I actually can't believe people notice things like extra sounds in the background or lights flickering. I only see amazing work and inspiration..every single time!!
Stands out to me like a sore thumb!! But that’s how I am in life I can not help it! If someone moves something in my home I’ll notice it INSTANTLY. Some peoples brains are just wired like that. I always notice subtle changes and differences, having that ability is a great things for some professions as well.
I almost never notice background noise. I’m so focused on paying attention to Laura. But I do tend to notice little things in real life that drive me insane. Everyone has something that is distracting. It’s gonna happen.
Just love that Aaron is an Intrachol piece to the recap videos. It’s so fun to see you two interact! Thank you for all you do to bring so much joy to all of us♥️
Agree! Aaron is such a sweetie and I love seeing them interact. There’s not enough long-term healthy relationships in “media”. It’s a refreshing change. #relationshipgoals
I’m always amazed when people want to tell Laura and Aaron what to do with their home. I love the Hartley being used as “social space” for family and friends. Can’t wait to see it completed.
Sooo...if your Hartley was attached to your house, it would be identified as a Solarium. A furnished room shared with exotic/tropical plants. There is nothing amiss in having a destination Solarium to capture a view or to become a garden centerpiece. Ignore the naysayers and carry on!
I don't understand why people have a time with realizing what the Harley is to you. I was shocked with the garden/potting shed as it had never occured to me because of how I was brought up. Maybe it is the same thing with the greenhouse. After watching and learning how Laura and Aaron's brains work, I no longer question what they are doing, I just sit back buckle up and enjoy the ride. The Hartley is a glass home pretty much. It is quality, beauty and expensive. It is Laura's dream and even though a tinge of jealousy is present I do love to see her dream come true and love that I have a part in helping. I learn so much and I get so much joy, peace and contentment that its turned into something I would never have imagined. God bless each and every one.
I love the way ye guys hash things out on camera and chat about ideas & non starter ideas in these videos, I really feel like I am right there with ye. Showing Aaron's face every-time he talks is a great addition, he was always so camera shy years ago......glad he is coming out and into his own comfort zone. Listen to him talk about all the plant names..... was that even possible 5 years ago!! I've been a fan for so many years my kids who are now teens say " are you watching Laura again" every-time I have the laptop out and headphones in, but what can I say is you guys are my daily go to. I don't think my garden would be anything like it is now without you in my life daily. My interest in ye has now spread to my 78 yr old mother who still does not own a mobile phone but she will watch ye online (cos I set it up on her tv) so that is the affect ye have! Thank you both from 2 happy followers from southern Ireland (which has the same growing climate as ye which is a bonus)!!
We just recently got just over an acre of property…..and our lists are loooooooooonnnnnggggg, my hubby gets overwhelmed sometimes and my reminder to him and anyone else feeling the same way, is this… “The lists are to-do lists, not today lists”
I’ve also got many lists all over, things added on, things scratched off…..never ending….but if it’s not written down somewhere I forget 🙃😂😀 Happy planting!!
I found with my husband, that it's best to give him one thing to do at a time, so he doesn't get overwhelmed! Also, I try to bring it up at a time when he's going to be receptive to a new project! 😉
My bestie moved to England a few years ago and recently moved to a stunning country estate. A few days ago, she sent me a photo of her puppies playing on the lawn and in the background what did I see… a Hartley just like yours. Lol😂 When I pointed it out, she had no idea what I was talking about, as it came with the house, but it totally made me smile. Thank you for introducing me to so many wonderfully interesting things.
I appreciated your answer to the lady that asked about the Hartley as a greenhouse versus a living space. I have noticed when I watch period drama made in England that the old Victorian mansions had a solarium/ greenhouse that were full of beautiful plants but also had furniture for sitting and enjoying the space. The gardener had a working greenhouse somewhere else in the property. So that is precisely what you are doing with your Hartley and your heated greenhouse. Both are amazing spaces to have.
