GTFOH! Have u done some research on these fish regarding it's cost because I doubt many people would toss in $3k fish let alone many people doing so not forgetting the weather does get cold and not conducive for these fish to survive. It's this sort of ignorance that influences this sort of mentality! 😆 I tell u what, lmk what fish u see that are invasive wild fish in south FL and also tell me what they go for normally retail wise.....I can answer that for u, the silver aro is probably the only one that has any worth over $100 while the rest are barely worth $20 if that even especially the midas and Oscars 😆 unreal the ignorance is overwhelming!!!!!!!!
You will excited.. You can progress this fish color.. You can progress this fish size.. You can progress this fish look.. You can progress this fish action.. Have nice keep it... 😎😎😎
My 12 year old Silver Arrowana jumped out his tank a few weeks ago after i left the lid off to do some cleaning. I got him as a little fry and raised him nice a fat over the years and many houses my wife and I went through. RIP Gary
I really like these informative videos. Specially when it's about responsible keeping, speaking about endangered species or simply species that are pretty hard to keep and people underestimate (like goldfish or sea horses)
I was eating while watching this video, and hearing Joey mispronouncing Creteacious Period so badly that it sounded like he was saying 'crustaceous period' (so basically the time of only crabs and their cousins) nearly made me die from choking because I was laughing so hard.
Right? Also "barbels" (it's not "barbells" like in the gym) and "CITES" (not "cities") for the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species.
I'm from Asia and in my opinion it is very true if you treat your dragon well, it will bring you great health and success. The dragon connects with you unlike other fishes and if you look them in the eyes you will know what I meant. If it dies for unknowing reason, it is a belief it has warded off the bad luck that supposed to be detrimental to the owner. Take care of it with all your love my brother and I really believe it will do the same for you. Cheers and looking forward to all your videos!
I looked up almost all of the other Arrowana, and there is just no comparison whatsoever. Yours is absolutely gorgeous undeniably! Just one question, does yours have a name? 😳
In my country indonesia. There is a master of super red arowana fish. Suk Eng Pang is name started to raise fish since 1980. Arowana fish native to kalimantan islands now the fish is still alive and is more than 40 years old. More than 1 meter length.
Such a cute video. I can't help but think about how crazy you must look starting random statements in different rooms in your house. Enjoyed the editing.
Joey, I would absolutely love to see you do more species spotlight/care guide type videos on your favorite fish, especially, a video on my favorite, Oscars.
I would love to have an Asian arowana so don't be stingy Joey LOL. And it's a shame that we(United States) ruined our privilege on the snakehead fish because the Chana Barca from India in my opinion is the most stunning fish ever kept in the hobby... But the red dragon is definitely up there..
These fish are just amazing. Still haven't seen one in person and the standard Jardine, silvers, and black Arowana are great fish but I really want to see a bright Asian arowana in person one day. Amazing fish
This was a great video, I love learning about where in the world a fish comes from. Brought me back to researching the lakes of africa for my middle school projects because I loved cichlids.
Thanks for the info, my husband and I saw a Silver Arowana for the first time this year. The Asian Arowana is gorgeous too! I will be adding your book to my Christmas List! 🐟
This video was amazing, I enjoyed it so much. Make more videos like this one, is great how honest and fun you deliver the information. It was soooo great.🏆
Loved this! so much info contained in this vid. Always wanted one but never had a tank big enough. A 125 doesn't do them justice. P.S keep us updated on the discus!
In Aust. we have 2 Saratogas... Leichardti which is the more common in the aquarium trade. Cheaper and less jumpy. These are the silver with some yellow.. The other is known as the Jardini. Pronounced Jar-dee-nee. Alot more jumpy. Has red on edges of edge scales. Grow bigger and much harder to come by in trade. Both are not endangered. More scales top to bottom than an Asian 7 vs 5. Still beasts and equally as awesome as an Asian.
Saratoga is the family name in Australia Jardinii being the Northern of gulf and Leichartdi being the southern. I'm a bit surprised you got that wrong normally your spot on with your information. For the record Joey is dead on about how nasty they can be. My Leichartdi once pulled a full grown cat into the tank. Don't panic I rescued the cat & it's wasn't injured other than a little but traumatised. So keeping a 3' monster in a tank is exactly that, keeping a monster that will attack and kill anything your put with it including large Oscar's.
I like how you just measured tank, popped up in a different room. Without losing a beat, might’ve gone over some peoples heads. But I see you 👀 dude lol.
even tho silvers are susceptible to dropeye and get monstrous their long tail makes them look very majestic when they swim around compared to the other arowanas. I also had a jardini and never again those things get way to aggressive.
How do you stop your Super Red arowana's from showing aggression to your stingrays? My 16" inch SR keeps nipping at my 12" inch rays. They are in a 8x3x3 ft aquarium
jardini saratoga in australia have gone up to similar pricing to arowana prices here they arent a $140aud fish anymore last one i seen for sale was $700aud
What a lovely depiction and what a lovely information full video....love all the info...... truly speaking after keeping fishes for more than 15 years i have become superstitious about it. I do believe that fish absorbs the misfortunes of his owner. I find myself silly to admit it .. but it is what it is
Hi bro, Amazing facts about 5he arawana. It really is a majestic specie. I know you don't just spew out info.. you actually do research. And care about your fishes wrll being. So your education comes from real facts and experience. Say have you sern the blue arowana? I think it rival your arowana for beauty. Not sure if it's found that way in nature. As i've not done reseach. But wow! The color of the blue is amazing!!!. Btw the fish you have in the 2000g really compliments the arowana. Can't wait for your future projects.. Peace out from Australia
I believe they are still considered an endangered species in the wild. I have seen huge asian Arawana‘s ponds for sale to the public. Don’t “ just take my word for it, things could have changed.
Joey you should get a Green Terror ive been watching you since you had Frank i have a Green Terror and he is very personable like Frank was you also inspired me to get a set up with Uaru and everyone that comes over to my house love them
The aquarium trade hobby does Not have a significant negative impact on endangered species. On the contrary - the aquuarium trade may be the last best hope for the preservation of some species. Environmental habitat destruction is the number one cause of endangerment for most aquarium sized fish. The white cloud minnow and Asian arowwna are two perfect examples of fish that would be extinct if not preserved by the aquarium trade. Many environmental agencies would do better to realize this "ark" of protection that might someday allow reintroduction of species to their natural areas after damage is mitigated.
if CITES would just let people in Florida keep them ....there'd be thousands in the canals within a decade.
And thats why florida cant have anything anymore

