These engine builds are like watching movies. I could sit all day watching vids like these. You learn something new everytime. And yea 300whp out of these is very much attainable. Awesome work.
I have only had this ep3 for 4 months(most of which i couldnt walk) this is my 2nd k series...watching you makes it all come back to me. you make it really easy to remember. And its easy to just take a screen shot of the torque specs.
Thin piece of sheet copper, cut hole, make a "crush washer" for that oil cap- turn down tight, till K lines up. What don't you like about the vc dress up kit? I think its very nice. I would either get a shorter belt (they're measured in mm BTW) or cut down that ridiculously long adjusting screw- which actually looks easier, since those pulleys are close now. I haven't watched the "build" series yet, but that is a beautiful engine.

ThatSaturn Kid Depends on budget. You would have to get some ECU solution like a kpro. Then you could do motor work and stay NA and then later add a turbo. It all depends on how much time/money you want to spend up front.
I can't wait for you to get this installed in your CRX, im sitting here waiting to pull the trigger on a k24 to do the same DC 3.2/12.5 build that you did but I really wanna see how it turns out before committing since this will be going in my DD :')
When you put the valve train back together did you silicone under the last cam cap at the trans? Before you put the valve cover on there is 4 locations that require silicone

Hey man new to the channel but I found your vids useful since I’m k24 swapping my ep3. My JDM K24a came with a PS pump and I won’t be using it since I’m running ES. My ep3 idler doesn’t fit my water pump housing. What do I do? Get an a4 water housing as well?
That valve tool i have it cause it was uncomfortable doing valve adjustment on my 8th gen civic since the intake manifold is on but on the exhaust side i just use a flat head and a 10mm wrench.
Hey I was wondering how to get vtec to initiate on a 03 honda accord with the a4 block with the tsx or rsx type s heads and pistons, would I need to change ecu’s for it to work?, and since I’m in cali how do go back to factory ecu so cali smog passes my car?

@@themechanic6117 have you thought about maybe a Honda Insight. Entire car with engine would likely still be under 2000 pounds. Hasport just came out with some great mounts. And the cars can be cheap.

I'd be concerned with that overspray on the inside of the rocker cover in the heat resistant black wrinkle coat..! Wouldn't want that shit peeling off on the inside of the engine blocking the oil pick up..! Good luck..!!!
Thermostatic housing will not work proper, because it will not isolate smal circuit. It isolate only big circuit or make mixing big & small circuits. OEM thermostatic housing isolate smal or big circuits.
Yes i have a A4 , i think they say the A2 is best because you dont have to change rods n pistons(i think, im not sure) . If your upgrading your rods n pistons then it doesnt matter if you get a A2 or A4

Do the head swap and some cams . see if you notice the power increase 👍
ThatSaturn Kid Make sure you replace your pistons also. Stock Accord pistons will hit your k20 valves.

Check with ktuned for a solution. If they dont have anything you may need to change the water pump housing.