Precisely. I responded to that as well! She’s already got a working greenhouse tunnel! The Hartley is so beautiful. Can’t wait till Laura furnishes it with many beautiful furniture, garden accessories and amazing plants! ❤️
Our Disney strategy called for going when lines are the shortest AND waiting until our youngest was 5 to make it more fun, less stressful and more memorable for all of us. No diapers, no naps, less frequent & shorter duration pit stops & meals 👍🏻. A five year old understands delayed gratification-so less frustration waiting in line👏 There are plenty of strollers to rent there and even our 8 year old appreciated getting breaks from walking. But the absolute BEST reason to wait until the youngest is 5 is we ALL have vivid memories we share of our Disney adventure; it’s not just a “story” to the youngest child who could feel “left out” of a special family vacation forever 🌟❣️
For Disney World in Orlando, the best time is January and February as well. Don’t even think about the summer! Well, May-November actually! It’s brutally hot and rains everyday. Humidity is unbearable! And I live in Florida lol 😂
Babies don’t feel “left out” You can also go more than once. It sucks being an older kid having to wait till the younger ones are older to do stuff. What if Laura has more kids? Benjamin will never get there!
@@Smileyson58 or let grandparents watch the baby (with childcare maintained during the day) while they take Benjamin on a 2 or 3 day trip to Disneland.
This is true from my experience. My family took a Disney trip with I was 7, my brother was 4, and my little sister was 1. I'm the only one who remembers the trip. My brother kinda remembers but maybe it's from pictures and when I would talk about it. My sister remembers nothing and feels left out whenever it's brought up. There were always plans to go back when my sister was older but by that time my mom.became a single parent and money was tight. We never talked about going again because we knew it simply was going to be difficult for her. But I know families now who make.a.trip out to Disney once every 3 or so years so their children can have memories so it is definitely doable 😊😊
I was 3 when I was taken to Disney world, I complete agree with you to wait until 5. The pictures are cute because I was obsessed with the characters, but I have zero memories of it. And all the stories I hear is about how I had classic toddler tantrums the whole time. I put that as poor planning on my parents because they took us in July to Florida. It was hot, I couldn’t ride most the rides (too little), and we were in lines all day. I get why 3 year old me was not happy. My siblings were 5 and 7. They remember and had a more pleasant time, exactly for reasons you mentioned. They could be rationalized with of “why are we waiting in a line again?”
Garden Answer and Coffee in the morning, awesome! Good morning everyone! 💜 💜 💜 (my RBC and neutrophils were too low this week to get chemo, so I get a week break.) GAHH my comment was mentioned. Love this group!!
Our prayers are with you during your treatment and recovery. I totally agreed with your comment. Aaron teasing about a discount and Laura in the hole were just examples of how they show their real life. It is wonderful to be able to laugh at ourselves and share that with others freely.
Laura, THANK YOU for answering my question, without addressingIT specifically. AGAIN!!!! ABSOLUTELY NO DISRESPECT!!! (Your vest made me think that. So sorry.) ( My children were born 89, 91, and 92...we looked like your duck family!) The 10-month-old and I have the same thing in common...your voice makes us happy! I am 57, getting ready to have my 13th surgery since 2015, on Thursday. Since finding you, I have been motivated to accomplish as much as I could every day. Thank you for being such a sweet person!
Re: Hartley use. It seems you are using it more as a conservatory than as a greenhouse. Think a manor house conservatory with tropical plants. IMHO, a marvelous use for a beautiful space.
Totally agree on the many choices for Hartley side…and appreciate you sharing so much about pros/cons around features. Having ordered one that leaves England in 2 weeks for its cruise to USA, we struggled with a lack of thorough marketing materials left us a bit frustrated figuring out & commitment to the purchase. We were lucky to attend this years Chelsea Flower Show and shared with the Hartley team all of our challenges with their marketing and lack of visuals & options of expensive decisions. The Hartley team assured us that new marketing assets are coming soon. We met, chatted with Martin the President of Hartley, America has exploded with growth for Hartley & they were honored by the Queen. I did let Martin know that in 2019, Laura from Garden Answer showed a video that ignited a goal for our future.