Na buddy ain’t nobody dumping $3k or $5k fish in no lake

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Rip gary
Gary was a real one, while your back was turned he jumped out and killed an intruder to protect you.
RIP Gary

He also has zero clue how to properly pronounce "pectoral" fins. Yet he said it like 30 times (incorrectly) in this video.
🤣
Love the energy and enthusiasm of the video Joey! I love your unscripted rambling, because your joy and interest in the subject comes through :D

Your editing before the rant was especially good! Lots of well-timed little clips of different fish.

Great video, very informative. I learned something today.
You should definitely do more of these, like a series
I just know Joey is a TopG
Bruh
I named my Silver after the dragon in the 1981 cinematic masterpiece, Dragonslayer. Vermithrax Pejorative!

Cites should not apply to captive Breed fish. Don't the farms micro chip them now as well as provide the proper paper work?
This is definitely my favourite episode!
I love the little notations throughout the video

Love you enthusiasm for this beautiful breed. Ty joey was very informative ❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏
Hi Joey love the content of the video. You always try to give us a lot of info on the fish and the gallery.
Looking forward for the new gallery and wishing you best of luck with this new project
It's fun to have arowana they are just majestic creatures I have around 4 arowana and they are just amazing fish to look at
Your Asian Arrowana looks stellar Joey. Love the lighting you used to show off the amazing colors.

Nice lil sneak peak😍 looks amazing👌🏼
The close up on his face was amazing I’ve never seen them that close
Keeping monster fish is just an upscale betta in a cup…
Thanks for the info, my husband and I saw a Silver Arowana for the first time this year. The Asian Arowana is gorgeous too! I will be adding your book to my Christmas List! 🐟
Very enjoyable and informative video Joey keep this style up👍👍

Saw a jardini for sale a while ago, it was named Smaug.
My favorite video to date! Keep them coming like this 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I accidentally spilled mustard in my fish tank
Looks great, and looking forward to Monday.

Very informative! Thanks for making this video!
House of the Dragon 🐉 hasn’t been bad so far though. Awesome video dude!
Take a shot (of water) everytime Joey says “like a dragon” you’ll be very hydrated!! 🤣
Great information.. I enjoy seeing your arowana so much. Gorgeous. Never considered one though. TOO big for my tanks!
As someone who both loves to learn and to teach, I absolutely loved this. Thank you! :D
Great video mate I do love a dragon ☺️
Are you ever gonna bring back the king of diy long sleeves with the logo going down the arms?
its still available!
Joey , I just want you to know , every American fish keeper , is jelly AF of your Asian Arrowana
What lighting do you have going on? Those Oscars look amazing!
for some of the clips, i added a cheap plant grow light. Heavy on the pink hue.
Hi there, what are you building in the house? Your dragon really developed nice colouration.
D‘U still know the UA-cam Channel AROWANA KING? 👌🏻So awesome variations, you shure never‘ve seen anywhere bevor!
We have Saratoga here in Oz, they just lack the color, but look identical, very cool fish!
Pictures would be nice to see at the end to compare the different types of arowana.
Really enjoyed this, thank you 👍

Arowana time 😮💨🌊 missing buddy….

Great learning video! Thank you!
This is AMAZING NEED MORE
Phenomenal and Dragon.....my new drinking game
Awesome vid!!! My favorite fish of all time!! The 🐐of the aquarium fish, and the 🐐of the aquarium hobby on UA-cam!!!🤙🏽🤙🏽
Ah yes, the crustaceous period, the age of 🦀 CRAB🦀. Love ya Joey
some awesome aquariums you have
If seahorse and arowana had a baby it would definitely be a dragon. Hahaha
😂😂😂
I like you way to storytelling it
👏👏👏
You gotta be the master of a sneak preview. Lmfao guardian of the gallery. Your own marvel fish
I have a white butterfly koi and it reminds me of the fuzzy dragon from The Never Ending Story
So... Joey's gallery is...the original House of Dragons? Nice.
Imo Plakat or wild species of bettas just look like mini versions of arrowanas to me lol.
Love you king my top fish is arowana as well. My list will be Asian, silver then the Jardini
R.I.p Buddy he died so Joey channel will continue to be successful
Dragon fish and Oscar fish.....oh my God....i really love it

These fish should not be kept except in a VERY VERY LARGE aquarium. And i don't mean a 180...
They're just to big and move too quickly.
