The best way to get your disability approved is to hire an attorney. If you try doing it on your own they will drag their feet forever. The attorney will deduct their fee from the SSI payment. It sucks but it really is the best way.
Agree there are Attorneys that specifically handle filing SSDI claims.
Actually, I believe the attorney will be paid outside of your SSI payment. Definitely hire an attorney. SS denies claims first time around almost automatically 😢

Definitely contact the financial office within the hospital. They should be able to write off most of not all of the hospital bill. You’ll be alright mama.

Through the hospital, but then it retroactively covers the bill. I don’t mean like they just wave it but I guess there’s some funD that covers it. This is what I have been told in the past anyway.

With your bills with the Hospital , they will write off, don’t worry getting ppl to fund you. Trust me the hospital will help you. Be safe and healthy
Yup, my brother has no money and he was hospitalized with Covid 3 years ago and the hospital has a fund for ppl who can’t afford to pay.

Hey girl friend, you went through a traumatic experience emotionally and physically, it will take a while to feel normal again. I was able to get about 80% of the hospital bill dropped by asking the billing department & they let me make small payments too. Wish I could help with the SSI shouldn't be taking this long.

Absolutely love your energy, so don’t change. When you do get your invoices, don’t pay them. Reach out to the hospital’s financial office and because he doesn’t have income as an adult, they will waive the charges. Whatever you do, don’t pay!! There is funding built into the way the hospital works and they recognize many families aren’t able to afford these bills. Please make no commitment to paying anything until the financial forms have been submitted. Sending good energy your way!
Or at worst case five or $10 payments until it’s paid. As far as I know if this is still true, as long as you’re sending a little something every month they either won’t or can’t take any kind of action against you.

My experience with financial assistance is you fill out a Federal form than you don't have to pay anything until they rule on it. You should qualify for assistance. You may be low on iron and need some quality sleep. I have also raised an autistic grandson. You just never know what the day will bring.
I felt your “what?” at 3:53, lol. I can’t stand when the GPS tells me to make an impossible left, with no light, at a super busy intersection😡 I also say “I’m not doing that” and I either go to a light or make a right and turn around somewhere convenient.

The social services should help with ssi / Medicaid. They have inside route. The hospital might be able to give you a break.
Medicaid should go back and cover 6 months prior. That is how it works in Texas. Medicaid is Federal, so it should be the same for all states. Still sending loads of prayers from Texas !!!

Good for you for sticking to knowing what your worth....Some people say they cringe when you decline so many orders....They are the same people that have no idea of what true expenses are and will pay for it in the very near future because cars will expire .

Sending you a big pat on the back for all you're doing and handling. It's clear you're a loving, hard-working and smart mom. You mentioned giving up sodas. FWIW, I used to have soda running through my veins and replaced it with lemon and lime seltzers. (No sugar, no artificial sweeteners.) Not only do I not miss sodas but actually don't like them anymore, especially the diet ones. I allow myself a Mexican Coke very rarely, the one soda I do like, but the seltzers absolutely hit the spot. Have a good week.

The time I do UE I chill listening to music and enjoy my drives. I thought about videoing but it would take away my thoughts to daydream or work out anything I have on my mind. I find the job really the best thing for my mental health at this time in my life.

I still watch, but I missed a few days. And yeah, I do worry about some of those people doing life streams, not looking at the road enough.
And it’s definitely not just him. Apparently, UA-cam is pushing not only lives but vertical lives which have a white instead of black background and you could only see the past couple of comments in chat during the live. I don’t know I find the vertical ones very doing. I don’t get why they’re pushing the vertical in particular.

I believe the being tired is something going around because its been horrible for my partner and I for like a month now. So just drink water and try to eat a little healthier. Pray it passes soon.

I would suggest to call the hospital billing dept. and put the bills on the minimum amount to keep them off your/his credit report. Also, hire an attorney to kick everything in gear. It may take a year or so with their help, so it’s best to start right away. Then after the dust settles you can disburse any monies if/when that final SSI judgement and back-pay starts. If you wait too long to get approved they may not be able to cover most of the bills.