I understand your reasoning for not doing the recaps but they are my favorite videos of yours. It’s like a podcast and I can get stuff done while listening, instead of trying to see the beautiful plants
Am I the only one who teared up when Laura was reading the poem by Emerson? Because it’s so true. They have added so much happiness and beauty to the world and all our lives.
Happy Sunday! Woke up early this morning and was super stoked to see this video. I’ve missed your chats. First things first! If uTube ever takes you guys off, they’ll probably have a riot. Lol! I am always amazed about how many things people seem to notice on your videos. I never hear these sounds or see the flickering lights. Ha! Ha! I must be the least observant person in the world. Looking forward to another week of amazing Garden Answer videos. Thanks for all you do!
Same! I never notice any of those things either, but even if I did, it wouldn't bother me. They provide us amazing free content so I am not one to ever complain! I am too grateful to complain about such small details. 😊
If I remember correctly, Jim Putnam commented on wilting hydrangeas and says not to worry, if adequately watered, they will perk up as the temp decreases!
Oh, yes! Paint the AC cover a dark gray AND put a metal cover over it. The gray will help turn the AC into a shadow. Maybe have the artist that did the stair rail create something.
Hey, don’t knock the early works with the garden tour video. They are awesome to us. For you, you can see how much growth of skill you both have gone through over the years. Those early works are the foundation for your current channel!!!
Laura & Aaron, watching Garden Answer recap is like watching a great movie! I could watch/listen to you all day, every day. You are so informative and I admire how well you answer all types of questions. The gardens look amazing and the drone shots help to see the growth too. Love you guys! Keep up the great work! 💐🪴🌸
This was like nearly 90 minutes of "chatting" with some friends. Thank you so much for this recap and for sharing your lives with us. I have learned so much but mostly, I am inspired by you and you make me feel like I can accomplish anything! 💜 💜🌸💜 💜
So thankful for the recap. On the west coast I woke up at 4:30 am and couldn’t go back to sleep. What a pleasant surprise to be able to start my day with you. 🤗
Laura & Aaron, when you go to D-land, take an extra two days to visit the Pasadena area. The Huntington Gardens & Library are located in neighboring city, San Marino. You have to google to understand the scope of the gardens/library/museum. If in winter, the gardens won’t be at their prime, but well worth the visit. Bring strollers for the kids. . .lots of walking. Lived in SM for 46 years & visited the Huntington Gardens too often to count. It’s a very special place! Perhaps UA-cam potential subject for you share, as well.
When you were talking about how much “hands on” and close monitoring you do with the drip irrigation systems, it made me remember how much time irrigation took on the farm I grew up on. (Close by where you guys are - Nyssa). We had 90 acres of our own and rented approximately 400 more. Of course none of that was drip, but a VAST percentage of labor went into irrigation. It’s incredible the amount of work that is to manage. The nature of the region when you are planting in a desert. No way to make folks understand that, when they ask, “how do you set up your drip and how long do you run it?” Thank you so much for the recap video. I was missing it on Sunday. But I totally understand why you were maximizing the blessing of the lovely weather this spring. 💚💚💚
We go often to Disney World and our kids love it. There is something for everyone. I always say that yeah, my kids likely won’t remember it, BUT I WILL. I love going to see the joy and wonder in their eyes. Truly an experience like nothing else. While they don’t always or wont remember, I will. I remember seeing the girls faces brighten each time they see the castle, or the boys yell MIckey! When they see him, or my oldest first time on Rock and Rollercoaster and Yelling with excitement the whole time, or how the girls tease me when they see a teacup about how I get motion sick in them. Also side note, we went this year to Disney world at Epcot during the flower and garden show. I kept thinking, oh wow, if Laura could see this! Take the trip. Like the commercial says. The magic awaits.
