I wish I would have picked up crochet before my grandma passed away, she would've LOVED those pumpkins. Fall was her favorite time of year so I will definitely be making a bunch of those for my mom and aunt to add to their fall decorations.

The star pattern is nice done with doilly thread. Cute ornaments for Christmas tree. Snowflakes work out too. I make them to put in Christmas cards I send out.
A missing loved one can leave a hole in our heart that time can't fill. My grandmother passed away almost 20 years ago and sometimes I feel like I can still smell her perfume :)
I love crafts. Id love to take up crocheting again. My gram started teaching me and my cousin needle point at 4 and 5 with the kids kits(plastic needles) and crocheting by 6 and 7. My great grandmas last projects were to needlepoint two blankets for her first great great grandchildren. My daughter got a teddy bear and my daughter had the privilege of getting to meet her great great grandma before she passed.
You two are wonderful together!! I was married twice and never laughed with either of my husbands like you do!! Great video and I plan on making some of the items! Thanks!
Dust mitt with dish/wash cloths, hanging dish towel, soap sacks, coasters, cup cozies in a basket with coffee cups, travel cup, nice bar of soap, instant cocoa or coffee, a little snack item perhaps would be a nice gift. You could even crochet the basket. Useful, pretty and enjoyed.
This video is exactly what I needed to see. I believe homemade gifts mean a lot more. I can't wait to blast out some gifts for people. I've got so much wool that I need to use, and this video has been very helpful. I love to crochet and make things for people, but I've never actually made myself something before. I might even make a hat for myself since your patterns are so quick and easy! Thanks so much!
Schrunchies! Why didn’t I think of that! I have a lot of ladies in my family with long hair and I had no idea what to give them and a ton of odd yarns I’ve picked up from yard sales and friends. Thank you! BTW you two are too cute, so happy and funny, and just all around fun to watch.
Hi Jayda and Mr Stitches, I have already made some of the items you have shown. There are so many items I still want to make that you have on your site I want to try them all. I go back to your site time and time again. Both you and hubby are filled with so much energy that you guys keep me going.
I was in Hobby Lobby yesterday buying yarn to make a hat following your tutorial. (Not the hat you showed here). I asked another shopper if she had ever used a certain type of yarn there, and we struck up a conversation. I explained I can't follow a pattern so I watch UA-cam videos. Didn't say which channel. She immediately said she loved watching yours! We had a really good time going over our favorites of your tutorials. Funny thing, she's been crocheting a long time and I've only been doing it a short while, but we both greatly appreciate your help and videos. If your ears were itching yesterday, now you know why😃
I have been crocheting for decades and still love watching Jayda’s tutorials. There are always new things I haven’t thought of or techniques I have never tried. 💕
Our scout troop uses plastic garbage bags to make "plarn" & crochet mats for camping to go under the sleeping bag (just big rectangle). Works great, keeps the sleeping bag clean, and is SUPER warm!
I love these amazing gifts!! Thank you so much. I'm just getting back into crochet and want to make some neat gifts for people...not the "typical" things.
Hi Jayda, Thank you for all your lovely patterns. I've been making up some gift baskets for Christmas, your baskets are perfect for them. I have added , coasters, plastic bag holder, market bags, dust mitt, dish cloths, scrubbies. They are perfect house warming gifts too. I just gave one to my new neighbours, who loved it. I recently gave up work ,and these are perfect to still be able to give gifts and stash dive at same time. I live in the UK and love watching you and joining in with tutorials.
All of these would be great craft show items to sell! They work up quickly and most of them can be made with scraps and odd yarns that we all have on hand. Thank you for these great ideas and patterns!
You guys had too much fun doing this video! I love the coasters, and you can stiffen them with a mixture of glue and water like my Mum used to do with her doilies, and then once they harden they become little crafty ninja throwing stars! 💜
Thank you for this. I have been following your channel for a year now and have learned so much. I am making the shawl mentioned in this episode and am enjoying it so much.
Thank you Jayda. I have almost finished making my Christmas gifts. String bags x three, coasters I have also made cushions a tissue box cover, balls snowflakes and stars for the Christmas tree. Also slipper socks and soap bags. I am now making the infinity scarf. I send presents to Canada so some of these are good as they don't weigh too much.😀
Hi Andrea! Way to be on the ball! That's fantastic, now you can sit back and enjoy making things for yourself (or anyone else) without the pressure of a deadline weighing on you :)
Oh my golly goodness! I just now watched this video. I am really strapped for money this christmas (yes I have been thinking about this since may) and this is exactly what I been needing. And I cant wait to dive in and whip these up....ty so much!
Thanks Jayda ! I have made soo many of your items . Love your videos you are always so uplifting. And I love the way you hit the arrow and all the links come up , I didn’t realize I could do that so easily !! Thanks again 🧶
This is so helpful. I thought I had gone through all of your projects but I have missed some here and there that I’d like to do. I’ve been crocheting for a year but I sometimes take extended breaks so I still consider myself a beginner and the smaller projects really help me.
I love all these ideas. I am also making your soap saver scrubbie pattern, Moss stitch Dishcloth and Back scrubber pattern as a set to give to friends and family at Christmas! Love them! Love you guys!
I LOVE the pumpkins and cannot wait to make them for fall . I will tell anyone that the stretchy cotton bag is a great project. It is so easy and so much fun to make. Once you get the bottom done , the rest you can do while watching TV . I have made so many of them and they are roomy, strong and so very cute. I I have made them in lots of colors and would not hesitate to give as a gift . They are easy to adapt to your own needs also. I have made them shorter , taller , and have added rounds to the handles . They all turn out really well. I currently have a ton ready for gifts. Warning: They are addictive, you cannot stop making them!
The mesh bags would be great for carrying a crochet project in. Could easily fit a skein or two of yarn and a copy of your pattern in along with a small pouch for scissors, counters, and a yarn needle.
OMG! Thank You so much for this video. I’m going to make all 12 projects. I’m making some of them to give as Christmas Gifts, and some just to improve my crochet skills. Love, Love, Love Every one of your suggestions.
Ohhh Jayda you have me excited to start new projects for Christmas presents. I'm currently working on your chevron blanket for my daughter in her college colors. Thanks so much for your awesome tutorials.
Leave off stem on pumpkin, add greenery with berries, little pinecones, etc. For Christmas hanging ornaments or use a basket full for centerpiece, just set them at random on the table or shelves among other decorations to fill in area. Maybe glue sequins or beads on them. Sound interesting?
I have made your round coasters and they are so fun to do. You gave good ideas for Xmas or any time you need a quick gift. Thank you Jayda and Mr. Stitches. You are so fun to watch😘
Hi, Jayda! I love the variation of the Splendid Springtime Shawl. Great idea! I've already made 3 of the full-size shawls for me, my mom and sister! They turned out gorgeous!! Thanks.
Every year I start Christmas projects and never finish..I think my projects are too big..but these projects are small cute and quick..thanks Jayda..and next time just let Mr. Institches fold the scarf
Hi Kaneeta! I think "biting off more than we can chew" is a common issue for crocheters LOL. I find if I keep the gifts small (but really nice, like I'll use really nice yarn) they make the best gifts AND I manage to get them all made in time!
Hey Miss Jayda! I was chatting with a lady at Hobby Lobby yesterday and she mentioned your channel. We both said together "I love Jayda" lol you've got fans here in Florida ♥️. I finally can do C2C because of you. I appreciate all you and your hubby do.