AN old co worker and I used to say..... when discussing financial woes.... "well, they can't eat ya"... I know I recently had a hospital cancel some debt of mine so it all takes a little time to go through the insurance systems. I'm turning 70 this year. Lots of medical bills.

You should check with the hospital to see if you qualify for help. My son is 24 and was born with a heart defect. 2 open heart surgeries and a pacemaker since he was 20 months old. He qualifies for help even though he works full time making a wage of $19.50/hr. He still has insurance through me until the age of 26. Please check with them.
When I went on disability I had an organization that specifically worked with people to get on ssi. I got on first try. Maybe you should look for such a company. As someone in the stream stated, it can take forever. She said to get an attorney and they take out their fee later. I wll look for the name of my company.

Mama this must be such a stress the weight of the hospital bills so rest up put some emergency funds in the bank & call the hospital to see what they can do for you hope it turns out better then you think & your son gets approved fast for his check that will all help your stress so much. One day at a time mama you have a plan & your body has to get some rest from all the month long burn out you went through. Keep talking to us to get it out of your head hope that helps. As a former social service worker ask them for a spindown let them wipe whatever is left out for you tell them about the problems your having getting him started on d8sability too let them help u push for it. Love you

So glad you're making more videos!! Since I found your channel, I've been trying to catch up on the older videos, but I can't resist watching a new one!! I know you're worried about all the hospital and medical, bills. It's alot. About 7 or 8 years ago, I had horrible credit due to many many medical bills. I slowly disputed things one by one with the credit bureaus (thru credit karma) and got every medical bill dropped from my credit. I don't know if that would work for y'all or not, but I'd definitely give it a try. Medical bills aren't technically supposed to go on your credit anyway, but they still sneak them in there😕😕

I tip minimum $5 , usually $10 depending on the day or distance, but $4 dollars including tips that is crazy, its like paying to work.
Once the SSI comes through and he is on Medicaid or Medicare don't let his Dad drop him from his insurance because it will cover a lot of the copay. I am on disability and I have Medicare B. I pay for Medicare A and I am on my husbands Blue Cross and Blue Shield. He is retired. If I didn't have all of those, I don't know how we would afford all the Dr. bills and bills from CT scans and other things. Plus my medications. Chemo is almost the same amount as what we paid for our house. Every month. Yes every month. I hope you get it soon. Can you see if his Dr.s can help with the SSI process. Mine helped a lot.

I do think that Medicaid will pay for some of the back bills. That’s how they told me I could qualify, with past medical bills.
Also most medical bills don’t go against your credit if you can’t pay them.
Have some minerals water for some energy or electrolyte beverage.
The navigation on DD has been having a fit lately. Wrong directions, like it doesn’t know where I am at all and has gone to a blank screen twice this weekend during deliveries. Ended up taking screenshots of the addresses the rest of the day 🙄. Hang in there. It’s got to be an emotional roller coaster right now with all the challenges and exhaustion. Hopefully you can get a little rest sometime soon.

My mom just finished her 3 or 4th series of chemo treatments and I cannot image the cost of their drugs
Chemo is expensive. I have been on an oral chemo for almost 10 years and my insurance company gets billed over $70,000 per month for the 2 different chemos I am on. I get assistance to help with the copay.
Just take one day at a time ,you will be no good to your kids if you get ill so take care 😊

You should Have an out-of-pocket max on your insurance and That is the.
Max for your policy period that you would have to pay out of pocket so look at your policy and see if that's in there.
I know someone who tried to get ssi and also got atty and it took 4 yrs and was still declined. It's a super hard thing to get.
I don’t know if this applies for your insurance, but most insurances have an in network and out of network yearly deductible for your out of pocket expenses. I hope you have that. Keep in mind after your deductible is met, you probably won’t have any more expenses. In that case, I would do the tests etc that need to be done.

But social medicine like all over Europe and Canada are not the best, you have long waiting list to see MD , we have experience that when we were traveling in your country, sorry, free is not always the best.

Luckily your gigs and UA-cam allow you to have some kind of autonomy with your time and income potential, as opposed to working at a W 2, where someone else tells you when to work and how much money you can make.