I bought a Felco 2 in South Africa. Your recommendation. Costly at ZAR 1200. They send me a hoodie and as a street Evangelist I wear it all the time here in the Southern Hemisphere winter. Really a favourite of mine now. Donated all my old shears to the next generation. Things are so expensive here in Africa but the time saving for and buying Felco was worth every cent.🤗🤗
You both make me laugh when you talk about being embarrassed about your first garden tour videos! As they say, practice makes perfect and you have both grown so much. We all appreciate your sharing your gardens & your lives.
It seems like when you are completely finished with the Hartley, a lot of people would be interested in the entire gamut, how you like the size, what you would do differently, etc., sounds like an entire video? Those of us that are living vicariously thru you and will probably not ever have one , (never say never) would love watching the video as well!
Laura, I have a zone 6, high desert garden in Selah, WA. So, watching you deal with many of the same issues such as high pH soil (and water, in our case), puncture vine, bindweed, etc., makes me feel like I’m certainly not alone. My mother was an excellent gardener and I was a pretty good gardener until recently (lung cancer and a bad hip have severely hampered my mobility). I think I’m addicted to watching Garden Answer. You, Aaron, Benjamin and Samantha seem like part of my family. Keep up the great work!
I love to dream of a property that is acres. My kids who are all adults will ask me every time I talk about my list to plant whether adding to our vegetable garden or adding fruit trees if I have purchased some of the houses near us. Ugh 😣 I would love the opportunity but I doubt it will ever happen. I live vicariously through your journey of your property especially as you have added the two areas. Thanks for showing and teaching us how to make our land beautiful as well as productive.👍🏻🌺
Love love your harvest videos. There’s something very satisfying when you’re out harvesting in your videos. How you share with your friends relatives and the less fortunate. Blessings to you & your family.
That was such a welcome surprise to listen to the two of you chat again, really have missed your weekly highlights (checked every Sunday evening). They really do cap the week off and it's like having a visit with good friends. Thanks for sharing your life's journey and beautiful garden, home & family with us. Blessings from Cape Town, S. Africa.
I belong to the American Daylily Society. We have hundreds of members and hybridizers who have daylilies and cats and have absolutely no issues with poisoning.
I was an admin on a worldwide facebook page for cats with kidney disease. We had a few people who had cats that got sick from lilies. Exposure can cause kidney damage so I removed mine when I found out. I think it's smart to be aware of the dangers of plants to your animals/kids, and know what to watch for, but I don't think it all that common
It's incredibly negligent to disregard a known hazard, no matter how much you might love lilies. It's illogical to discount a risk because you haven't experienced it....I've never been hit by a car but the hazard exists, killing people and animals on a regular basis.
Roots are the supermen of plants. Just try and get rid of bamboo. I have been fighting the bamboo in my yard for six years and everytime I think I've got it under some kind of control, more pops up. I did have a piece that went unchecked and it grew under the siding on my house. I keep hoping it will attract pandas but I haven't seen any yet. I've tried everything from "natural" weed killer to high power weed killer and nothing kills the stuff. So as Aaron said roots grow through foundations, they are pretty strong.
You guys could probably hire a few extra temporary hands for when you want to go on vacation, oh and if you want to avoid YT flagging you as children's content just start cursing and drinking at the end of your videos😉 or in the beginning just say something like "Hey guys, you mother$%#@&rs are gonna love proven winners bi#$%^ng new annuals this year" 😄😄
Snowmageddon 2016. I will always remember the year of this unforgettable snowstorm because I met my husband to be in October and I knew he was a keeper when he was working a full-time job, shoveling my roof, his roof, and my mother’s roof too! Soooo much snow that year.
I'm so amazed at what you and your team have accomplished. It makes me feel better as my garden slowly comes to fruition because I know if I keep at it and give the plants time to establish that eventually I will have a yard that I can really enjoy. Right now it still seems a bit like a construction zone in areas, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for the inspiration and for showing us the actual process and how much time it takes. Also, any 'fails' you have had were also helpful. So happy I can watch you daily.
