone's never experienced it (or been close to someone who has, or researched it, etc.) it's easy to "keyboard warrior" based upon different background. "Such is life" and "par for the course" are good ways to sum it up.
All you need it an ATV 20amp hour battery for your trailer winch. Bolt it in the box, wire it up and use a small battery tender to keep it changed in between recovery's. Or add a pigtail from your trailer running lights to charge it. Also get you a pump up sprayer for when it is running hot.
Those darn random dinosaur dudes running around.

RDL: Another great video. Advertising for Simlpisafe was great also. Don't know why you don't put in a plug for Yankum Ropes every now and then. I bought mine because of you. Bought one for a friend for Christmas. I've got cables, chains, and straps in my truck, but nothing works like a Yankum Rope. Used mine yesterday to pull hay out into the pasture for the cows. It's so handy, works under many applications. Wouldn't take anything for mine. Love the video's, learned a lot by watching your techniques. Stay safe.
Broken RZRs keeps you guys busy. It's like you're being supported by Polaris.
Actually, all the broken RZRs are great advertising for the other brands. I notice UA-cam drops in a Can-Am ad during Matt’s videos.
Until you get the cooling issue resolved I would suggest a pump garden sprayer. It would use a lot less water and disperse the water over the radiator. More efficient than up-ending jugs.
Ah yes. Simplisafe. The alarm system that can be defeated with a $2 garage door remote.
No way! You can't get a garage remote for $2... but, yes, you can block their sensors from communicating with the base station by holding down the button on a remote that uses the same frequency. That's why I tell people not to put up their signs if your going to use them. You might as well put up a sign that says you don't have an alarm.
I bought a fake outdoor video camera and mounted it over the front door. If that doesn't stop them, a real system won't either.
You guys are doing a great job. Love the commercial normally I skip them. Great family and team spirit through the day no matter what .
Was that the Welsh flag I seen
Hey Matt. You could set up a second windshield squirter system between the radiator and condenser. Switch out the regular squirters for misters and you could wire it to to a temperature switch so you wouldn't need to think about it. When the radiator gets to 240 degrees or so the pump would automatically come on until the temp drops back below the threshold. I have the same issues with my TJ.
I like your second heater core idea, I might steal that.
