So many good Korn songs but if you wanted to follow the "story", Falling Away From Me is kind of an unofficial sequel and I think the production us even better.
That's a hard question.. Definitely the best nu-metal band ever. I would recommend Got the Life, It's On!, B.B.K., Blind and Insane. Follow the Leader is one hell of an album!
Korn..pick any song new or old..no one sounds like them the are amazing .. Rotting in vain..Falling away from me ..Worst is on its way ..the list is endless 👍😎🔥🔥
Korn paved the way for a lot of bands. It cant be understated how monumental their influence was in the 2000s. I knew youd dig the production cuz what they lack in technical skill, the make up for in ambience and risk taking. Almost all the sounds you hear are the guitars with multiple fx pedals. They were ahead of their time with how much they used it to create unique soundscapes. Multiple listens reveals lots of fun ear candy that might go unnoticed initially. Also, you mentioned the drums... they are good but they are only the half of the rhythm section where thr bass actually fills in a lot. Their bassist plays a slap syle and focuses more on rhythm rather than notes. In fact... the bass sounds nasty alone but in the mix, its amazing. These guys can really scare ppl away upon first listens but im glad you dug it. Cuz trust me, some stuff gets REALLY weird.
The best part of watching people reacting to music I love, is the smile it brings to their faces, specially because when they came out originally me and my friends were cast away for by society saying our taste was shit, we knew it wasn't, and we show them it by not giving a F...
Korn blew our minds. No one sounded like Korn when they came out. They were....creative, different, and talked about real things. All I saw on the title was Freak on a Leash and Blind, and thought you were doing a double. Blind was the first big hit for Korn. I highly recommend it.
Within seconds of your video starting, I understood what kind of breakdown I was going to get (and wasn't disappointed), and already hit the like button before you'd even asked me. Now I have to go back and watch your other videos, as that roll-call of bands you've already covered is an awesome selection. I look forward to seeing your guys channel blow up even more, as just under 9k subscribers (I'm 3 months late finding you), just isn't enough.
from one music junky to another…very fun reaction, good sir. if I may, I would throughly like to request you to dive down a rabbit hole of a really fun band called Electric Callboy. their breakout song, “Hypa Hypa” is what kicked off a new revolution dubbed “Party Metal” lmao it’s a German band that sings both serious and cheeky lyrical songs that bend genres and have very memorable videos.
Omg hell yes! My favourite track is probably Devour me colossus or Of Peteichor weaves black noise but I’d love to see these guys pull apart that track!
Hey! This was a great video, can you review Mr. Brightside by The Killers if you haven't yet. It is considered as one of the best songs ever. I want to know what you think!
"It's pretty basic because with bands like Iron Maiden or Metallica, they do it that way on purpose to replicate live". Hehe, yeah. They keep it simple on the albums, not so it's easier live, they do that so they can blow the doors off your ears and peel the paint off the walls when they do go full tilt when playing live. Wait'll you see/listen to Metallica when they play live, like this: ua-cam.com/video/ZwJHWHfoQSc/v-deo.html IMHO, their very best performance, ever. Also, you're welcome:]
As far as korn goes, Blind, twisted transistor come to mind. I’d love to see you guys opinion on shinedown. Cut the cord, I’ll follow you, 45, the crow and the butterfly, monsters, get up, americas burning. Just to name a few haha😅
Good reviews. Could you make more Jinjer songs( Judgment and Punishment or Teacher Teacher) about good vocals Dimash. Interesting to see you thought about Disturbed.
Think it's about time you got back to nightwish maybe song of myself live of course from wacken 2013 or epica kingdom of heaven pt 1 or pt 3 don't think you will be disappointed with any of the above .
I totally agree with some Epica. I'm more partial to the studio stuff personally (Storm the Sorrow or Unleashed) but would love to see them reviewed here either way.
Im glad i found this channel. New sub for sure. Have you guys reacted to Ren yet? If not his song Hi Ren . Id absolutely ro see yours and your brothers reaction.
Nu Metal is definetely one of my least favorite metal genres, because of the hip hop influences and often lack of artistry. However id still recommend "Blind" by Korn, because it BANGS. A completely different song ive been falling in love is "The Last Baron" by Mastodon. Epic song and i thought you might like it because its progressive and psychedelic.
I didn't care for this when it came out and generally dislike "nu-metal" but I've warmed up to Korn a bit over the years. I actually really liked their version of Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall, awful guitar solo aside. I think you gave it a fair score. It was definitely different than other stuff that was out at the time. The lyrics aren't bad. I don't like the vocals, which is my biggest complaint with most nu-metal. Also not a fan of whatever that was in the middle, but overall the song isn't bad.

I always loved their unique sound, it's been a while since i've listened some Korn, but my top 3 would be
Blind - Somebody Someone - Forsaken

Follow the Leader is one hell of an album!
For me, their best song ever made is: "Falling Away From Me". Honorable mentions for "Blind" and "Did My Time", that are not too far behind. Imo.
My favorite ever by them: Here to Stay

That’s insane! Love the extra context!
When this came out…everyone was like “oh shit ya”! I remember that time back in the 90s. Nice work fellas

Love the content. Always a great choice of songs and the expert‘s corner adds a lot. Keep it up!
Thanks so much!

Y'all need to check out And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope, by Ne Obliviscaris. Incredible musicianship, ridiculously complex composition. Cheers.

@@christopherjohn84 Colossus is also my favorite, but I think Flowers is a better showcase/intro
@@ReinhardtBII yeah fair point. Especially with the history of University study of the song etc

Not a huge korn fan these days as my taste has changed to much harder stuff over the years but Issues is their best album for me!
I love you
Next korn - Thoughtless
Next do limp bizkit chocolate starfish hotdog flavored water is a masterpiece of bad ideas 😂

ACTUALLY Korn INVENTED “nu metal” because none did it before Korn nor took it to where it went like Korn……