HOW AWESOME that Aaron wants a bat cave!!! What a lifetime gift to give your sweetheart Laura, or at least help to make it so. I'm thinking the new property is a PERFECT spot for it, which can be alternatively used as a storm/hazard shelter. Hey, he helped with your Hartley Dream Come True! How about them apples? 😉 You two with your children are the cutest family. ☺ As always, best wishes with your endeavors.
I live in Minnesota and we are the land of 10,000 lakes. Almost every lake amd pond has a Weeping Willow Tree right next to the water. You should be just fine doing that and the beauty of it is very fairytale looking.
I've been a cat person over half my life. I have houseplants that are ' poisonous ' to my fur babies and my yard is full of various lily varieties and I've NEVER had a cat, whether it's the strays that live in my yard or my house babies attempt to eat one of the 'poisonous' plants. Not one time in over 30 years. I don't discount anyone's concerns and if you feel you need to rid your living space of these plants, then that's your choice. Unfortunately, I've had people attempt to shame me because I don't do the same.
Cats don't need to eat lilies to suffer the consequences and your limited experience means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Lily pollen is toxic to cats, it's a simple fact.
@@mahoganyrootsstudio158 You may not intend to discredit this information, but your statements read in just that way. (particularly your choice to highlight the word 'poisonous' in such a way) There's no value in sharing an opinion that goes against scientific fact, other than to attempt to discredit that fact.
@@plot10homestead58 okay, you have your opinion and every right to it. Clearly there's nothing I could type that is going to satisfy you. So I'm not going to continue this conversation with you as I don't get into arguments on the internet. Hope your day is a good one.
Yay! So happy the recaps are back! ❤️ Just fyi, I have a dog and cats and a garden full of lilies (both kinds), delphinium’s, rhododendron etc…all apparently poisonous to cats but I have Never had any issues. My pets go through them, and sit under them and the plants don’t bother them. 🐶 🐱
Same! My cats just wander through my plants, even sleep amongst them, but don't chew or eat them. I'll certainly keep a closer eye now, but after 6 years with no problem with my day lily's I think it'll be okay! 🐈🌱🐈⬛
My grandma used to propagate her weeping willow. She would cut off a "whip" but the cut end in a bucket of water and it would sprout roots. And then she would plant it. She had quite a few on their property before they retired and moved
So I gave my daughter a fairy garden gazebo for her sixth birthday yesterday and without skipping a beat her reaction to opening it was to say “it’s a pretty gazebo like garden lady would have” My sweet girl calls Laura “the garden lady” and routinely asks if we can watch garden answer videos. Thank you for this beautiful, peaceful, lovely channel I can even share with my kids without worry of questionable language or content. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I so enjoy these recap videos, not only for the responses to the questions but also the discussions generated between the two of you. Conversations that create new ideas and designs, promote thought for solving problems, and give your viewers a whole new insight into how you’ve gotten to where you are with your amazing property. I’m enjoying this video on the deck in wonderful breezy 70° temperatures, an oh so welcome break from the 90s we’ve been having here in eastern Kansas! Keep the inspiration coming!
Good morning Laura and Aaron! I've watched ya'll for a few years now (I found your channel about a year or so after moving into your house) and appreciate all the information you give. I've definitely learned a lot! I loved the videos with submissions from viewers and have an idea (albeit a selfish one) for the next one..... what people have done with their hellscape/sidewalk planting. I've been struggling with my super full sun area and would love some ideas. Thank you for all you do!
There is a difference between a greenhouse, primarily used for growing and propagating plants, and a conservatory, which was originally conceived as a gathering and entertaining space, filled with beautiful plants and often featuring unusual plant specimens. I think the Hartley would most rightly be called a conservatory for your purposes.
What I don’t understand is, no one bothers to read the comments to see if someone else had mentioned the flickering lights. Just like the first persons comment. Why they need to read 20+ comments of the same thing boggles my mind. But, having said that, I didn’t check to see if someone just said the same thing as me right now!😂 highly doubt it though.
I am 50 and have arthritis so I got a battery powered weed eater/edger WORX brand. It stays charged about 2 hours and has wheels! I’ve only used it twice so I’m getting the hang of it but I am impressed with the power and ease for this old lady to still enjoy doing yard work.
Good morning.. I'm so glad y'all are back. I will have to like and save for later. I just got home after my 4th 12hr day at work driving a standup forklift and I'm going to pass out .. will definitely watch when I wake up!!!
It’s breezy and cloudy here in Northwest Michigan. I SHOULD be outside gardening, taking advantage of cool temp and shade, but here I sit with a cup of tea and a Twizzler!
Interesting comment (45:30) from someone saying “isn’t a greenhouse only for growing plants and not to make it a room”? 😳 Oh my gosh, there are so many beautiful green houses from big to small with tables and chairs, and beautiful plants. Instagram has some amazing pictures of greenhouse to die for! A wonderful retreat to enjoy “and make it whatever you want!” Love your response Laura!! Let’s be happy for her as she shares something she really loves. I for one, can’t wait to see her dream fulfilled.
I love that you've been sharing your roses more lately. I know it's because they're in bloom, but I feel like you focused more on them this spring and I appreciate it.
In Mississippi, we aerate beneath the outer 2/3s of the tree canopy because of our heavy clay soil. Tree roots tend to surface in our soil because they need an air exchange and our soil is too fine, heavy. Especially our Live Oaks. I'm always amazed when Laura uses the auger and does not encounter tree roots. I have been thrown before when a root wrapped around the auger.
@betty nettles ~ 😮😒Yikes, that does not sound any fun. I hope you weren't injured when you got thrown. That sure would have been an unexpected event. I am certain you are more prepared, if that ever happens to you again.
@@kimberleyfrasquillo3684 thank you! Had to give it up. After 30+ yrs of landscaping I have to hire help for the big stuff...Will be 67 next month. I caution the young people not to wear their bodies out...lol.
Your daily videos are the highlight of my day. I have a pretty stressful job, I watch as part of my break it brings me a smile. I'm learning so much too🌼🌴🌸🌲🌻🌱🌺🌿🌹🌷
So, recently I got a job at a garden center! And It has been amazing! Except working out in the direct sun can be a little tiring. But one day while making an order with my team, I looked down at the customer name and guess who it was??? Franz witte!!!! I was then extremely proud to be a part of where they get their plants and where Laura shops. ❤️ I love my job so much. I think of Laura and Aron often too while I'm looking at all the beautiful plants that they have in their own garden.
The convo about growing zones and plant labels, we get zone 9 stuff here in zone 10 because of demand. My zone 10 is Mediterranean coastal in California so we don’t see the super super hot temps, just not *super* cold either. We’ll get the lightest of frosts some mornings in the winter. We can get away with a lot which means that the zones are just one piece of the puzzle. Actual climate and chatting with other gardeners is a new gardener’s best bet for figuring out what to grow and when!
Howdy y'all, don't worry about the noise off of the microphone. I enjoy ALL the beautiful garden rooms. I don't even here any noise 🌳🏵🌸🤠❤️ have a blessed day 🙏
Thank you for another wonderful video. Love watching you and Aaron sit and chat and recap the latest events. I immediately thought of using a custom radiator cabinet to cover the ac unit when the comment came up to paint it. Here in the UK we use beautiful radiator cabinets to hide some fairly unsightly radiators in the home. I’m sure your handyman whose built so many beautiful structures for you could easily whip up a cabinet to cover the ac unit. Cheers, Shelley
Thank goodness the weekly recap is back!!! I have missed this so much. The knowledge I have gained from watching you is priceless. Thank you for your content. I won’t get into it, but your videos brought me back to life and has changed the course of my life. I know I’m not alone in that feeling. God Bless you, Aaron and your family.
I found your channel through a friend a few years ago, thank goodness for friends ! I love watching and learning from you guys . The one thing that has really helped me is kelated iron !! I never knew what was wrong with some plants and now I can identify when they're begging for iron . Thank you so much , and my plants thank you too 😉
Laura, you and Aaron are so similar to my husband and me. From personalities to hobbies. The only difference so far is Aaron wants a bat cave and my husband wants a moat 😂

Agreed! Historically, many Victorians used these type of green houses for outdoor rooms. There is nothing new with Laura's dream concept.

Babies don’t feel “left out”
You can also go more than once.
❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️
Our prayers are with you during your treatment and recovery. I totally agreed with your comment. Aaron teasing about a discount and Laura in the hole were just examples of how they show their real life. It is wonderful to be able to laugh at ourselves and share that with others freely.

Prayers are with you.🙏 As a cancer survivor I know somewhat of what you are going through...chemo, and all the ups and downs.

Laura, THANK YOU for answering my question, without addressingIT specifically. AGAIN!!!! ABSOLUTELY NO DISRESPECT!!! (Your vest made me think that. So sorry.) ( My children were born 89, 91, and 92...we looked like your duck family!)
The 10-month-old and I have the same thing in common...your voice makes us happy!
I wouldn't be surprised that Laura's purchase and advertising of the Hartley has been instrumental with their sudden sale increase in the USA.
@@mariafolch8067 Sales rep John should definitely add Laura & Aaron to the holiday card & gift basket rotation!! 😊
@@allisonpilmer451 I am certain that will happen once she finish setting it with garden included. Just wait!!
Talking about retirement….my mom is 97 and still is gardening everyday! A lot! Keeps her young. Plants 500 tulips by hand every fall! You never know
I understand your reasoning for not doing the recaps but they are my favorite videos of yours. It’s like a podcast and I can get stuff done while listening, instead of trying to see the beautiful plants
I love how gracious you are to acknowledge how valuable your help is! You two would be amazing to work for.
I have never heard the noise or the lights either......Maybe I am too far away.....NC haha have a great day.
I'm with you. I don't notice them either. I just like to watch and learn.
🙃I actually like that you take your time, & slowly add things to your space. To me, that is more realistic, & more enjoyable to watch.
If I remember correctly, Jim Putnam commented on wilting hydrangeas and says not to worry, if adequately watered, they will perk up as the temp decreases!
Laura, when you love what you do, and it is obvious that gardening is your passion, it is not "work".
Oh, yes! Paint the AC cover a dark gray AND put a metal cover over it. The gray will help turn the AC into a shadow. Maybe have the artist that did the stair rail create something.
So nice to sit down with a cup of coffee and there you guys were. Perfect
I would love to see that
We like whale watching tours from the redondo beach area
Absolutely agree! Good recommendations!
The Huntington Gardens with a visit to their tea house 👌
When you were talking about how much “hands on” and close monitoring you do with the drip irrigation systems, it made me remember how much time irrigation took on the farm I grew up on. (Close by where you guys are - Nyssa). We had 90 acres of our own and rented approximately 400 more. Of course none of that was drip, but a VAST percentage of labor went into irrigation. It’s incredible the amount of work that is to manage. The nature of the region when you are planting in a desert. No way to make folks understand that, when they ask, “how do you set up your drip and how long do you run it?”
Thank you so much for the recap video.
You all are good people and you bless so many in ways that we will never know.
Loved the recap. I have missed them. You are both such a joy to watch. Thank you for bringing joy and peace to my day, every day.
Hello Jan... waar het jy dit gekoop? Ek soek my moeg daaraan.
You both make me laugh when you talk about being embarrassed about your first garden tour videos! As they say, practice makes perfect and you have both grown so much. We all appreciate your sharing your gardens & your lives.
Don't bother editing the flashing light! I love it! There it goes! There it goes again! I'm easily entertained. Love your stuff!
With the how much a Hartley cost, you make it whatever you darn well please.
Africa.
We all know exactly what it will take to demonetize channels, where children are concerned. It's your channel and your call! Happy growing.
She is talking about daylilies, hemerocallis, not lilies, lilium.
@@andreaschnapp6454 Hemerocallis are toxic to cats in the same way that true lily varieties are toxic.
Lol....@ trying to attract pandas... i love bamboo..
🐼 😊
So happy the recap is back! It just makes my Sunday. Your videos can never be too long for me. I appreciate each and every one of them. Thank you!
As we travel through out Wisconsin , Tiger Lilly s are everywhere. Mostly in ditches. It pretty amazing.
Finally recap is back🙌🙌 these are my favorite videos that you guys do, it probably takes a lot of time and energy though
You guys could probably hire a few extra temporary hands for when you want to go on vacation, oh and if you want to avoid YT flagging you as children's content just start cursing and drinking at the end of your videos😉 or in the beginning just say something like "Hey guys, you mother$%#@&rs are gonna love proven winners bi#$%^ng new annuals this year" 😄😄
Good morning Laura and Aaron!!! So happy to have coffee and recap with you this morning!! Great video week. Hugs from N.C..❤️
Snowmageddon 2016. I will always remember the year of this unforgettable snowstorm because I met my husband to be in October and I knew he was a keeper when he was working a full-time job, shoveling my roof, his roof, and my mother’s roof too! Soooo much snow that year.
Good morning!! Coffee & GH recaps, yes! What a good way to start my day.
I didn't realize how much I missed your recap until watching today-thanks Laura & Aaron!
Okay, this video made me smile so much my cheeks hurt 😂the conversation about growing zones 🤔😂😂😂
You have the BEST videos! I don't
hear anything annoying. Thanks!
You two with your children are the cutest family. ☺
As always, best wishes with your endeavors.
I live in Minnesota and we are the land of 10,000 lakes. Almost every lake amd pond has a Weeping Willow Tree right next to the water. You should be just fine doing that and the beauty of it is very fairytale looking.
I love these Q&A videos. I learn so much from Laura and Aaron both.
Hemerocallis ‘Joan Senior’ is a beautiful white. It’s considered one of the most true white of the daylilies.
@@plot10homestead58 I'm aware of how lilies are toxic. I'm simply giving my personal experience on the topic. Not discrediting the information.
I feel that everyone should do their research and make the decision for their home and garden. It's an individual choice.
Yay!! Love waking up to my favorite couple! Thank you for all you do!! 😀🙏🌷🌸
My grandma used to propagate her weeping willow. She would cut off a "whip" but the cut end in a bucket of water and it would sprout roots. And then she would plant it. She had quite a few on their property before they retired and moved
So I gave my daughter a fairy garden gazebo for her sixth birthday yesterday and without skipping a beat her reaction to opening it was to say “it’s a pretty gazebo like garden lady would have”
My sweet girl calls Laura “the garden lady” and routinely asks if we can watch garden answer videos. Thank you for this beautiful, peaceful, lovely channel I can even share with my kids without worry of questionable language or content. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Laura, you are always a highlight in a video, but thumbs up for Aaron today! Such a great hype guy! God bless 🙏
Those palms absolutely give off a whole relaxing vibe 😉
What I don’t understand is, no one bothers to read the comments to see if someone else had mentioned the flickering lights. Just like the first persons comment. Why they need to read 20+ comments of the same thing boggles my mind. But, having said that, I didn’t check to see if someone just said the same thing as me right now!😂 highly doubt it though.
Love having these chats back! Makes my Sunday morning complete! Thank You!

Interesting comment (45:30) from someone saying “isn’t a greenhouse only for growing plants and not to make it a room”? 😳
Oh my gosh, there are so many beautiful green houses from big to small with tables and chairs, and beautiful plants.

Margie here. It is the joan senior daylily that you were thinking about.
Hi Laura and Aaron. Was happy to see a recap video again. Thank you so much for sharing!
